I just got this graphics card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150447) and want to figure out what I need in a monitor to show most of what it can put out. Not in a super hurry to find one due to stupid UPS losing my case so I am now waiting for replacement to ship to me(will not come till the 1st-5th if the estimate process time is correct) or lost one to magically appear.(oh and ordered on the 4th so just a tiny massive bit annoyed)

monitor I have off old desktop is an HP vs15. what percent of my graphic card's capabilities could this display?

@_Elektro_ Well what are you not willing to do as a tank? Cause LR for example irritates me a lot because most people outright refuse to do anything but stand there getting pummeled by him. When it comes down to it in fights like that its keeping people alive that counts so if you have to play tag with LR so be it. Otherwise I find my kin/arch defender on an average team can always be the first to run in and survive 98% of the time.(71% SL resist and 30-33% defense across the broad and transfusion doesn't hurt either). He only has ever had problems with drawn out solo fights with more then an aggro cap around that is not SL. This week he even was the closest thing to a tank on an Apex with 3 defenders, 3 corrupters, 1 dom and an MM. He only died once after I failed to transference during force of nature crash and even went toe to toe with a pylon helping keep aggro off people ranging(and didn't die!!!! was so awesome).

I was happily surprised with the number of responses and thank you all for them.

Flamevoid: Yours has very nice endurance and a bit more recharge. I should have mentioned that unstoppable is one of my least favorite tier 9 god modes because while this is a really nice build for focusing on Unstoppable to me it sacrifices to much outside of it.


NecroOmNomNomicon: While the build I came up with is closer to yours and actually a bit weaker I have to agree with Finduilas on the weak points of your build. I would also like to point out like Finduilas that I see little point in taking stealth.


Hyperstrike: You were correct on those parts being different from Finduilas except the net on yours is also a bit less. Since I plan on getting a Nerve Partial Radial Revamp in my Alpha slot the extra defense in your build was less appealing to me then the better net end, better recharge, better slotting of Dull Pain and slightly more regen with that Alpha in effect.


Finduilas: Yours fit my concept of what I was trying to do with its great defense and the multiple little in it that were better then my attempt at it and other builds I saw. At this point that build will be the one I use on my inv tank "Metal of the Fold".
Edit: I did make to very slight changes I moved the slot with a Mako out of Shadow Punch and put in SJ for the Winters Gift Slow resist and changed the damage/range positrons blast in Ice Storm to the proc.

I have a lv 50 Inv/DM/Arctic tank that I have shelved and want to it make my 4th toon to be IOed out.

I am going just for big tough tank like 2 builds in this thread ----http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...highlight=dark---- but both the datalinks are broken. I am willing to use about 2billion inf and about 1200 merits for this guy. That is only if that step up in price makes a decent difference instead of like 2seconds of recharge or something. I am working on it myself in mids but would like to see others builds/input/advice.



Edit: Forgot about epic was thinking Arctic for aggro/survivability increase from snow storm. Would accept other ideas for epic.

Well so far only tank I have taken on Statesman is my SD/Fire tank so I do this really fun and easy easy(would go toe-to-toe but I don't like chancing him getting lose when I am only tank).

I hover right between those 2 spires and he just runs up and down while I taunt.

1st time I did it I moved to much and kept messing myself up trying to type instructions at same time. Didn't help I had the channelgun -recovery almost the whole time kept hitting me ever time I got back up(still finished that one)

2nd time I got the perfect spot-----Never lost him once and he only hit me once while team was fighting towers. That is right ONCE-UNO-ONE-Singular Hit, he managed to queue his ranged hit as he fell off once but it was after 2 towers had been dropped so it didn't hurt to bad and still had the bored emp hovering over me. The emp might have been a bit peeved I didn't help him with Healing badges but it made for a ZERO death Recluse fight.

3rd time with a therm I fought him on the ground and manged to stay alive whole time, was a real close call when I got toggle dropped and had to hop for my life(YAY inherent hurdle) luckily someone managed to give me a blue and LR only wanted to Melee me so kept from getting hit.


When my inv/dark gets set up I am not going to kite him again but I don't feel at all bad doing it and it is a riot watching him.

I am looking for instructions to build a spiral staircase. The one I got the idea from is in the Nexus of Transcendence VG base on freedom but have been unable to get in contact with the person who made it.

I would be awesome to talk to someone that has made one but I can work with at least a list of items and a couple good pictures.

If I get instructions or manage to make one myself will post photos and instructions.

Also no matter what rumors you hear lv shift does NOT effect your inf/xp/prestige gain.

I got 2 characters with the lv shift last night.

After I had gotten it on the first one I got on the 2nd and started forming a team of friends to get it. At this point only 4 of us on the team and none had gotten actually none of the other 3 had got one on any character yet. I went to Atlas Park to use the Market and mapserved 4 times there. Later during the STF I crashed once during recluse fight when still no one had a lv shift.

Ok now I feel real stupid, I forgot that I had edited my key binds on other computer. Just realized pets were actually in aggressive.

I preferred having defensive stance as 4 the binds I copied have it has 5

Problem solved: I was assuming my binds were same they had always been.
