Yep, if you have JUST SS your AoE aint gonna be THAT great.
But its got some sweet mitigation as well as good dmg. -

Is slotting blazing aura with a lot of chance for damage procs as good as I think it is?
But the proc will only have a chance to go off every 10 seconds which means on average it will go off every 50 seconds or so. Proc are much better in attacks, my build happens to have two in Foot Stomp. -
Ah yes, you could defently say its gimped, it's STdps, and non-farm potential is for sure haha.
But the ST attacks dont need to be used anyway, as you have a full AoE attack chain. And as far as acc in FS you're tohit capped against +4s with just one rage. -

I dont think they do, actually. Ive run several toggles all at one time, their "comets" were in sync. And they had different end/sec costs

If you plan making a farming build I wouldn’t worry about s/l def and just slot as much +rech as you can. This is actually what i did with mine. Making **** tons of inf is fun, and it’s actually incentive to farm when it’s all you can do haha.

Using fences as well is the idea. Soul tentacles, it turns out, is horrible AoE and hits about 3 targets or so even in an ambush.

I would NEVER recomend soul when it comes to farming. At least not ambushs, which is what i recomend for farming, i used to farm with /soul and then i respeced into /mu. At the time nothing else had changed on the build other than that and my time went down from 6 or 4 minutes a mish. So mu is what, 33% better?

Your build is going to have horrible horrible end.
And dont slot so many oblits, when trying to hit the SL soft cap those should be a last resort. 6 slots for 1.875% s/l...not very good.
Oh, and the FF+rech proc in Foot stomp is AWESOME if you are farming ambushs. I veiw it as a must have. -
Both SS or Claws would work, imo. SS has the best AoE for the most part but claws is up there. So really whichever you think fits the concept better.

here, i made a couple of small changes. FE is up a little bit more often now, every second is suprisingly useful.
But what you posted looked sweet already, a nice mix +Rech and def.

The only powers that i know of that are not affected by fury are the vet powers. Temp power are affected I believe, but i may be wrong.
Pool, temp, and vet powers all build fury. That i know for a fact. -

But, 325mil isnt very much anyway >.<
Edit: PS+end is TOTALLY worth it as well. I slot that before miracle/numi. -

I remember trying to figure something like this out, ive even thought of the idea of starting a thread (today in fact), only i was also counting at the -res cap to find out the highest dmg that can be delt for one attack in game. I gave up after awhile but so far it ended up being energy transer+FE (dont worry i know about the dmg it deals to you) on a brute.
Clocking in at approx 7238.9625 dmg unless i dont know how -res works
Edit: stalker AS ended up not actually being all that great because they dont get FE. -

I am almost always at the dmg cap for my attacks on my SS/fire/mu, as i use macros for combining and popping insp. Of course, that is after the 80%+ they have slotted in attacks, as i am not always at the actual cap for dmg in the combat numbers window. That prolly averages 590%ish(690%) . I do generally hit the cap in every mish just not the whole time.

In particular these are combinations that at least while theorycrafting look extremely promising for farming fire AE:
Scrapper...
Dark/Fire (Dark has at least looks like it had awesome AE damage)
It has:
Shadow Maul, 5 targets but does THREE times the dam of FS with -act and insanely fast recharge.
Dark Consumption + Soul Drain, both medium damage PBAE with amazing secondary effects.
Midnight Grasp, A RIDICULOUSLY hard hitting version of shadow maul that roots(burn baby burn?) and once again extremely fast recharge. 5 target max again but recharge in 15 sec base and more than triples the damage of similar 10 cap ae.
I'm I missing something? 5 targets, triple damage, 10 targets 1/3rd damage? What am I missing in regards to darks AE capabilities?
Spines/Fire (Spines has a ton of slow/imob, which would help negate the run away issue and completely synergize with burn)
Dark Consumption and soul drain (according to mids) are going realistically make out at about 10 and 9.5 dps respectively. Which would be a total of 195 AoEdps.
With Maul IF you are going to use it every time its up has about 120ish dps which is 600 AoEdps. But it is very unlikely you will be using it EVERY times its up right when its up, at which point it's dps decays rapidly.
If you could provide more accurate numbers that would be great, my were only quick estimates from mids. -

What about DM/FA on a scrapper? The initial burst on burn should negate most of the problems of them running away and DM's has 3 awesome AE's one which happens to greatly increased your damage. Or for the matter a Spines/FA or elec/FA scrapper.
That would get us back to Elec/FA.. The difference was said to be somewhat small between elec/ and SS/, but what about a scrapper that packs inherently stronger damage packing elec/fa?
What about various other builds? Can any archetypes come close to the inf/time ratios of ss/fa? Obviously controllers can, but what is the take from a Fire/Kin or Fire/Rad comparatively. What about Stalkers/Dominators/Corruptors/MM etc?
1. if you mean Dark Melee as DM...it has some of the worst AoE out there
2. The reasons trollers have fallen out of favor is because of 2 things i think.
a. they spend too much time not ACTUALLY attacking (i.e. using FS)
b. Ambushs have because the best way to farm, trollers can not do this unless they build for a ton of def or use a lot of purples and oranges. Even still they can die.
