No such luck.
After a couple of months of hardship at work, and a recent dead power supply in my gaming PC, I will be returning to Paragon City.
For those who aren't on my Facebook Friends List (And why not?) you might have heard through the grapevine, that I almost lost my job in November. More to the point, I was given a lay-off date of November 13th. Yes, they were going to terminate me on Friday the 13th. The irony is not lost upon me. So, from Mid-October till the 13th, I was fighting to prove my worth at work. This meant longer-hours, and ALOT of sucking up! (Hey, I'm not proud of it, but it helped!) Finally, at lunchtime on the 13th, I was given a reprieve and asked to stay on. But, was told I would need to take on more duties at work. So, it's been pretty hectic ever since as I try to assimilate my new responsibilities into my work schedule.
Finally about a week ago, I was getting home at a reasonable time, and not totally drained of energy so I could sign on and do some Heroism/Villainy. But, my power supply was dead. Ashcraft seems to think it dead of neglect.... I'm not sure I can dispute the claim.
But, this morning, I picked up my Power Supply from the Post Office, and with luck I'll be able to install it before Xmas. (It's my birthday weekend this weekend, so I expect to be out partying or a reasonable facsimile there of till Tuesday.)
I apologize to the Static Team if you missed your weekly helping of short jokes with Knee High Crab Guy on hiatus. Hopefully after the 1st of the year I'll be able to make Wednesday Nights a regular play night again.
And I'm hoping to see and team with everyone still on Champion!
