Yeah, burn is sweet. Just wait until you get FE, it’s really REALLY freakin' sweet. In fact, it’s my personal favorite power in the entire game considering it allows you to transcend the dmg cap for for a good 20 seconds

Hmm, good points. I withdraw my statement.
  3. So the Devs are going to have to animate two entirely different sets of animations just so SD using can use it? I dont see that happening.
  4. SS/fire is better at farming, hands down.
In PvP however they are somewhat tied.
The extra dmg FE and burn offers is very useful in allowing you to kill the enemy before they kill you in a PvP environment. Of course, for PvP you will need a ton of -KB procs thanks to i13s stupidness, even then its not always enough.
But with /elec, if your in a 1v1 duel setting at least, against an opponent that you would otherwise be tied with you can eventually sap them of their end and thus win. And you have an actual god mode, very useful.
And i guess one important think about brutes is, imo, they aren’t that great at PvP when compared to scrappers or tanks without the frenzy temp power which you only get redside.
  5. SS/fire/mu. will be a GOD in fire ambush mishs.
  6. Good question. I would guess it would roll every 10 seconds just like a proc in any other toggle. But repel is a bit different than any other toggle, i guess. So now im wondering the same thing >.<
  7. ultrawatt

    first brute

SS = Claws > stone is about where its as far as epicness imo. SS and claws are both someone tied and both have great synergy with WP, i LIKE SS more but thats just me. Stone, its got great mit but imo its got crappy end (WP should help with that of course though) and not great AoE. Really with any 3 of them you will do fine.

I use brawl plenty during the low levels, and it's really sweet. But putting it on auto, really?

Its surprising the amount of people i hear saying elec/stone is great AoE (got into an argument once with someone who said elec/stone was the BEST farming brute).
I think they must be joking. -65% rech and some -30% dmg. Sure you might have decent amount of AoE attacks by why bother that’s just ******* sad, especially if you want to farm.

    SS/Fire

Well, if cost isnt really a big deal ill just post the none-farm build im using (im feeling to lazy to make something else). Only think thats ever a problem sometimes is end, and thats just in long AV fights and i still do a lot better than it looks like i would.
    Using spirit radial alpha.

  12. Ive got a DM/SR had he is damn near unkillable, tanking mutliple AVs at one. But ive been thinking soft capped /SD might even be tougher, as well as making up for DM/'s semi-lackluster dmg.

But here are a few pointers.
    1. punch is over slotted; just the KCs will be enough
    2. id move the res/def from tough to fire shield, its only about 1% more s/l res but why not.
    3. oblits are a bit end heavy for FS
    4. Maneuvers is overslotted, def/end and +7.5% rech is plenty
    5. FE is underslotted, you want at least 2 slots in it. It’s just that good.

i checked all the sets on the Black market and everything is really expensive. So you can get alot of recipies for this stuff by doing Tip mish's?
Tickets are a great way to get good stuff (bronze rolls, for the love of god bronze rolls). That is, good stuff you sell and then have plenty of money for purples. Not to mention on a fire farm in AE ss/fire, on just SOs, is a demi-god.

Luckily flashy is something we do well around here. If you want something that grows pretty quickly and gets progressively more flashy, you might consider an Earth/Fire Dominator. The Earth powers are very loud and cause lots of screenshake, and the Fire powers do good damage. Later on you can pick up Rain of Fire and Fireball for even more damage and explosions. The Earth pet is also really good.

I have to second both of these. SS/WP really feels very epic right from lvl 1. I’ve never actually had an earth/fire though (only mind/fire) but i have teamed with them and always think they look cool >.<

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that SS/fire feels pretty epic (a ***** to lvl up though unless you use a fire AE map, in which you feel like GOD) it’s got SS/ so you get HULK SMASH!!!! but then /fire (once you get burn) really gives you an "AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! IM SOO ******* POWERFUL I BLOW UP EVERYTHING NEAR ME. AH!" super saiyan-esque feeling (one of mines costume's is yellow burn cuz of that *sigh*). But ive been told thats overselling the product. :P

I really do agree with your post, 2R=1D is a bit to simplified and not really realistic, thus truely applicable to true gameplay... but i still laughed.
  19. I'd try to get more +rech if your farming fire dmg. Since fire dmg doesnt have any -def purple insp will easily be enough. And i for one really like RotP, if you dont though you will be fine.
  20. Well re-read it, im even more worried. What if that booster pack IS the rest of the Alpha slot, are they moving to a micro payment system?
  21. I do really like the idea of of that letter. But im worried that it might not be a long time until we get the rest of the Alpha slot.

Yeah, i dont see that being too much dmg considering my SS/fire's build has BA at 21.89dps already.

Edit: Just took a look at a Spine/fire scrapper they get about 23 dps.
