  1. Happened again last night trying to load into a Lambda trial. Last week I completely removed and reinstalled the game, so now I'm at a loss as to what to do. As usual, sent in a bug report after it happened.

    My trialmates were kind enough to restart after I tried four times to get into the instance. On reform I had no problems getting in.
  2. Checked, no HD errors. Disk also doesn't need defragging.

    Got locked out again this evening on the 2nd mission of the new Mortimer Kal SF. Hadn't done this one before, so naturally disappointed.

    This time I restarted the computer, jumped in a mission on another server, then switched and tried to get into the mission on the original server, all while my team patiently waited for me.

    Tomorrow's plan is to completely uninstall the game and reinstall from scratch. This is depressing.
  3. I'll defrag and check the HD again and see if it makes a difference, but the only firewall I have is the generic windows one. I haven't ever gotten an error message when this happens; the game just hangs forever.
  4. So I've hit the last straw on this bug. A couple issues ago I started being occasionally locked out of missions. The game would hit the generic CoV/CoH/Praetorian loading screen and never go further. Eventually I'd have to kill the game manually; I got tired of waiting after 20mins of no progress. Loading back into the game and trying to get into the mission would just bring a repeat of the hang.

    It was always when teamed, didn't care how many people were on the team or my status as leader, and there seemed to be no pattern to it. It never cared how far into the gaming session I was; I've hit the problem 10mins into a pre-organized TF and hours into both light and heavy hitting activities.

    About half the time I was in a TF/SF, once even on the the last mission of said endeavour. The few times it happened when I was just on a casual team, I tested further. It wouldn't let me into any mission on that server, regardless of toon, but I could go to another server and get into a mission. Restarting game or PC didn't change the outcome.

    So it was frustrating; I'd miss a mission, be a little cheesed off, report the bug, and wait for my team to finish. I would only be hit by the bug once a session, and generally only once a month.

    On the bug reports I'd state time, endeavor, team size, leader status, activities, game session length, anything I thought would be relevant. But how on earth do you track this bug? 'Dear bug team, I was locked out again. Wasn't doing anything different from normal.'

    It's like once a month the game says 'You gotta sit this one out.' Today my sit out was on a BAF Trial, and I've had it. I'm hoping someone out there knows what's up or has had the same experiences as me. Because I can deal with occasionally missing a mission in a chain, but when the one mission is the whole endeavour, I'm done. Please help.
  5. I also bought my 3 day ticket when they became available; they were terribly inexpensive. I haven't figured the travel and staying arrangements, but last year I was locked out when I waited too long to pick up a ticket.

    Now I'm waiting for the Meet and Greet details, 'cause I'll be disappointed if there isn't one. ;]

  8. I was leading the raid, and we had the players who crashed on the first go switch teams; they were able to attack Woe and Gloom with no issue on the second go. Players on the 'new' Despair team crashed when they engaged the vulnerable obelisk. Also, players not on the Despair team crashed when they attacked the vulnerable obelisk.

    Between the team switches I had everyone restart their computer to see if there was some kind of issue due to a memory glitch or something.

    So as far as we could tell it was consistently Despair crashing players and in our instance Despair was the south west obelisk.

    We had two teams of 7 and one team of 8. Not everyone that attacked Despair crashed, but I wonder if that had to do with direct damage VS AoE splash damage.
  9. Chris Bruce, I wish you only the best for the future, and hope you left knowing you were adored by this community. Thank you for all the work, the beautiful animations, and putting up with our egregious demands. It was wonderful having you in this game.

    A great thanks to the others who left Paragon Studios recently, as well. You will be missed.
  10. I know I spoke with you last night, but I'm still shocked about this news, especially considering I saw her on Champion just the day before.

    Please pass along my condolences to her family; losing a parent is always difficult, moreso when it's before their time.

    Primal Forces Mastery/Energy Transfer - Reduced Self Damage from scale 2.75 to Scale 3.0

    Is it Reduced? Or is it 3.0?
  13. I am baffled by the upcoming change to the Cathedral trial.

    I've yet to be on an attempt that defeated the Storm/Psi AV Aspect, and yes, they have been balanced teams with skilled players. I applaud those that have, but clearly there are other issues with this Trial that are not being addressed. This change feels like a slap in the face.

    The rest of the patch looks to have many positive changes/fixes. I especially look forward to seeing more fixes like this:

    The Achievement badge for completing a Hero Morality Mission has been renamed "Gallant" from "Resolute" to correct a duplicate title with the Veteran badge "Resolute".

    So we don't have so many duplicate badge title conflicts.
  14. Actually... you could deduce the level from a post because it was stated at the front: On my 21 Brute on blue side. I actually leveled from 20 to 21...

    Anyway, I was also noticing a dearth of tip drops on a level 20 MM. I know the RNG is random but I was getting terribly frustrated. (Knowing -1 wouldn't help me) I bumped up the difficulty to x2, then x3 where I finally noticed a difference in frequency. At x3 I got at least 1 tip a mission. I did have to play much more carefully, having minimal slots with only DOs, but I was no longer going an hour or more without a tip drop.

    I figure at low level it's easier to fight more minions/lts than targeting bosses, plus in missions I can work for contacts or toward mayhem/safeguards rather than street sweep.
  15. I've noticed this on a few toons, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be the very last 4 or 5 zones you visit that will always reset to black/grey. (For example, every villain zone below St. Martial for my Defender.) Reports are going to be a little different for everyone. (So it's not specifically Nerva or Grandville or Peregrin that's the issue.)

    And I send a /bug about it pretty much every day, heh.
  16. If you open your SG window and hit the Settings button, you should be able to hit a button that lets you choose if (and what) colors you use in SG mode as well as SG symbol or no. None of my toons run with SG colors these days, yet I am rarely out of SG mode.

    Are you in SG mode? This can cause chest detail pieces to not be displayed in favor of a SG emblem.
  18. As mentioned in other threads, some badges are faction-specific and though you can acquire 100% progress on them, they will not be awarded until you do a full conversion to the other side.

  19. I had the same problem last night with my Rogue Mastermind. I did use the Vanguard portal to get from Founders to PI and back. I'll be more careful about this until I fully switch alignments.

    Flying into the final mission and being slaughtered by my team was no fun. I couldn't be rezzed because of my 'enemy' status, but my team could get Vengeance off me.

    For the key-bind issue, did you include in the bind a costume change emote? If you're in battle-stance (this includes some toggles) or (often) moving, the emote won't play, but your toon will be stuck in place for a short time before the costume actually changes. I also think some of the costume change emotes executable names were recently changed, so if you're using one of those, I can see how it may cause a problem. (I am not positive about this, though.)

    And finally, I have to ask a really out-there question; is your 2nd costume made with VEAT parts as well? Because as far as I know, we only get the official Arachnos parts on the first slot (0), so if you've managed to get them on the second slot (1) as well, I can see how it would cause problems.

    Tourist is the slang term for Rogues and Vigilantes, as they are visitors to the 'other side' of the game.
  22. That sounds like Tethering at work. It's likely that the mob you've engaged has been wandering around for a while, and has gotten far enough away from it's spawn point that shortly after you engage they hit their tether limit (I believe it's 210ft). It causes the result you've described.
  23. Yes, this warning and the 'large auction house fee' warning never stick for me. No matter that I've enabled to hide them, I get asked every time any way. Keep /bugging it.
