    Ew.

I agree that game should be nuked!
  2. So, of the Praetorians who stayed in Praetoria, anyone hit 50?

Can we get a photo of the highest Praetorian?

(The highest I saw so far is 26)
  3. Option 1

Costume creation isn't something I am good at. While I have lots of fun creating stuff, it doesn't look that good.

If Option 1 gives more flexability to create stuff and gives us more options in the future then I say 1.

Good read. My PB ended up being an Inhuman and my WS is human only. So I suppose I could revisit the class with a new Kheld sometime in the future.
  5. Ms Liberty and Malaise in the old days.

Currently: Ms Liberty, Castle and Luminary
  6. I have to give the team pie for making this change to Fitness and making the 1-20 game a more enjoyable experience for me. (and many other players)

Good timing on the i19 btw
  7. Sounds like an old video game but Where in the USA is Praetoria?

If I had to guess, I would say Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. This is a saltwater lake that is relatively shallow which would be suitable for creating the artificial islands that make up Pretoria. The local area would probably grow lots of trees after Hamidon "Edened" over New Orleans.
  8. Um, Emp/Mind Defender with brawl on auto.

    /kidding

It pretty much comes down to what you have fun playing doing one of the most boring things in the game. Saying what is best is like posting a sign for Castle to "nerfbat me".

Mix of inf & recipes to sell?):

    Fire/Storm Cont
    Stone/Elec Brute
    Bot/Dark MM
    Arach Soldier
    Widow
    DB/WP scrap
    SS/DA brute

[Yes, I've been here since launch and I only have 7 50s. What!? I'm easily distracted.]

I also have a spines/da scrap in the 40s, in case that's a better option.
  9. I think its more about the players have not yet figured out the path of least resistance in Pretoria yet.

I'm sure players will eventually take advantage of the numerous ambushes and farm them, or go back to the old sewer team runs.

Frankly, I've been liking the new missions in Pretoria even with no diff slider I still see teams wipeout constantly. I actually prefer to watch and see how players figure things out. Probably the most interesting part of the game.

I will note that powersets that are good early make a big difference on Pretoria teams vs some of the late blooming sets.
  10. After seeing how few Merits the New Positron TF is now, I would probably suggest working on the TFs that reward low merit numbers.

Eden would be a good place to start. Its one of the best Trial Maps in the game. Sadly, its also quite feature rich*

*You need a 39-41 to start it (since its bugged and won't let anyone above 42 start it)
*Thanks to all the Speeden runs its worth only 7 merits. The Titan-O isn't very useful either.

So in this case, I would vote for an Eden revamp.

    So... Stalkers.

While I certainly like what a Stalker offers, I just feel the AT gives up too much for little benefit.

Here are some of my issues.

    1. Ambushes - They just know where you are. I just avoid missions with ambushes in them as much as possible.

    2. Competition from other ATs. Plenty of other ATs do more damage and offer more utility to a team. Bane Soldier being the best example. Leadership toggles and plenty of damage with stealth strike.

    3. Stalker Hide is easy to replicate - Stealth IOs, concealment and super speed.

    4. Power selection is tight since Build Up, Assassin Strike and Placate are supposed to be the signature AT powers. (heck I would argue that post 32 I would just respec out of AS and Placate)

    5. There was a better version of the current Demoralize but it never got off test server. It ended up getting scaled back to what we currently have.

    My suggestions

    Quicker fixes

    1. Reduction of animation time on AS and Placate.
    2. Increase BU from 80% to 100%
    3. Improve Demoralize
    4. Improve Crit chance per teammate and increase the radius that it works.

    Other fixes

    1. Time to look over Assassin strike. It should be faster and more usable in a team. It shouldn't be just an opener and become an afterthought after 32.

    2. Some other utility for a stalker to offer to a team other than just DPS. Something +to hit buff, +damage or +defense for the team.
  12. Well here is my suggestion.

    Fire/fire - Dominator
    Fire/fire - Blaster

Now go out there and cook everything!

Here is how we wanna do it, just vote for your favorite combo. But please pick just one combo. We will make the top two vote choices, how well those two compliment each other is not a factor in any way.

There are a few exceptions though. No tanks, warshades, peacebringers, or Kinetics(the buff set, melee is fine) and we won't remake something we already have at 50.

    Thanks for helping us out!
  13. There are some team/characters who have 75% psi resistance and at defense cap for all 3 positions and do lethal damage which they are vulnerable to.

I know the VEAT team I am on loves fighting carnies because they are so easy to kill.

What we skip are things like Soldiers of Rularuu. There is a reason why defense softcapped people avoid them. 45% defense isn't enough.

More interested in knowing whether Jolting Chain or Static Field are things I ought to have considered in its stead.
Personally, I would take havoc punch instead. it animates in 1/2 the time and does nearly the same damage. Its different from the melee version as well.
  15. I don't know your style of play or how you plan to play. However, I will point out (you probably know this already) but Dominator Thunderstrike does Radial KB. Its not like the Melee type versions which do KD.

Also Chain Fences does not have -KB in it. I'd hate for you to level to 35 and find out about it.
  16. No pie for the person who decided it should be more than 1 zowie per mission.

3 Rosebushes to showcase it? Ok, fine they are all close together and I can deal with that once. 3 Bombs? Really, 1 should have been enough. 10 dumpsters? Ok, that's going back to the "Hunt 10 Circle of Thorns in Kings Row" type of hunts where you have to find them only at night on the tops of some buildings. Other than the first Rosebush mission reduce these down to 1. The last thing a team of 8 wants to do is wait around for people to clicky stuff.

    Razer Naga

It was a new feature they were talking about. They added in a powertray specifically for the Razer Naga.

In the era of the laser mouse, I threw away my old tech ball mouse years ago. Along with that filthy dust collecting mousepad. Yuck!

No thanks on the Going Rogue Razer mousepad, I feel its silly to move my laser mouse over Desdemona.

    Razer Naga

The Razer Naga mouse is one of the new shinies in Going Rogue, anyone have it yet?

If you have it do you like it?

Looks interesting, of course I'm the guy with the $9.95 10 year old keyboard with the $19.95 mouse. The Naga is $80

I still find it funny that the salesperson at CompUSA asked me if I wanted to buy an extended warranty on my $9.95 keyboard for.....$12.95! I said, "Dude, if it breaks I'll just buy a new one for $9.95" Here it is still working, with some pretty worn out keys.

If you're willing to press a button occasionally, leave fort on auto and hit AB when it comes up.

Sonic or Traps might still be better, but I can't think of a reason to use FF over emp with shield. Maybe use the Dispersion Bubble to cap defense and put an attack on auto?

FF works a lot better if you've got Fire/Fire on the tank.
Force Field has a much better chance of survival from AoE splash. Yes, emp buffs are very nice but the request was autofollow. Cold, Storm and Dark also work too. Sonic has Disruption Field which is -30% res AoE on Ally which would be a nice damage buff. Then set sonic siphon on Auto for another -30% and should be easy to stack it up to -90% for a total of -120% on a target. Very nice for taking down AVs. The sonic defender can take tough and have enough damage resistance to surive AoE splash.

There are many combos that stack well. I think "best" would be two fun characters to run outside of the 2 box duo as well.
  21. Actually, many of the villainside SFs give "better" Merits per min in the sense my merits/time ratio is generally better with villains.

Heck the new Positron TFs are some of the worst on merits/time.

The biggest pro for heroside, is that heroside TFs are run more often.

I view 50 as both the destination and the start of a new journey, so when I get there I like to have more chips to cash in.

I'm not ridiculing your choice. If there were no rewards I would much rather run content as good as the redside arcs.
  22. Lots of interesting ideas pop into my head. I think Local_Man has the right idea. Fire/Rad. Heck more amusing might be two Fire/Rad controllers. If you run the fire/rad the second troller could be Fire/Sonic. Heh, two fire sonics.

Actually, I would go with a fire/fire tank, shield/fire tank, fire/shield scrapper or spines/electric Scrapper with a Force Field, Sonic or traps defender.

Lots of good combos out there. Probably best to find two fun characters you like to play.
  23. *Waves Flag* Someone let Black Pebble know about this one. A chance to increase earnings for the company.

  25. I had a problem that sounded like this. I "fixed" it by rebooting the machine.
