If you dont have it in by christmas, then you need to adjust your way of thinking (Hide PSU thats has 6months of dust on it).

I ran the 1st raid with my old Villian static team toon. I crashed at the end with the sound loop and by the time I got back in the right zone it was over. I was having to do some work last night so I ran a couple of missions with friends before I had to run.

I do think that is you issue. I had a couple of bad PSU and when I swapped them out I was happy once again.

I would get coretemp and have it run while you play the game and log every munite .. once in the game the temp should not be spiking or changing at all. I run win7 64bit and only time I run into any issue is when I have Itunes, Vent, TS (yes I use both at times). and about 12 different copies of IE running). and to note that is more from starting and stopping the game about 40 times since last reboot.
My system is up 24/7 has a Nvidia card (older drivers).
again like others said check temps..Oh if you have the Nvidia monitoring tools installed .. try just the base drivers
Edit: I agree with Stray as PSU can be the issue. 500W is low for a system that has a 260+ video card. Cheap PSU tend to cause lots of problems. Also check the fan in the PSU and make sure it is still working. If a PSU over heats the amount of power drops that is can handle. -

Doesnt always cause problems and I do run it without issue, Might want to check to make sure it is not having issues.
unless you use Groove, I would turn it off, wasted resourse for most people.
with having 4 GB of memory, 32 bit os and 12gb free HD space. I would check your swap file settings in windows. If windows in managing it, you could be swapping out 2-3 gb of that free space idle.
you may think 12gb is a lot but it can go fast if windows things it needs more for the swap space. -

I have to say I am guilty of letting the pre-32 market dry up, most of the time my merits will be gathered up until I reach lvl 32 and can roll across the 35-39 pool (Random is my madness).
I have enough LoTG +7.5 to cover my next 2 toons that I am leveling. -
