.. in 60 % of Tin mage speed runs we do in defiant, we get dodger without shivans/nukes (we don't aim for it , it just happens)... the secret is to attack him ASAP in his spawning point, and have a lot of debuffs on him so to die very quickly....

Quote:same here... brand new pc, always maxxed out graphics, but before i enter a trial i lower my graphics in recomended settings to avoid lagYou may be able to handle a team of 8 but are you able to handle a team of 16 or 24?
I usually play with everything nearly maxxed out and with hardly any lag but for trials I have to drop the graphics down to performance level or I can't even load. I don't mind that so much though because I've always had to do that for Rikti Mothership and Hamidon raids anyway. Maybe you should try lowering graphics? It's not like there's much to look at during raids. -
Quote:I don't want to sound like I am telling you how to play, because however you get the move enjoyment from the game is the way you need to play.
I do think that the sentiment you have stated here is not likely to earn you much praise or teammates in the long run and will really lessen your playing experience here in City of Heroes.
Heals are of little value in City of Heroes. Team buffs and enemy debuffs that proactively limit incoming damage are just far and away better at keeping a team alive and speeding through content than heals.
As a defender you have half of your power sets devoted to damage. Don't short change yourself by not paying attention to your secondary or fool yourself into thinking your doing more for the team by being a "pure healer".
Aside from the dps you contribute most of these attacks will have a secondary effect that is beneficial to the team. These sets also tend to feature a utility power that will take a troublesome mob out of the fight and keep them off of the teams back.
totally agreed...... in COX there is no "healers", just some powersets have some heal powers ... -
i had the same bug with thugs, but only when i played a lowbie in Praetoria... on the other hand i levelled a zombie at 50 the last month, and never had the problem

...my belief is that all combos can solo, some AT slower though (tanks, defenders, trollers in lower levels)..... very good soloers are brutes, scrappers, stalkers and Masterminds... also the redside AT are more solo-friendly imo....
... i personally like very much to solo with my stalkers (solo suits them thematically too... lone assasin etc etc) -
as other posters above mentioned... /elec in lvl 50 with tough and cardiac has capped Energy res, 62 % S/L res, 40-50 % res in other types (iirc atm exactly).... if u throw S/L defence softcap and modest recharge (135-140 % with hasten), you will have one of the most durable toons in the game.... (also work yous accolades, its good to add high HP)

2nd treespec gives normal rewards

Quote:thats how i use PGT too, i also strongly recommend to slot Lockdown Proc (it will help u realize better how PGT works, till now it's the power that i get the better use of the proc)PGT is a bit weird.
When the trap first goes off it applies a single, short hold to all enemies in range (this hold has to make a hit roll even though PGT cannot take accuracy enhancements). After that the gas cloud remains for 30 seconds which will once a second apply a regeneration debuff and have a 2% chance of applying an additional short hold.
Now in general the primary usage of PGT is really the regeneration debuff against AVs. The usage of the core power against normal enemies is not as good. What I do is jump into the middle of a group and place the Trap. That way the entire group gets hit by the first hold which provides some benefit. I also recommend putting in a Lockdown Hold Proc, that provides an additional change to hold during the rest of te duration so you get quite a bit more effectiveness. -

in the above link it shows how i managed to separate rommy from nictus... i hope it helps -
forums are kinda space for open discussion, "hijacked" is total wrong word here.... also if u wanted only an answer of simiral times, you should post in "players question" section

Quote:i agree with the above....also u can set your tf to +4 for more edge... also the incaranate system is designed in a way that ppl won't be bothered to take full incarnate powers to all their 50s..........so 2-5 OP toons of 20-50 (or more) is not such a big thingI don't get it. You spend hours upon hours taking your lvl 1 hero/villain to lvl 50. And then once you get there, you spend even more hours min/maxing the build with IOs, then once you're done that, you spend more hours running incarnate trials to make yourself even stronger. THEN you come on here and complain that you're too strong??
This argument is as silly as a man suing Mcdonalds for making him fat or very muscular man getting upset with his gym for making him too fit. You reap what you sow people.
Besides it's not like you HAVE to use your incarnate powers. There is the option to unslot them. Heck, it's not like you have to use your IOs either. Dual builds ftw.
As for the OP, expect those numbers to halve once the rest of the incarnate abilities are introduced. -

also Stalker version of claws has Eviscerate as ST and it has no spin (AS instead) and no Follow up (build up instead)... more food for thought

I did a BAF on sunday and i had no lag at all, and the weekly MSR had the usual "classic" lag when we were on ship (nothing like the last week nightmare)
