ok just for clarity, the guy wants the us and eu servers both to be selectable for eu players because he finds the population too low, right? that's what i think i'm getting. doesnt seem unreasonable to me, thought i have no idea if there are major technical/legal problems with this.
  2. looks at thread...how the heck do you guys play with those cluttered screens?

    Single alt lover

hehe, well, i have heard of a few single character people, but i am not one of them, i understand that soemtimes you can heavily identify with your character, and that soemtimes causes it, but as a guy with over 60 characters, i can only be impressed with your resolve

i will say one thing that you may want to try, since you have had one character over 14 since i2, have you gotten to try out faultline, croatoa, and striga? i know one issue i had with my main, rian, is that he had out leveled all that content before it came out, and until oroboros hit, there was no way to do it with him. now with yoru wife, you may have exemplared it, but that is one thing that got me with my main. plus, good lord man, have you tried city of villains yet? you have it, they gave it away free if nothing else, remake your main there at least and give it a go. There are fun things there that you wont have had with a i2 character(and thus, a hero, since reds werent available in i2)

Obviously, not all on the same costume, that would be silly. Unless my name was Rian Frostdrake
if it were, you would have added more FANCY, we aren't going to a funeral here, spice it up It aint an ensemble unless its visable from orbit. That is the only way to be sure.

well, kicking hard things hurts too, but my ma scrapper still was able to take down a kronos titan, we allow some license with the superhero genre.

oh and i did have to break a board with a spear hand strike(basically my fingertips) strike for green-belt testing, but id rather not try that ons teel.

We know we'll have the "going rogue" content that is specific for changing sides. I expect this to be about an arc long, one arc for each side, basically somewhat similar to the Midnighter arc. You complete the arc and it gives you a Rogue badge that enables access to both red and blue side.

After that, I guess we'll have some cooperative zone Praetorian stuff. I foresee content along the lines of the Faultline / RWZ, with Fusionette and Jim Temblor being replaced by the two new rogues, and the Praetorian factions replacing the Rikti. There should be at least one new zone for all the action, but I'm thinking the zones may be closer to Cimerora or Ouroboros in size as opposed to IP or Nerva.

So ... just change a few paragraphs of text, pop in the new NPCs, place a few sewer doors and office doors on a new zone map, and voila!

There will also be the two new power sets, plus some new rogue/Praetorian costume items.
given that gr is a paid boxed expansion, i would find this highly unlikely.

you can still beat them, they are just stronger than the standard doormats that most of the content is to scrappers and brutes, its like when captain hammer actually got hurt in dr horrible and runs away crying. if you never had to be careful before they can really mess you up, but you can do the content with a melee character.

  12. well, its not always right away after a pre-dl, its still contingent on how many big bugs hit, but lets just say i have a rainbow of pug-punishing chromatic chaos waiting in the wings for the colors.

'dats about where i see it too. freaks give to much reward, just reduce the reward. they still give reasonable rewards.

or regen really is a particularly tricky thing to get nailed down into a safe zone between completely overpowered and completely useless. erring on either side will require attention, but that attention will rarely be viewed as positive.

But in all seriousness, just look at their names. They're called "Red Caps" because they dye their (hilarious looking) hats in the blood of their fallen foes.

So yeah, they're evil. The weird, twisted form of evil.

And I desperately want their daggers.
to be fair though, if they dont keep their hats red, they die, so his question, can your actions be considered evil if you don't have a choice, is a valid philosophical one, but all the text i have read them say ingame indicates that not only do they do horrible things, they really enjoy it, so its hard to think of them choosing otherwise. Its not like angel or spike living on blood from butcher shops to keep from hurting people, they seem to love being murderous little psychos.

and the devs cannot seem to do a thing without oppressing you, all these unintended crucifixions must be decimating their wood supply. They had let us know that the ability to have wings with the bolero was a bug, as adults this presented us with a choice, accept that they made a mistake and move on, or cling to the costume piece and never change the costume. Nothing cheating or hacking about it, but just a reasonable mistake that was removed.

It would be nice, but generally lifers are offered at the start or before a major investment to geta big cash infusion right away. It is a gamble because if people stay the standard time (3 months by some estimates) then they made out well, but if they are like myself and quite a lot of cohers, and have over 60 months, then we become unprofitable. So its a gamble. they gamble that a percentage will quit, a percentage will stay and be a loss, but will be loyal and good pr, and a portion will pay the standard rate and take it in the shorts. and its a percentage on the gamer's part that the game will stay up and not make a massive horrible decision(swg comes to mind) to kill the game for you. If they did it now here, I would pull the trigger in a second.

My most infamous MMO character outside CoX was female, origionally due to the bonuses given for that class/gender combination (Phantasy Star Online, FOnewearl for those familiar). She was later reincarnated in many other games due to how well-known she had become within my circle of friends, though I've yet to add her to my CoX list.

And for the record, I am male, 24 years old.
ah yes, to be fair, the only male newman/neuman(elf like race ) looked quite literally like a clown in pimp shoes, so yeah if you were a magic themed player, female tended to be the default gender.(note to non pso players, you didnt create characters so much as modify from one of the existing 9 template characters, there were 3 forces, who were basicly wizards, a human female, a male newman, and a female newman, newmen had more magic points and a higher stat that influenced magic damage, so were preferable, though wimpy in the health department)

here, i will grant that, but if he wants a big write up in the gameing news sites, perhaps announcing the same week as the 900 lb gorilla's big announce and the nearest competitors open beta would lead to some drowning out.

what he DID do is telegraph that there is big news, and it seems like it is on deck waiting for an auspicious time. my magic ball of pure unsupported guesses says maybe it will fall next week, but announcing now would, by the thinking contained in the tweet, be a poor decision to be heard distinctly by the general gaming populace.

I always prefer to play females in any game. I just like girls, they look better, dress better, and are to my mind far too under-represented, especially in get-hands-dirty type roles, so I make more than my share. I think of all the action and horror movies where the girl acts as victim, and in my mind most games are essentially an action or horror movie in which I can take part, so I make females that actually do what I've yelled (or at least thought) at too many TV and movie screens: "STAB THE SON OF A *****! [Or who/whatever.] Punch his throat, face, ear, eye, stomp his instep, just ******* DO something!" (Yeah, I play mostly blue-side, I admit it.)
fellow buffy fan then, right ?

oh and doing a census. male surprisingly was more than females, though the females tended to be higher leveled. male:31 female:25 i have included the huge with the males because the characters are supposed to be male.

also a one should note that most of the males were monsters(about 25) whereas most of the females were either human or humanlike beings. and i have way too many powersuits of both genders, good job guys on the nice tech bits, they have been appreciated.
