I think the color are off, i didn't have a reference handy...and was too lazy to look one up. You should still be able to figure it out. -
nice piece and nice upgrade
subtle but a worthwhile upgrade.

arbiter
mynx
lady grey
adamaster
hami
hellion
skull (KILL!!!)
maybe that helps -
PB is my char, Plutonium Bloom, that annoying plant/rad that's always vine-ing your baddies up. which PB are you talkin about?
-
pretty neat. I think you've given me an idea for my own character...we'll see if it ever works out :?
-
-
I think i watch too much CSI, the blood splatter on fen is from a knife. Fen, last i checked, was electrical in nature. just something that jumped out at me. Otherwise they look really cool. the fractal arc between alphas fists is also pretty cool.
-
nice work your screen shooting skills may need a little work, it appears that the tree behind her is sprouting out of her head. At first glance it looks like she's got a great mess of green hair...totally irrellevant nice artwork again :P
-
pretty sure PB sports recall. it is easy to get scattered during some missions (like the clickies in augustine IIRC) I think that some of the TF's will be a lot quicker than they were with some of the additions they've made in the last issue and particularly some of the vet rewards that have come out since the shard TF's inception.
to further planning...who wants to do one? we can figure out availability and similar later.
1) roxy
2) ironik
3) vex
4) Demon C.
5) Joph
I think then we can move this part of the thread to the virtue board and do the rest of the planning there. -
is it bad that i can identify 41 out of 100 kirbies...but didn't know kirby or kirby...
-
nice pieces.
I really like the hand aura on Therra Malevola. -
Quote:I like just about everything in here. It is very logical and helps to flush out a feeling for each zone. The first time I saw giza I was in awe, that's something that should happen right out of the ferry. It helps put you in the mind "if this is what is at the entrance then what happens if i travel deeper?"Some of these are more "zone" ideas than "building" but I am going to post them anyway.
General: Slow down the day night cycle. Having sun move at visible speed looks really weird (at least to me) and with the new shadows it is even more obvious.
General: Is it technically possible to have the skybox vary depending on where the player is within a single zone? If yes, use that to make areas more distinct/immersive. If no, get the tech guys to add this functionality, then use it.
Redside - general: Redside needs more contrasts. It has really well made slums and dystopias but it there is nothing to compare them to. You know, the nice parts of town where the rich, powerful and secretly villainous can afford to live.
Redside-zones:
Mercy: clean/brighten up Upper Mercy, the area within the walls. Arachnos cared enough to fortify it - it is not a slum and should not look like one. Ideally when a new character gets Big Time badge they should feel that they've climbed out of the gutter and into Bigtime.
Villa Montrose (Port Oakes) and Villa Requin (Sharkhead): these are the places where bosses/executives live and they should really look the part. Shiny, colorful, luxurious etc. Perhaps steal some art assets from New Overbrook - they arent used anywhere redside so it would be almost like new stuff. Also add/move at least one contact/more missions there so players have a reason to go and see the places.
Aeon City (Cap au Diable): make it live up to its name. Aoen City! The city of the future as designed by a genius and/or mad scientist! Steel and glass, forcefield fences, holo billboards, 20th floor loading docks (for flying cars), glowing bits and metal structures, walkways between buildings (covered and not covered), and so on. Perhaps steal some art assets from the new hightech place in Praetoria?
St. Martial: move the ferry to around the southwest corner of Jackpot. A resort town should at least try to look welcoming to visitors.
This is a primary reason to refinish the tutorial and entry level zones. Make people want to look deeper from the very beginning.
Quote:I'd like to see the return of the Tabitha Fabish Magic store signs in Talos Island and Independence Port.
They were changed to swinging "El Super Mexicano" signs when Physx was introduced, and then [incorrectly?] replaced with "Pandora's Box" signs. The employees inside are still referred to as "The Mystic", "The Seer", etc. and not "Pandora's Box employee", so I would think this was an oversight.
Someone mentioned the lack of stadium...Well there are a few stadiums actually, areanas to be more precise. They really ought to be more busy. More spectators coming and going and hot dog vendors, scalpers, even if it is only a NPC event. I would think that there would be a whole league of super powered folks "in it for the money" that would be happy to participate in the Super Powered Fighting Championhip. Adding in a few maps with visible seating and spectators beyond the limits of the map or roving spectator cameras would be very interesting. Or even a couple of suits grabbing a cup of joe talking about the last fight they went to or saw on TV. It'd be more immersive if they talked about unique players that had recently fought. Let your thoughts run wild on that one. I'm sure there are more places that you can take that sort of concept a unique structure and turning it into a hook. Maybe doc aeon opens the doors to civvies to try their luck at AE arcs using virtual powers.
...I think i'm over stepping the bounds of this thread and rambling. stopping now... -
he looks more bass ad than normal...normally he more...y'know cute and cuddly.

I'd like like to see them at 50, but i have a feeling that they feel a lot like rularuu.
speaking of. There was some talk about doing a "big" shadow shard TF. Something that might not finish in just one night. Anyway if we were to approach something of that magnitude we'd need to be more prepared than normal as far as team balance and availability etc etc. The minimum to start (and minimum spawn size) is 8 for those TF's.
I have two characters that can do the shard TF's PB and 'Shakes. PB is a plant/radiation controller who I have taken on most of these TF's. Shakes is my sonic/NRG blaster who i brought over from triumph. Neither have faced the shard so i can't give you an accounting of their strength. I think that damage will be easy to come by in forming this TF so i'll be working on improving PB and testing her against some shard critters soon (TM) PB can do some healing but is better suited to putting end into rad debuffs and holds.
Other things we will need...
Healer.
Tanker.
Damager.
Teleporter. (recall friend, or similar quick reuse teleport)

that last set was easy bubba. none of my characters are all that recognizable, to the forum at least not like burnt matchstick neko for caem's cadre. So i think that it's perhaps more difficult to breakdown the characters to something simply recognizable when the characters themselves are not recognizable. this makes sense. i think.
changing the perspective from the front shot like many of the examples to a profile or focus on a peculiar aspect (babs fist) of any character may help with recognition. I kinda wanna play around with this, but i also want to play around so maybe tomorrow at work, if i don't bring mids with me.

Here is a build that a friend came up with for me. Seems like there is a lot more enphasis on the things that i'm supposed to have.

like I said this is an old build that needs to be refreshed and I am asking for some help to do that. The slottings are...organic, what I felt I needed at the time I picked them with only minor changes since then. You could almost assume it's a pre-ED build but with IO's added afterward. I understand what you are saying about recharge, my problem is that when i get into mids I don't know how to get there. My knowledge of set bonuses is limited so its hard for me to determine if i need to go left or right and where i'm even coming from. I guess that makes me a casual player...well shoot.

Oh it's been awhile since I've posted here. I'm in the process of respecing my old regen. I'd appreciate some feedback on my updates. I'm sure there are more than a few errors I've made, I haven't been following this board for some time. My old build contained all the powers below except MOG and gamblers cut. I dropped stealth and revive to take in these two powers. What do you think?

So with all that said what's the standard slotting for MOG now? Particularly if i've got 3 slots in it?
-
the first arc is a vance <sumthin or other> which i also did last night and thoroughly confused my triumph SG (the dolls) by saying things like...
"I've lost myself"
"I think myself got eated"
"I got the jump on me that time"
And I got responses like...
"O_o"
"???"
"Roxy's really lost it this time"
ok no one said the last one but they were all thinking it!
Totally forgot to take a picture and wish I had. overall i was a little disappointed because i never used Golden Dragonfly on myself seems like EXing keeps powers 2-3 levels higher than I could use at that level, which makes for quite a disparity in power levels. Which might be a good thing as i gave myself a solid beating. I would kinda like to see a pair of blasters duke it out, i think they are the only AT that can oneshot themselves.
