What happened to these 2 promised features?

I've never promised either.
I've gotten them down on a wish list which we dip into whenever we're looking at "quality of life" issues to add to an expansion.

Now that is a list I would love to see. As an aside - I think it would be fun if the Devs posted.... say the top ten and let players vote on what ones they wanted to see. Might be interesting if the devs are planning on adding two, let the players vote on one and then pick one themselves. *shrug* might be fun at least

That would be cool if it wasn't too much trouble. Obviously the voting would have to take place at the kiosks (not on boards where any troll can get in LOL). This would actually make an interesting (annual?) event. Election Day!
Doesn't mean Devs have to put everything they can think of on the list just the ideas they are currently throwing around. i.e. not appropriate for major changes but even getting to vote on minor things is fun and gives players a sense of ownership.
Look what they did with the OC (on TV). They sent out a bunch of tapes to people telling them they wanted their opinions on the show so they could make it better. This was after they had already filmed the whole season. They threw out the replies and all the people thought they had input. Wait... thats not what I wanted to suggest...

You can't please everyone, so lets concentrate on me.
BURN!!!!!! Statesman is in your face!!! hahahahahaha!!!

The reason why we don't do this is because players don't necessarily understand the effort that goes into features. Not everything can be voted on equally; some things take MUCH more effort than others. And this is not transparent...

I think he just meant if you had a list of QOL issues and you had an internal priority set for them, take some of the more equally matched ones and let the users vote. Not just a free for all voting on what would be next in. Obviously the "nominees" would be picked by you anyways... eh but whatever.
/I'd definitely vote.

Also, there's a lot of other things going on, often underneath the proverbial hood, that players don't notice. They don't know what's a priority and what's not just from a plain ole' stability standpoint.

If it were framed properly it could be managed, I think. You could say something like: "Here's 10 items from the wish list. Numbers 1-5 are easier to code and could be released sooner. Numbers 6-10 require more complex changes and would be in the pipeline longer. Given that, pick the top 3 that you'd like to see us focus on."

I think this is interesting. Hope it gets put in.

If a feature affects an AT with a low player base would it get as many votes as a feature for an AT with a large player base? (assuming you had to vote for one or the other)
I'd vote on a list of potential features, but the 80%+ of the total players that don't come to the forums wouldn't.

Precisely what I meant
Frankly, I think a lot of us might be darn interested in what gets done under the hood. I can imagine the rewriting that was needed for events, I can picture the way you're recoding turrets into pets, and so on, and I don't mind hearing more. You want to tell stories, we'll listen.
Hey, what's a typical day for you like? For Geko? For War Witch?
What comics are you reading? (I just discovered Invincible. Good stuff.) What books are you reading? (100 Decisive Battles, Paul Davis) What are you listening to? Make a programmer a hero for a day.

I can see a negative about the addition of a filter to remove Generic and SO drops:
In this game enhancements are like heavy coin, you can sell SOs for a nice ammount in the apropiate origin specific merchant.
If suddenly all that droped was SOs, it would be way easeir to get influence (thing that is already easy) and this may affect how the economy works once you need to spend influnece towards things like HQs or veicles.
Ouch, smacked down by Statesman!
Well, it's good to know it's still on the QoL list then.
I didn't expect the "remove title" item to be part of an extension, i thought it was a casual feature, and i just assumed it would be in I3.
But now i know, and knowing is half the batlle...

2- A filter so we don't get training and/or DO enhancements

type in the following: /bind y dialogyes
Now when you go to delete crummy enhancements from your enh tray, you can just hit Y.
Sounds stupid, but it saves a LOT of time. I delete enhancements in the middle of combat now.
I know that's not what you're asking for, but it has made me happy.
If only it would work in the enhancement screen (new enhancements and combining enhancements have a confirmation dialog).
Also makes trading really easy if you are giving an alt 1,000,000 inf.

You, Drakana, have a "can do" attitude. You very simply hacked that one out and gave him an option that would allow the player base to feel they were giving the game some direction, even if that's not the reality (might be, just sayin).
Just wanted to give you some props for being of the right mind on this one.
Personally, I really don't care to see a raw list.
Beyond the visible parts of the game you've got billing stuff, development/worldbuilding tools, game qa and support managment tools, network infrastructure, backup, patching, just to name a few.
There are probably wishlists for those, and sometimes the game development tools wind up being more complex than the game itself. Great tools make it easier and better for the designers and artists to create content, and then you wind up usually with more and better content for play.
I think all that has its own set of wishlists too, and to be honest I usually don't second guess what the developers do because of the things I listed.

I knew where you were going with that... however when I think of a "filter" I'm thinkin' that it would be selectible somehow of which lower level enhance you would not receive...
Personally, I currently delete all Training enhance almost as soon as I get them. I'd rather spend my "sell time" on DOs and SOs... therefore, I'd set my personal filter to not give me anymore Trainings.
Basically, NOBODY over 30 uses Training enhance... so what's the point of recieving them? They are more a nuisance than anything.
As I see it... you go one of 2 ways... either A) prevent Training enhance from even being given to a 30+ player or 2 give us the option to make a selection to deny those training enhance from entering our inventory.
Honestly, this would be a VERY good move for the game IMHO.
Number 1 feature I want to see is more interactivity to missions. Fundamentally they are mostly all the same - clear the lair. I know it might take more AI coding or something, but if there was more that the bad guys were doing, more to interrupt or interact with, it would go a long way to combating the charges of "sameness" that plague missions in this game.
I agree. Apart from a few minor things that could be imroved, the game is excellent. If it wasn't we wouldn't be in here reading the forums begging for more. Plus, we don't see al the background that goes into making the game. So far the only real gripe I have is the w/ event, but the devs prolly did that so we could play with diff. at types before pvp was released. I say thanks for the great game.
p.s. I would vote too.
