Works for me >_>
Obviously your insane...
Or something was still being fixed >_< -
Reposting this for you guys from the Virtue Thread:
Probably a good time to note, its a good idea to back up your data on the wiki.
http://www.virtueverse.com/index.php/Special:Export
Go to that page then enter the exact title of you page, it'll export the whole page in a XML wrapper, then if you ever have to restore it its easily done. Obviously have to do images separately. But I always backup my wiki stuff, though mostly because its easier to work on offline where I don't have to worry about losing a massive edit to a browser snafu. -
Guess they finally revived the poor server hamster.

Yeah we verified it was a misnomer. Apparently some zones just have fall colored foliage while others don't. I'd just never noticed it before the other day >_<

Father Xmas has a few good builds in his signature.
For anything else I'd mosey over to the technical thread area.
Good luck! -
As long as the card supports dual monitors you should be fine.
Man I feel like I'm advertising for EVGA lately... I'm really not but I've been quite satisfied with my current video card, its the EVGA GeForce 260 GTX with 216 Cores. Its actually sold at a fairly nice price on a certain computer store related with eggs.
But as long as the card says it supports it you should be good to go. Might also be helpful to do a google search on the card name and dual monitors just to see what sort of experience others have had.
Good luck. -
Quote:Well...No, the GTX 260 isn't huge at 10.5" in length.
The HD 5970 is HUGE, topping out at 12.1" in length and that's still isn't the max length for the ATX standard.
It's just that most case manufacturers acknowledge the fact that cards of such length are rare. In the case (no pun intended) of long, very high end videocards the assumption is that if you can afford that, you can afford a large gamer case to install it in.
Considering the computer I upgraded from had a 5700 GT in it... that 260 GTX was massive. >_<
Its all about perspective.
But I always tell people about the size when I recommend it because sometimes it not even just the case as an issue. Sometimes there are things on the mobo that make the size a issue. -
Quote:You would need to be able to prove it. If they are doing something underhanded however Google would love to know. Can we report that to Google and get them google-smacked for manipulating their ranking?
Report spam to Google
Just make sure they are actually doing something nefarious and not something that is lame but still ok. Google loves catching sites using shady practices to up their rating. Hiding things in the code only a spider can see, using a bot to modify a page constantly so it appears up to date.
Honestly though I doubt Wikia is doing anything but being Wikia and huge. -
Also the backspace key is your response key. It will send a reply tell to the last person who sent you a tell.

Don't have time for a very long winded post, I will say though I've been using a EVGA 216 Core GeForce 260 GTX now for about a year and it runs nice. It gets a bit warm, but the performance on just one is nice, I haven't found a game yet on my current system I can't play at max that doesn't look great. I've actually put one of these into three separate systems over the past year building for friends and not a problem with a one.
It does require quite a bit of power though (though so does my mobo tbh) and its huge (width of my mobo easy maybe bigger its a ATX size mobo 12.00" by 9.60"). So really make sure you can fit it in your case.
But I know a certain website related to eggs has a decent price on them currently. -
Nah its quite alright, my post was more geared towards a few other responses here asking about custom builds then really to the OP. You seem to have a good idea already with what you're building, though I am always curious what components other people choose. I don't get into custom modded cases, I'm entirely too OCD for it.
Regardless, good luck, I'm off to wander back to lurking elsewhere. -
Quote:Yeah I just did some screenshot comparisons, seems they don't change, I just never noticed in some zones they aren't green before. Well obviously besides Croatoa its always Halloween there. This comes up every fall for some reason.
The trees* are exactly as they have been since the game launched in April 2004. No seasons then, no seasons now.
* okay, now you can make leaves and branches shake off the trees depending on your powers.
It did look really cool in Peregrine with the colored leaves falling. -
Didn't see prices being disallowed in the Guidelines for the forums, but I'll take my gearhead post out of the thread.
Nothing to see here. -
I'd been idling outside a mission in Peregrine waiting for someone when I noticed the pile of red leaves under one tree and yellow leaves under the other. Unfortunately no one on VU2009 at the time knew if it was something new or not.
-
Ok so really I noticed this last week but I've been to busy to post and unfortunately I'm not even home to take a picture to post, so call this imagination time.
Basically is it just me but are the trees changing colors in game? Is this new? I've never even noticed this before. Sure I noticed the falling leaves effect before, but I was shocked when I realized it seems the trees in almost every zone are fall colors now rather then green. (Well obviously not perez, curse you tree canopy! And I didn't look villain side.)
So, a stealth change? Or am I insane and this has always done this?
(Yes I'm probably insane regardless but humor me anyways)

Categorically NO.
Not until we get another co-op zone that allows lowbies in. And don't just tell me AE in pocket D.
I enjoy putting together teams for my SG and an associated VG and being able to go to the RWZ to run missions regardless of anyones level. We're not power leveling people, we're running story content, and I enjoy being able to do that from low levels to high on either side.
I'm sorry my team of 8 is ruining your head count for a Rikti raid, but you know what? My team of 8 has been doing that since the RWZ co-op was added.
So sorry, I don't agree with limiting down a whole zone again just because you can't get raid leaders who have the sense of self preservation to put together teams that don't have lowbies. If the zone is full and people are being stupid? Move to the RWZ 2.
Personally I'd rather see the raid move to its own instance (IE split the zone like Eden and the Hive. And make the mothership section of the zone a level 40+ hazard area. -
Quote:Man a search on current team leaders and the number of team member and what they're doing (mish/tf/etc) would be more awesome then words. An update to the team search window to indicate team leaders and show teams looking for more would be a big help.
But to the OP, the guy overreacted. Especially to a politely worded request, if I'm running a open team I'll gladly take people if there is room or let the team leader know someone was asking. OR I refer them to a global channel like VU2009. -
Still using AE to make custom arcs and content for my SG, sometimes with custom baddies, sometimes not. Still see plenty of people using it and plenty of new content.
Really my only beef is having to sift through all the old farm missions to find real content. -
There are also new events, zombie apocalypse, the deadly apocalypse. Each can be spawned by player events at times other then halloween. So make sure you have the event channels enabled.
The 5th Column has also officially returned to the streets, so you can find them fighting the Council in places. Barracuda Strike Force and the Dr. Kahn Task Force address this change along with Reichsman himself as the central bad guy in both.
There is also a change coming this year to the Winter Event but I'm honestly unsure myself. -
I feel this needs a reference to checking to see whether debt has been maxed.

Quote:I actually had to log into my Kat/Regen just to see if there was a redraw on heal. Which says something because its one of my favorite toons to play. There is a redraw but I don't think I ever noticed it.If you're comparing sets, also be careful to not compare a WP tank to a Regen Scrapper, for instance. The numbers are going to be significantly different there.
My MA/Regen is a LOT of fun, and very active to play. I also don't have to redraw whenever I heal (I always wonder about the Katana and BS Scrappers that are Regen... it would drive me nuts, personally). He does very well on teams (though you do have to be careful of alphas, Dull Pain and MoG help a lot there), and extremely well solo. I've been working him solo through the Praetorian arcs, and he hasn't met one of those EBs that really challenged him (I did use a pet temp power to help with Marauder, but that was more from being impatient... he kept using his tier 9, dragging out the inevitable end of the fight). I don't know how he'd do solo against AVs, but that's not really my metric for playing. I'd find it right boring, too.
Anyway, I grabbed Tough and Weave on him, and got my defenses to about the 20% mark (25% for melee, or so), as well as getting a good amount of +health, +regen, and +recharge from IOs. This has worked pretty well for me. Before IOs, he was quite solid as well... I only had issues with spike damage in Croatoa (darn Tuatha), but that was solved by grabbing Tough. No problems since then.
But yeah even without Tough/Weave my kat/regen tears through just about anything without much issue. But its just enough of a challenge to keep it fun, which is probably why I never finished slotting even her common ios. >_> -
Quote:And everyone in my SG seems to have caught the Dragon Age/Call of Duty bug thats going around.Random nitpick even though this has been discussed to death. This is a busy time of year for students and family time, so I really would expect things to be a bit slower. Considering my classes were half full today, many people are traveling to grandma's house and aren't itching to find wi-fi to play a bit of CoX. Most people aren't going to pull a Zaboo and find wi-fi at a close relatives funeral, for instance.
Sorry, just had to point that out. I would agree that CoH is a little slower in the past month or so (compared to this summer, which was very busy... we had doom threads like this then, too... which goes to show why people hate doom threads), but nothing too bad. I find and form teams quite quickly, and see people doing so at many hours of the day. I play on Victory, which isn't one of the high pop servers, too.
Still... no issues getting teams on Virtue but its high pop server to begin with. -

Won't post on set details, everyone else has done that.
I personally find playing Willpower toons to be snore worthy. I like regen because its an action set, I have to interact to be good at it. To me it makes it more fun to play which is more important then numbers.
My Regen toon is as good or bad as I am as a player. A WP toon tends to be good regardless.
I like a challenge, and I like interaction.
