You cannot change character names. Only characters with trademarked/copyrighted names will get their names changed.

Really, the only thing you can do is delete the character and recreate it.

Pine: If you get a free trial code, create a second account and if your computer can handle it, load both games at once (or if you have two computers, one on each comp) then transfer from your actual account's characters to the temp account, then switch chars on your main account, and transfer back. If you don't want to rely on strangers.

Another option is to become friends with someone in-game until you trust them, or have someone you know IRL to make an account...I say IRL because you can punch them in the face if they steal your inf

Well, I have made quite a lot of friends, but none of which I'd trust with 700k influence (which I have on a level 27 I used to play 2 years ago). Sadly I don't have any IRL friends that play (damn you WoW >.&lt

Ok, I may be blind but I am not seeing the "Favorite Topic!" button. The only one I'm seeing is "Remind Me!", which places the thread in the "My Home" section but not under "Favorites".

COH GvE edition is pretty much the same thing is as regular COH. Patch notes are posted on the main page. And, no, you have to go through the updater to patch. There's a link to the patchnotes on the updater.

Well, have you actually bought a version of the game, or were you on a trial account?

If you were on a trial account, you'll need to buy a full version of the game.

If you already have a full version of the game, go to the CoH homepage. In there, there will be a button to the left for "Account". Click on that, and then click on "Manage Account". It will take you to the NCSoft page where your account info is stored. Set it up in there for monthly billing (or whatever billing schedule you want) and it can automatically charge your credit card every month to let you keep playing.
