  1. have you joined lb yet? if you get on lb and are polite(or at least funny) you should find some fairly active teaming.

  3. none yet at all, but then again, usually they dont show them prior to their appearance in the test server..not counting the occasional goof. the only shots we have are the bird head and feet, and the rather zoomed out cheetah, and technically they haven't been confirmed as available for players, technically we dont even know that it is an animal pack, its just a series of pics that seem to strongly lead to that conclusion.

oh and schism, could we dial back the personal shots there? its fine to disagree with someone's opinions, but the name calling was just low class.
  4. how about a compromise, both sides must agree to a hug to be able to hug, like a fortune reading, otherwise the animation fizzles. works for rpers avoids annoyance (mostly risk of spammers, but put a cooldown timer one it maybe)
  5. ok ki, first, awesome art, i liked. anyhow, yeah the incarnate arc is pretty darn good, i'm glad they made it have a story so that it feels like you really made a progression, and i loved the first mish with you pretty much smooshing every big bad in the entire game solo. when i was testing it with my dom, i initially thought it was a bug and it was some kind of stealth mission. nothing like watching a nameless venus fly trap drop ghost widow. wile im launching the entirety of the rest of recluses bunch with a single eviscerate.

as for the rest, trappy can either be really hard or really easy, sorry to hear that he was hard, but glad you soldiered on and got it. rather liked the end mission. its the only way you get to stomp a minotaur if you dont do the itf, so for hardcore soloitst it was nice, and the little cinematic was nice too, i like how they are hinting at the well being way more than just a greek mythology connection.makes you wonder..if the well can posess people, while they are weakened, maybe there is more to tyrant and praetorian hamidon that we have suspected yet, dont it?

so, assuming you did it on your main, what boost are you going with? i did spiritual on my dom and emp/lit defender, and cardiac on my ma/sr namesake.

oh, and i agree with bad influence that dragon head would be great. I would also prefer a chinese dragon head as well, with the backward swept antlers, long facial whiskers, and the small beard. maybe a dragon booster(no, not the canime)? lot of in-game dragons, bet they would like some variety.

  8. first tagline to hit me was

    Rubber: you need protection.
  9. Depends on the character, but i do personally have a preference for the offense based, so orange numbers do well for me.

That seems less like Bad Horse's Terrible Death Whinny(tm) and more akin to Samurai Sheep's Battle Bleat(tm).

Still, it isn't EXACTLY like that battle bleat.... its a good replication.... not just some cheap knockoff decoy. That had to have been done by one heckuva major decoy.

Edit: Guess it could have been Ronin Ram's Bushido Bleat.... they're tough to tell apart, and neither's backing down from their trademark lawsuit.
ok, so i'm taking chase for a drug test later this week.

anyhow. my main hope is for arm, head side and (if theya re really cool) some sort of "hair" like set of fins for characters. beyond that, if i recall the thread made right after the mutant pack seemsed to show a lot of preference for a new feline head with various fur variations and a possible mane. also bull and bear parts were strongly suggested, as well as a few votes for gorilla costume stuff. now given precedent we get between 2-3 full sets per super booster, so im expecting bird, since we already saw its head and feet, feline, and one wildcard either bull, bear or gorilla. of those, gorilla is a common comic book thing, bull we kind of have in minotaurs, so it might be less work, and bears fit just for popularity, thematic mix witha native american hero, and the side colbert nod. now if they are going for non-full costume pieces, then im really hoping that the fins make it in, they have been LONG requested.

as an aside, usually boosters contian some long awaited "gimmick" thing that we have wanted for a while. the two that come to mind, though i am not guessing either would be a run molded after the tier 2 demons for monster characters or fingertip claws. both of those seem to have possible reasons for technical infeasibility, but who knows at this point?

i am concerned that someone mentioned seeing cheetahs. i am worried that if they include them, they wont make any money..
  12. those stories are not uncommon, ever heard of hachiko? a japanese akita that used to go to shibuya's train station for 9 years after his master's death. they put up a statue to him and its a popular tourist attraction. pops up in a few video games as well.

interesting thing is his owner only owned him for a year, but he kept coming for the rest of his life(he lived to 11)
  13. see i have to agree with daemo that one handicap that people keep forgetting is that arachnos is plagued with infighting. contrary to what crap writers would tell you, that makes an army really really weak. that kind of undercuts their effectiveness versus the more organized longbow, vanguard and idf.
  14. well, you had me at bat-@#$% insane, will check it if it gets brought over.
  15. I misread for a second and thought ww called us perverts.
  16. well gg, i know something for you to be thankful for in coh. it is so alt friendly
  17. in relation to this digression, i just have one thing to say. "this statement is a lie"

    good night.

Now, it's about being superpowered, but still in the hero or villain sense. And for some it's about keeping within that theme of the game, and not going so far out of it.

You played PnP D&D, you can play that without really RPing and just use it as a dungeon crawl, hack and slash. So the question is, when you played it in it's many varied fantasy settings, then you all of a sudden pull out the "Well, I want to play a VtM vampire in this D&D setting"?

Or, I want to pull out my giant 60ft Robotech Mecha for this D&D game?
No, but i do want to pull out my oriental adventures hengyaokai unarmed kensai. given that they exist in compatable worlds and rulesets, your decision to exclude my character is an act of exclusion based on a narrow view of the game world, much like narrowing your view of superheroes to the 4-color golden age superheroes makes the game diminished by its specificity. Now am i saying that dm who dont allow eastern characters are bad? nah, but if i have the option of gaming with a dm that allows characters from compatible settings or one that doesnt, them its not a question which one gets my patronage. same with mmos, there is a superhero mmo on the market now that is oppressively 4 color, it is the only one i dont play.

    Epic ATs

agreed on the rikti eat concept, could add some unique costume elements and powers. for tec's mentalist path, perhaps a magus/priest split? as powers go, they both are fairly similar, but i'm sure the devs could organize something with the powers. priests seem more an enhanced mentalist, whereas the magus is more of a ranged damage character. both would be control fiends, so balance would need to be applied, but i could see it, and would play it. maybe even integrate some of our power armor ideas into the militant branch, make gunmen really nasty with cluster missiles

Not even sure the chord progression is right. I know there's a video and I'm pretty sure it's of fairly recent vintage. I have this vague impression of it being about rebellious elderly folks possibly driving around in the desert... and in my head it sounds kinda like The Wallflowers, but with a little more punch.

Someday I'll hear it again. In the meantime I've scoured various Top 100 lists ranging from 2008-2010 and so far have found nothing.
hmm, is it recent, the last song i recall on that topic was "the way" by fastball. it is an older one but does have the wallflowers vibe right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0wfu3tOrtQ
  21. one thing this thread has proven is that there should be a city of manga mmo... i'd be totally down with that.

you know, i'm with you on that, its kind of a quirk of the system, but it shows some cracks with the storyline. it also happens with the cabal in coh proper but its a situation i think arises from game mechanics. mob spawns are in a certain size of enemies, these spawns count both factions as hostile to you, my idea would be for your ranks or specific badges to suppress hostility from one of the groups while perhaps making the spawns competitively large so that they could be challenges to both sides. its kind of jsutified in that the ppd hates the powerd division and a lot of res members are crusaders and pretty much violent anarchists (and later that the cabal just haven't gotten the email that you just helped them so please quit shooting at you) but i agree, i hope that this eventually get some sort of look at, just for immersion sake.
  23. the specifics would make an unweildy list, but for the big punch, i'm grateful that there is a game where i can play a winged blue dragon that uses martial arts. that is just a weird collision of personal quirks that works for me, the costume creator is my addiction, 6 years in and i'm still burning tokens looking for just the right collection of shape texture and color shade. i still open it and get the "my god, its full of stars" reaction.

i did bug for guitars to be used as war maces based entirely in haruko, the jacket would be an issue as well, nothign quite fits her jacket. i dunno if the review entirely gets it, flcl does actually mean something, just nothing that happens directly onscreen, its all about gibberish that makes sense.
