    SS/Fire Build

    POST-ACTION

    With issue 19 i have been toying with a couple of my brutes. It seems my SS/Fire brute has jumped to the forefront for running level 50 content. I am not one to run at +4/8 all the time and usually it is +1/8 but this build just melts everything in her path (ok, not Archanos, Carnies, or those annoying DE) but everything else.

    Just looking for feedback on the build. I purposefully didn't take hasten but have another build with hasten instead of AS. Personally, the fun of playing juggle the boss is to much to resist.

    Thorw my new issue 19 build in here as well. Been a tough thing respec'ing so many of my characters and this boy has fallen slightly by the wayside compared to my S/L softcapped SS/Dark brute and my softcapped M/R/Aoe Dark/Shield but he may come back into play over my S/L softcapped fire/dark, claws/dark and ss/fire.

    3rd Build

    So I am curious with Posi's message who was the first to notice that we had 3 builds available after running the incarnate missions. Not sure I will make any use of it since I rarely, if ever, swap builds but it is interesting to have an incarnate build and an "exemp" build.

    Ran Hami twice last night with my brute on green team 2. Had a total of 9 drops the first run (including the reward) and then 3 drops the second run. Not a bad evening!

    This isnt about what slots we are using/going to use but about what type of character could make the most powerful incarnate.

    I have taken several characters into the first mission of the incarnate arc and I have to say my Ill/Rad (perma RA, Hasten, PA, etc) just pwned everyone else's time in that mission. I thought my brutes/scrappers blew through the mission until I ran it on the troller. Just for fun I aggroed as many of the Shadows as I could and he destroyed them in seconds.

    Let me just say it was an interesting surprise. Anyone else have a tale of their future incarnate self?

    Yep, had my emnhancements all returned to me. . . While I have to admit it was a royal pain watching almost 2 billion worth of enhancements disappear I appreciate the assistance from the NC support staff.

    In the future, notification on the boards or in-game would be greatly appreciated but for now I take my hat off to the NC Soft support crew!

    Wow. . . Just noticed this when I logged in this evening and was working on some issue 19 respec ideas. I had emailed myself an entire set of Hecatomb's in anticipation of issue 19 dropping this week. And now they are gone! Wow, I hope they roll this back.

    I've heard people say that Footstomp will burn through endurance in a hurry if you don't slot it for end redux, so it's something to consider.
    I dropped hasten because it wasnt worth the trade off in endurance management issues. I still have perma-rage but do not have to suffer the double crash of hasten + rage and watch my blue bar fall off the deep end.

    Air Superiority is simply a preference. It gives the character a little more of that super strength flair, plus it is fun juggling adversaries while Footstomp recharges.

    I am not as comfortable slotting for typed damage since I still havent seen it work quite as well as positional defense. I guess that is what testing is for but man that is a lot of coin to blow on a theory.

    Evening all!

    Ok, issue 19 not dropping today has simply made me insane with toying on my dark/ss brute. I have copied below my 2 builds and was wondering what you thought may be better. The first build is what I am running on test and I have to admit he is rather crazy fun. The second build is a tinkering build but wondering if it would be worth it to softcap to S/L instead of my 40% defense to melee.

    By the way, both builds are on the modified mids to include inherent fitness. I believe Leandro posted this modified version.

    Back to the Justice server after 3 years away.

    Justice was home to my first 50, my first christening of my name (my old sg was the first to start calling me thedarkeone - ultimately changed to just Darke), and the site of my first intro to the game.

    I have several toons looking for a new home with issue 19 dropping (hopefully soon) and was wondering if anyone on Justice would welcome back this old timer? Particularly looking for sgs that play in the evenings (EST) and run task forces. I solo mostly but I love the chatter of an active SG and am always willing to lend a helping hand.

    Any takers for an almost 63 month vet?

    So weird I played until almost midnight last night and nothing happened after I logged off. Jumped on this morning (for longer than I should have) and when I logged off wham-o the download starts.

    All I can say is. . . bring it on! I have some builds I cannot wait to tweak with inherent fitness!

    Closing in on 63 months here and I still play the game at least 3 times a week (even in my busy season when I can log as many as 70 hours+ a week at work).

    Simply put I love this game. Always dreamed I could fly when I was a kid and now I can. . . And Super Jump (love Super Jump). . . and super speed. . .and so on and so on. I enjoy playing my 50's more than anything else, especially when I have their builds just right and can ramp up the challenge.

    You guys on the forum entertain me relentlessly. I dont post much but I check the forums at least once a day (come on closed beta invite).

    And while my entire SG now sits empty, once it was filled with RL friends and online friends, and most of time is spent soloing, i still love the community in game. For the most part, the people that play this game are friendly, helpful, and the embodiment of the comic book hero. I have never played a game where the chatter is as much fun and spirited as the game itself!

    Hate to say it but nowadays you cannot even comment if they are eligible for rehire. This is my field of work and trust me not a good thing. Give dates of employment and that is it, nothing more nothing less.

    As for BaB, I will miss him as I have missed his posts (and all the devs lately) posting on the forums. Now I know we have an issue or 2 in closed beta with 19 coming out and all their babble about issue 20. But still I miss the days when the devs would post a few times in a day.

    I, too, will pass on this. Love all my costume boosters (and I mean all since I bought everyone) and have found a use for everything. This however. . . Color me. . . Meh!

    I dont fault them for creating it or for selling it. But this is deifnitely something that has zero interest for me. Still I wish someone from marketing would have commented on the negative responses.

    Just logged onto my account, logged into Freedom, and all my open character slots are now locked? Was fine earlier and other servers appear fine but right now I am missing 6 slots.

    Anyone else have this issue?

    Here's the build I have been running for the last year. Orignally, i had him pimped out with recharge bonuses but still found him lacking. You really dont need to hit the soft cap since you have so much other mitigation at your disposal. But a decent level of defense and you can run through pretty much anything.
