Alternate Claw Animations?
Bare-hands claws has been suggested numerous times, and while the tech required to pull it off exists (swapping animations, turning off power effects), open handed claws attacks would probably end up looking silly. The models for hands don't have individual fingers, so instead of raking a target with individual claws it'd look more like slapping a target with an oven-mitt.

I've bugged BAB about this myself for a long time. I know it could be done, but it probably would take a lot of work. Some of us would even be ok with something silly large that completely hid the hand so that it wouldn't matter if it was open or closed inside of the larger item.

Ya, if they ever managed to get around to it, I would say it look like, when you draw your claws that an effect would turn the character's hands invisible and replace it with another chosen hand model with the claws. You'd have to block certain glove options if you wanted hand claws (no Enforcer).
Right now, we have mitt-hands which wouldn't be a good decision to just glue claws on. So something similar to the Monstrous hands that just had additional long claws (and perhaps something like the Dwarf form hands) could be options as well as maybe 'cat claws' that have hands with claws that are retractable from the finger tips.
Really, there are so many options that could be done (Carnage 'hand-axes', arm spike, etc.) that they probably won't run out of things to add but I believe the difficulty is the animations wouldn't translate right from claws attached to the back of the hands to claws on the end of the fingers. Really, I'd love to hear more from BAB about it if he has any time.

oh and i did have to break a board with a spear hand strike(basically my fingertips) strike for green-belt testing, but id rather not try that ons teel.

Yeah that does sound like a whole lot of trouble to go through, but I think they owe it to the set with it not getting any alternate animations for I16! Plus, didn't they nerf the damage/recharge of the set, or something like that, an issue or 2 back? I don't have any real problems playing my Claws/WP Scrapper, but I'm a little more Tankery on him anyway.
Which brings me swiftly on to this.

Today I copied my Dark scrapper to the test server, and respecced in Flurry.

I was thinking maybe have animations for just bare hands with claws, as in animal claws, rather than all of them have the claws as sort of attached to the fist (like a certain famous hero we all know lol.) Maybe at least have a "No Claws" option with monstrous hands. Am I the only one with lots of clawed animal concept characters? lol
The green smiley with the huge grin is me saying "Pleeeeaaaaassseee!!" to the Devs. lol
