    Debt @ lvl 50?

You may not be able to collect XP but you can still pay off debt to earn badges.
  2. My 50 grav/storm is my main badger. There are many different and effective ways to play this combo, and they are all fun. You can cause all sorts of chaos, or put the baddies exactly where you want them and hold them there while you pound them into the ground.

This, I think, used to be the biggest problems with TFs before SSK went into effect. If you had to exemplar, you got no XP. So most folks were probably like me and said "Well I'll come back and do that when I'm 50 and not trying to get XP" and then never got around to playing that TF on that character.

So perhaps AE is not quite as drastic because you get something, but I agree that it doesn't seem like you were intended to have to choose between xp and story. But with the advent of SSK this is no longer a problem on TFs so I have hope that maybe, someday, the devs will fix AE XP.
  4. And why exactly should you be able to do that? It seems to me there are 2 reasons why TP works the way it does - 1) you can only teleport to somewhere you can see (no blindly teleporting into a bunch of GMs) and 2) the hop-and-stop approach is what slows it down to a relative speed to the other travel powers. If I could open a window and click where I want to go, what reason would I have to take SS or SJ? (Fly gives you Z-axis control so that is cool enough already).

Personally I would like to see a little less end-drain, or a little more range out-of-the-box, but it's very workable as it is. If you want something that requires less effort, take Fly (90% of my toons use fly, only a few use TP).
  5. I have a dark/dark tank that I haven't been able to get out of the 30s. He dies too much to be any kind of alpha tank. I think he might move redside, where there is less focus on protecting the squishies and more bashing.

I'm not an expert or anything, but perhaps this could be improved if, oh, I dunno, maybe if Silver Mantis actually existed on a map somewhere? Why is this the only TF/SF that requires 1) a VG, 2) a mission computer/oracle 3) if not all-VG, the VG needs to allow the leader's teammates in the base. No other force/trial/raid has requirements like that - do they add any value to the SF at all?

I thought that the point of that bind was that you didn't get the targeting reticle. If you want that, use the bind I use:

    /bind lshift "powexec_name teleport"

With this bind, you hit left shift once, your targeting reticle comes up, and you click where you want to go.

Note: If you time it right, you can actually hit the lshift again right before you teleport. Then when you come out of the teleport, you will already have the targeting reticle up for the next hop.

    Phantom army

/kin works well because it's easy to get perma-PA. And remember Phantasm can be buffed with your SB, FS, etc.
  8. Kheldians get an inherent travel power, negating the need for one of the pool picks. The fact that they get four already kind of means they are getting an extra pool power if you look at it that way...

    Phantom army

From my experience, the wiki is correct- no buffs to the PA (they are invincible anyway, so that leaves the dmg and accuracy IOs you can slot into them). Disruption field is kind of a weird case - it's actually an enemy debuff, with an ally target... although I have never tried it personally to know if it indeed works on a decoy.
  10. Fire control changes drastically at 32 when you get the imps. And when you hit 38 and take Fulcrum Shift, then you will see why its supposed to be so fantastic.

Yes it is a very late-blooming set. Playing on teams and slotting some IOs will offset some of the squishiness.
  11. You mean it wasn't intentional? Seems like its been that way for months. You are talking about the portals the Behemoths come out of, right? And not the ones that we use to get around Oranbega?

    Nicti Damage

According to Paragonwiki, the Quantum Damage used by Void Hunters and Quantum-class enemies was nixed in the February 12, 2008 patch in favor of Negative Energy damage. I've been playing my warshade lately and have seen a lot of "Nicti damage" showing up in my combat window whenever a quant/void is around. Does anyone know how this Nicti damage relates to the allegedly-removed Quantum damage? Has there been a change since the 2/12/08 patch? Nicti damage isn't listed in the wiki.

Hahaha, I like this. And I also agree with those before me, I can think of many reasons to dual-box (badging, SG management, etc). Playing on a PuG is not one of them.

That, and it can be incredibly frustrating when things just don't work. I bought and tried that other cryptic game, but no matter what it just would not work with my video card. I still haven't played it (after hearing what's going on now, I may be lucky on that count)

I think you mean the chance of getting a drop (or 2 or 3) from 3 minions is 7.8%. The chance of it being purple is astonomical, and also a multipart problem since you can get 1, 2, or 3 drops and they all have a chance to be purple. I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader

  17. When GR comes out, it may take a little while but the markets are going to equalize. And anyone will be able to send a character to the other side to shop and then return, it will just take some time to do the arcs (if I understand GR correctly). So can someone explain to me why this method of market-sharing is good but just flat out merging the blue and red markets is bad?

Also keep in mind the limitations of your equipment (glad to see you got it working). For a while I was playing this game on a laptop, and it worked fine but I had to use low gfx settings. I recently upgraded to a relatively cheap $600 machine that runs everything on the highest settings (with 2 program instances, even!) and it really made a difference. Sure the gameplay is the same, and its not like I can do anything I couldn't before, but the water, shadow, and depth of field effects just add a lot to the game environment. Can't wait to see what they add in the upcoming Ultra mode!

I made a MA arc that involves cleaning up Grandville Beach... but all of the allies are grav/ trollers with propel as the only attack... by the time you finish the mission it looks like a warzone on that beach. It's pretty cool.

And a full team of grav/storm trollers could take on anything

  20. I guess I should stop thinking of my window less as 'cluttered' and more as 'average'.

Congratulations! I see Punchin' Judy has also taken over top spot at CityInfoTracker.

You can drop one mission every three days. If you have, say, 6 missions left in the arc then you either have to hurry up and run through grey bosses, or wait over 2 weeks to drop them all. I do like the fact that I can have more than 3 story arcs open now and that has eliminated some aspects of the problem, but I think that with the advent of Ouroboros and SSK it should be possible to auto-exemp to the level of the mission if you have seriously outleveled it. Like it would if you did the arc through the Pillar.

But I'm not sure that I agree with the OP that we need something else to make toons even more uber at 50. We already have rare IO sets, hami-Os, temp powers, etc, etc. There is already a disconnect between the casual/hardcore players. Something like this would make the hardcore players even more overpowered compared to the casual, and it seems to me the devs put a lot of work into trying to keep it somewhat level so that everyone can have fun. I would like to see more post-50 content that gives something to work for, but I don't think this is it...

Interestingly enough, Walk is the only power you can use in Studio B.
  24. I snagged 'Cemetery Dust' on all of the US servers. I haven't gotten around to leveling all of them (and probably never will) but the idea was that he was a MetaHero, with the power to jump between shards. That was supposed to be pretty much his only power, so a lot of the toons are things like MA/SR, WP/SS and things with a more 'natural' feel.
