Quote:Sounds like the vid card. I'd say if you have a spare lying around try using it and see if it works. That was the first thing I did. Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem.
You may also want to check and see if the fans on the vid card are spinning, it MAY just be the fans went bad. I don't know what card you have, but occasionally that can cause an issue.
However I will say if the fans haven't been running right the card is probably darn near fried anyways. -
Quote:I don't personally recommend Ouroportal myself. Their article restrictions are far more stringent then VirtueVerse. Also judging by their guidelines they don't really understand what T for Teen means. But if they're going for that rating, well a good portion of my characters and stories wouldn't fit.Can shoot a PM to admin at http://www.virtueverse.com/forum/, or e-mail at virtueverse@gmail.com.
The parallel beta-site idea sounds about exactly like what the plan was, don't know what complications may have arisen in getting it set up. The current wiki isn't going anywhere. Always a good idea to back up your wikis as .txt files though, only takes a second (and there's also Ouroportal out there).
T for Teen means minimal violence, minimal blood, crude humor but -infrequent- use of foul language. -

Quote:Sonic Vision Goggles?Bought and tested the Martial Arts pack last night and I am very impressed! The sonic vision goggles are too cool for words and Ninja Run has really made traveling through the alleyways and rooftops of the Rogue Isles a breeze!

Wat?
These aren't mentioned on the wiki or the information provided here about the booster.
Pics or it didn't happen -
Quote:Far as I know still around though Cyphre isn't running the group anymore someone else too over:Hey all. My brother used to be part of an SG called Cerulean Legion years ago, and said they were great folks. He doesn't really play much anymore, but I was wondering if anyone knew what ever happened to them or how I could get in contact with them?

Quote:Or something we didn't already have a ton of items for already in game. Ninjas, Martial Artists and Samurai characters already have the bases well covered. I would have preferred to see some Knives type items, or Malta style uniforms, more military styled outfits or items. I'm just overly meh on the whole thing and this is probably the only I was most looking forward to since I play mostly natural characters.Someone else already mentioned quivers, scabbards, etc. I'd also like to see more pirate (specifically swashbuckler), knight, D&D class-type stuff (ranger, thief, etc). I know we can already get close with what we have, but we also had a lot of ninja-y stuff already too. It's not like there's a shortage, we just want more. ;]
So meh, ninjas. I'm not sure the run power is worth 10 bucks to me so this might be the first booster I'll skip. -

Everything they've said is wrong.
There is only a single reason people take bots.
For the pew pew pew
If they insist otherwise, they LIE.
Well ok not wrong but pew pew overrides almost everything else awesome about robots. -
Quote:Killer Croc: There I was, holed up in this quarry and Batman came nosing around. He was coming closer... closer....Judging from the thread title, I thought this was going to be a discussion about what to do when you get a Rock when trick-or-treating. Oh Well.
I will check the Wiki.
Poison Ivy: And...?
Killer Croc: ..AND THEN I THREW A ROCK AT HIM!
-Silence-
Killer Croc: It was a big rock...
Yes I've seen this conversation actually happen in the Abyss during a Hamidon Raid at the end of the final bloom.
Brute: This one time I had Hamidon cornered in a rock quarry.
Random Person: What happened?
Brute: *uses temp rock power and throws the rock at Hamidon* I THREW A ROCK AT HIM!
Random Person: Dude did you really just use the halloween temp rock on Hamidon?
Brute: It was a big rock... -
Quote:>_> sending a noob to Pocket D... you horrible horrible man.Welcome to Virtue.
Swing by the zone "Pocket D" (accesible via King's Row (just downhill from the trainer) and a few other zones) to hang out with other heroes (and villians) during thier "Off-duty" hours in a non-combat area.
There are plenty of RP SGs it really depends on what you're looking for, check out the SG Directory for Heroes.
You can also check out VirtueVerse, though not all of the SGs there are still active.
You'll also find people will use (( )) around text to denote when they're speaking OOC. A lot of times on teams its easy to get pick up RP just by starting with other people who are rpers. -
Depends on your server really and the time of day. I'm on virtue myself and its almost always packed.
That said if I hit up Victory (which I do periodically) its not nearly as packed but hardly dead i can still get teams. -
Quote:I love the sound of the war walls dropping when the Rikti Invade, or the dum dum dum music when the zombie invasion starts.I like the fact that all the lights go out when the event starts, too. The arena looks particularly odd when not lit up. I do like the little details like this that are thrown in.
I was said to not notice any particularly cool sound for the apocalypse event.
Thats not to say however that I don't love it. ^_^ -
Quote:Well the Arcane Division for Scorpio deals with all sorts of things from ancient deities, to smaller paranormal events, to spirits, the undead, etc. The event we're running right now involves Baron Samedi. Mostly they're a variety of people with experience in the occult.Well the character I am going for is a paranormal investigaor (not really ghosts, maybe something LIKE ghosts) he wears the typical black trenchcoat, sunglasses, etc
He actually does have a power, he has been chosen by Sir Lancelots sword and shield, He was chosen because of his potential as a hero.
Some of them are normal people, like Danger St. Clair who is an adventure of sorts (think Indiana Jones). Some have powers like Nick Myrddin. Others are entities in and of themselves like Brou who I believe is a construct created by a girl in Croatoa, or Callista who is the avatar of an ancient god.
Its a fun part of the group, I'll admit Spec-Ops and my rifle toting military chick are fun, but I really enjoy making story lines for the paranormal stuff. -

Quote:Actually there was a particular post I was replying to that was specifically complaining that the event didn't go live with the patch. It's not my place to speak for anyone else who's posted here, but I certainly don't perceive these posts as "whining" - there have been legitimate questions and valid opinions regarding unarguably careless implementation.
It's offensive for you to bleat about "children" "whining" when loyal, paying customers are merely pointing out that they'd prefer the vendor to take a little care and pay a little more attention in circumstances like these.
My point wasn't that oh noes people whine, my point was merely that no matter what the devs do someone is going to be miffed. If they launch it early people complain it was early. If they launch on time people complain it was ontime or at an inconvenient time.
There will always be a certain level of whine, and really unless its something the devs can actually fix (unfortunately expectations isn't something they can fix) its just fluff.
Differing opinions though. "The devs screwed up again" is not helpful, "It would have been a good idea for the devs to have placed the date in the GMOTD." however is helpful.
The smiley faces in my post however were suppose to convey the light hearted nature of my tone. -

Actually I also think you can't remove operator status from someone any way other then the slash command. -
Quote:Once you've done this, if its a temp power it'll show up under your powers tab in the right hand listing for inherent powers (May need to scroll down). It doesn't automatically add the power to your tray.in your badge list there is a section for VETERAN
If a Veteran badge has a reward associated with it, the badge will have a button labeled CLAIM REWARD -
Quote:Well don't forget, some critters have modifiers that adjust how much XP they grant. Rewards also change based on team size, and the weight of the players level compared to the team (though with the changes with SSK this has probably changed).Maybe working as intended maybe not .. but your xp isnt awarded as black and white as some here have said, there still must be a lvl curve making adjustments.
For example the other day myself and a few people were repeating a mission to help get a coiple low people theyre travel powers a little faster.
It was fun and the new system made it easier for us all to play and have some fun, however one of us noticed his xp significantly lower.
I was lvl 50, he was lvl 32 and the others under lvl 14.
later the lowbies left and it was just myself and him the lvl 32ish and we ran it again to check and his xp jumped up alot without the lowbies.
Something of the old formula for calcualting xp still exist. Its not as simple as you earn what your lvl normally earns. You earn what your level and team average xp earns as it was pre auto sk.
Dont know the formular lol but either my friends on drugs or its not quite as simple as its supposed to be.
The Wiki has a good entry on XP. But I don't think the specific numbers there are correct. -
Quote:Yes, just make sure you turn your difficulty down and you'll be fine. Generally on the lowest diff you'll get two maybe three minions per door.I wasn't around for past holiday events, and I won't get to log on to the game for about 8 more hours (my boss wouldn't appreciate it if if I was playing here at work).
I just read on ParagonWiki that the Halloween Salvage will drop from the "Trick" spawns this year, rather than as Treats. My question is, is it likely that a solo player will be able to handle those Trick critters? In other words, will the spawns be too many or too high level for a single (reasonably competent, I hope) level 20-30 solo newbie blaster or scrapper(aka Me) to defeat?
Thanks, in advance,
Cheesy
Though honestly the best method is to do these as groups, find a good area of doors and have at. The doors spawn spirits, fir bolg, werewolves, vampires and witches. They'll all based on existing baddies in the game. -

Quote:The announcement say 8:59 AM PST so it started a couple hours early. I don't see that as lose or how it invalids my point that people always complain. Irregardless.Sorry - you lose. There is no specified start time in game.
The event seems to have kicked off around 10:30 AM EST. Off to have some fun.... -
Quote:Anyone who pays that much for a common is ultra impatient.Shh.... or they'll stop paying 750+k for the memorized common IO's that cost me 275k (probably less) to craft.
Bids and waiting a day ftw. Even i'm not -that- impatient. I'm just lazy, and full of anger. -
