Thanks for the notes. I've debating on slotting up the first attack, and totally forgot about bruising, was thinking about damage (scrapperlock) and attack chains. I'm gonna try and get both, but might just switch as I plan on using gloom a lot as I love it on my brute.
I didn't know recharge didn't help hibernate, it shows it does in mids but must be an error. So your saying its like OwtS and such right?
I'm not gonna take hasten on this guy for a couple reasons. One is that the other 3 toons im playing atm all have hasten. The other is I don't want my hands on fire on an ice tank for theme reasons. I have fire mastery now though but thats until I make it redside for the PPPs. I think I can get close to double EA w/o hasten, but maybe not. I think with darkest night one EA with a half double will probably be enough to keep me alive.
I'll revise it tonight and repost with the inputs. -
I slotted stamina and health actually better in my revised build. I know how good the PP+ is and kept it accordingly. I think the build I posted will be solid, both tanking/survivability wise as well as damage(for a tank) and be able to sustain both end wise.
I would request notes as they would be appreciated. -
Yeah I think if I went Ageless that alone would solve my solo fight end problems, and be able to stick with spiritual. Although I could go cardiac for a little more resist as well as end, and still have ageless for recharge.....
After thinking about the attacks though, I know it will be less damage, but Im thinking of switching out of smite for shadow punch higher slotting, or try to slot both for the bruising debuff...........so many options!!! -
Yes, the recharge was an error. I was thinking it was a click mez protection (too much /sr i guess) and this was corrected live. Live I am using a similiar build although it it is missing the kin combats, 3 lotg, and the miracle/numi procs. I realize that the miracle/numi will help with endurance, but not the amount I'm seeing. I have revised the build to have 47 s/l/e/n def. With darkest night I figure I can get to 5% chance for most of them to hit during new stuff, and be fine of course in old content. It also has same recharge, 100% more regen, and better end use and recovery. The good news also is it saves me from having to use the kin combats. I also shifted some slots around for better end redux as well. From playing several trials and a few tfs now, I have noticed the following:
Holds aggro just like promised
Very sturdy, although nrg damage sucks, and trials are full of it
Very fun
Current build sucks end hard
End is fine when fighting big groups one after another, but on longer AV fights, the two end fillers don't do enough. I changed up dark consumption around for this also, hopefully giving me mroe when against one target.
I'm going spiritual for the recharge/heal (hello hard cap HP and damn near perma)
Still debating on ageless vs barrier. Being one to fix end problems, and of course help recharge for me and team. Or add some resist on top of great def. Either might be overkill and I'll have some time to try it out before I get it unlocked.
Also, I'm not planning on using shadow punch, but its my bruising attack, which now that I think of it I should probably switch it and Smite, or try and take both.
Know I rambled on a bit, but please give me your thoughts.

My build is below. I was going for trial capped s/l/e/n defense. It seems from just a little bit of content running that my endurance sucks. Its more than fine when fighting big group after big group, but when fighting one-two mobs (avs and such) I run out of end quickly. I'm trying to keep build relatively cheap (no purps/pvps). Please give me notes. Also, is slotting for 59% def overkill or does it help in new trials, and probably trials to come. Going to go spiritual for alpha, although I'm considering cardiac now, although that will slow my recharge down quite a bit, and hoarfrost would be more than 4 sec outside of perma. Also I do'nt wan't hasten for theme reasons.

Thanks yall for the quick replies. Lemme make sure it worked. On the toon I'm on I entered 48 (for +3s) instead of the default 75 value. When i right click an attack, it says 101% acc in lower left corner. Is that the number I should be looking at, and if so I just need 95% since thats the cap, right?

How do I check my chance to hit +4s, and +3s in mids. I think you have to adjust chance or percent to hit, but don't know how much, or where to see your actual chance once you do adjust it. If someone can give me detailed instructions i would much appreciate it.

I'll post my build below. Hasten isn't perma (1-2 sec downtime, but thats fine for me cause PB is on auto). 90% DDR on a SR kinda makes me cry a little bit, a slot or two more in passives would get this up easy.

Aside from one botched MoBAF run, i haven't failed any since launch, and that was just due to half a team not listening to leader. Say what you will about Freedom as a whole, but these are both easy now over here, and quick to get on one too.

Kinda off topic, but has anybody got MoLambda yet? MoBAF is fairly easy but ive heard the exact opposite on MoLambda.

To the OP, I thought the same thing on my first few runs on tuesday. I had heard from people on test that it would be hard on my main, ma/sr. I said bring it. They did. On the second day i probably ran 15 of them together, and didn't fail a one. Once everyone, including myself, had the big buffs going, I very rarely, if ever, died. Popping 3-4 purples helps until you get your 50+3 going (I would suggest going for these first, and delaying interface and judgement for the level shifts first, but thats just me). I went with the Barrier Destiny. More defense, and for a short time, capped resist, on a ma/sr, that buffs everyone within a huge range, yes please!!!!!! Then again I have plenty of recharge already, and i figured added def/resist would negate the need for the added regen, and I have aid self for a lil self heal.
Stick with it man. Don't know what server your on, but it only took mine a day or so to get it pretty mapped out and with solid plans. The trick is to get on a full league before you start then all go in, that way you definatly have a full team. Just incase that isn't what you've been doing.
And as said above already, 9CUs are a beast, but your a scrapper kill them quick. I volunteer for bot duty almost every time, if its not volunteered for me. If there are enough of them lingering around that haven't been killed and are super self buffed, they can kill anything in 1-2 shots. The early BAF runs that were a failure for me were for this reason, couldn't come back from their buffs.
In general, no its not like pvp, yes some things have to hit buffs, but your on a team of 16-24, there will be buffs. Just get on a good team before hand. Its trials like these that I am really glad im in an active sg/coal, although the pugs yesterday that I were on were fine, first day not so much, but it was new stuff for most, myself included.
And I can already see, down the road of course, a solo lambda scrapper challenge, believe me it will be coming, but I'd say after all slots are unlocked and slotted with t4s. -
Also, if your on a budget, crushing impacts and doctored wounds are cheap ways to get both good enhancement numbers and a 5% recharge bonus, as well as a couple other good ones.

I think brawling I think drunken bar fights, throw object (like the grav power random) mix of punches kicks headbutts elbows knees.
This has came up before and I think the devs are too busy with the new slots to add any new powers at all......any.....in the near future.
I think new powersets are definatly needed. Adding an aoe and a pet to each toon you have is cool, but NEW stuff is what keeps us vets around, not additional stuff to OLD toons we have.
Maybe just me though. I admit I haven't read much of the upcoming stuff, or tested at all, but I think from what I've heard the alpha slot is the one that really changes the toon the most.
I have really been craving a street brawling kind of set, like MA and SS in a blender with dirty blows. -

Yeah i figured I do'nt have the recharge for the chain you mentioned granite. I figure against AVs and such I'll have to throw slice in there. Against groups I'll be using slice and whirling all the time so not as big of an issue. Down the road I might throw the glad+3 on him and some purple sets, but I do'nt think even a few 10% recharge bonuses will get that second off of hack, but maybe frankenslotting hack on top of 2-3 10% recharge would do it though. I could take hasten I guess, but I'm really tired of that power honestly. I know its awesome, but the visuals get on my nerves. My ma/sr and cold/rad both have it perma, and my farmer has it close to perma. I don't want it on all my toons. And against AVs and such maybe I'll be lucky enough to have some SB on me and that should help also.

If you use benumb after sleet and infrigidate, it should hit fine. My cold/rad def only has one acc 3rech IOs in it and he very seldom misses. I'm not a numbers guy, but I'd say that after sleet and infrigidate, that with one acc slotted, and a few global bonuses, you have the best chance of it hitting possible.

Yeah the thought of slotting kinetic combats on a sr make my wallet hurt, but an option i guess. The stealth makes sense too tho.
My main is ma/sr, and has flight. Through no real intention, just what was givin by chance bonuses, his sprint/ninja run is a lot faster than flight, which kinda pisses me off really. But flight still there for theme, mobility, and hami i guess. Can we get an increase to flight? All these incarnate abilities and we still can only fly as fast as I drive on the highway behind a cop? -
Well I made a few revisions to the build. About the same really, lil more recharge, biggest difference is heal other/self 3 slotted each, numinas, so some good bonuses. His HP is capped when OwtS is running, at 2100 rest of time (when t4 spiritual is going). If my quick math is right, he will be at 89% DDR all but 10 seconds of the time. Seems pretty good I guess, is 95% possible on a /sd?
And on the alts. I definatly have one main, and he will get his shiny new stuff before the rest of my toons no doubt. He has 225 or so shards and 10 or so commons sitting around already, to either spend on new stuff or get a 2nd alpha, depends I guess. I love playing him so having to get other salvage is cool, just hope its not a whole lot where it feels like grinding/farming just for the salvage. The cold def is prob number two after him. The tank I have is mroe or less to have one to switch to when sg/coal needs one really. The brute is for farmin. The new bs/sd scrap will fall in somewhere not sure yet, he is hella fun, and fairly survivable on just SOs, although I think I'm gonna IO him today whenever the servers come back up.
Here is the build. Any critiques would be awesome. Depending on how I like him 6 months from now he might get the glad+3 then some purples, but who knows at this point, thats a lot of farming/WW work.

You could lose the celerity stealth for another run IO. You could 5 slot kinetic combat instead of crushing impacts, although it would be hella expensive, you don't need the bonuses really. This could open up slotting a bit elsewhere tho, but you'd lose the 5% recharge.
Really impressive speed for not even hving SS. -
Thats prob what I'll do, i only have 6 50s atm, one just hit 50, the others 3 have tier 4s, one will be a few weeks, and the other I just run the weekly tfs for the double merits for rolls. New guy will get a lot of action once he gets his alpha unlocked
If you do all the tfs for the common salvage instead of spending shards for it, you can get tier 3 pretty quick, tier 4 just takes time tho. -
It actually looks pretty darn good to me. My inv/elec tank build is below for reference only really. I know some stuff is different, but maybe some alternate ideas.

On the toons ive solo'd him on, i used everything i had at once, reds, buildup and tried to over come it. Several toons i asked for help ahead of time. First time I ran it on my ma/sr, i didn't even know what the deal was just killed him, then wondered why in the hell everyone else needed help, until i ran it on my defender. I'd wait for good timing when rage is doubled, pop a tray full of reds, and hope for the best if your die hard on doing it solo, otherwise ask for a hand or two.

Yeah hell i forgot to hit paste again. I only moved a few slots around if i remember right. took on from cj and the ff proc and moved into two of the toggles and 4 slotted lotg.
