Just remember, everyone started somewhere! Stay positive, and it'll work out!

Im not sure what to guess for my day two. My faith in my billion bid is a little shaken. I thought I was being overly cautious, but it seems that may not be the case.

If 1.5 billion isnt taken, I think it is, I'll go with 1.75 billion.

For clarification, can we guess over the cap? I mean, it could happen.
  3. I started a Broadsword/Electric Armor scrapper recently myself. I like it so far, but having never built an /ela character, it's going to be a learning experience.
  4. I like this. I'd pay through the nose for some decent costume stuff. (like a robe) Plenty of good ideas here.

Wont need them as much, but I'd like to see him continue to use them at his current rate, if not at a higher rate as he produces more. I never see people using them, except to make awakens.

That *could* be from my lack of teaming, though. But when I *do* team, not so much INSP eating going on.

(I am glad to see someone converted to enjoying a scrapper.)

  7. Very nice! All very positive and informative. Ive got a friend who just recently started playing, I'll be sending him here so he can get his start on the market. Thanks!

    Demon Prince

My demon/ff, while only 28, is going really strong. I suspect a lot of that is from /ff, but the heal demon throws his (her?) heal out much more often than the pro bots. I plan on taking aid other to fill in a more "on demand" healing that I dont get with the t2 minion heal, and insp use.

I think of it as a lot like bots/ff, but trading stacking def and A. bot aoe smash for some resists and D. prince control. I am intrigued about demon/thermal, but all the therms I see only take the heals and the rez, and if they do have the shields, they dont use them.
  11. Ive got Scorpion on my bots/ff now. I dont really use power boost that often, but I enjoy the def stacking. I really want to try the toon with Mu, to see if the -KB is worth the loss of radius on the immob.

I know it's not much of a help, but I'd try the build both ways, and see which one you like more. You have a second spec (unless it's tied up by your pvp spec, or some other special spec), you could make one Scorpion, one Mu, and compare them. I think that's what I'll do, too. After all, it is personal preference.
  12. I, for one, find the bowtie a nice touch. Congratulations.

You need to say the Red Name three times to summon them. Think Hastur. But, then we'd all lose all of our SAN.

This is my primary "worry". The new UI, while obviously not really a big hit with some of the forum posting people, how does the "casual gamer" rate it? Is it more or less easy to find the purples they need for their warshades?

Traffic on the black market is already low, if people just delete or vendor everything because they dislike the new UI, it will get even slower. (I try to throw everything up on the market Im not using *right now*, and have a character on red freedom parked in the 30s I try to play at least once a week to generate some mid level stuff.)

Then again, this could just be a case of me over thinking the "problem". The "casuals" might love the new UI to itty bitty pieces.
  15. I'll be ok, I dont have any global friends.

...I realize, that's not really something to be proud of, is it?
  16. I am furiously indifferent to the new market, for now. I havent done any major botches, yet. I move a lot of common IOs (Im a small business kinda fella, but I want for nothing), so I like the remember price feature, but dont like it when Im trying to buy salvage.

I guess I just adjusted to the new market interface by spending a few more minutes at the market being careful. There are holes in the design that you will fall into if you arent careful. And while that might not be a big deal for some, (a person trying the market for the first time, or coming back for the very first time) if a person hits one of those holes, that'll be their justification for "blah blah market sucks blah blah, I was right blah blah."

All told, (in this thread especially) the new market is running mild all over CoX, I am furiously indifferent to it, and will continue that mindset into the forseeable future.

(tl;dr WHATCHA GONNA DO, BROTHER, WHEN MARKET MANIA RUNS MILD ON YOU?)
  17. Ive been getting a lot of them as well. I mail off the ones I think will sell when the market comes up, craft one of each to appease one of my many many CoX addictions (temp power? must keep it FOREVER and NEVER use it! Vial of BEEEEEEEEEES), and vendor the rest.

How wonderfully Lovecraftian. Doubleplusgood! Watch out for Brown Jenkin, though.
  19. I'll miss him and his brother BM interface. It's so sad they died on the same day. I wonder if they'll ever catch the person/persons that did it.

    My Second Purple

Normally, when I play my MM, I usually maybe run about 4 or 5 mish'es before I get bored with her and switch to another Toon that I may be working on developing. Needless to say, when I opened up my Inventions tab and saw that nice shiny shade of purple, it was almost like the feeling you get when you were younger, opening up Christmas Presents under the tree and you get that certain kind of rush of excitement.

Maybe that's why the dev's make them so rare. So we will appreciate them more when we get them...hehe.

I think it's nice that there are people out there who get drops and still get excited like this. It takes me back to happier times. Congrats!

  22. Cap it is, then. I spend as little time as I can by the Cap BM. My PC likes to lag a bit more there, for some reason; Im not tryin to give away an extra zero to someone.

That, and I like to pretend I can hear the waves on the docks as I play the market in sharkshead. It's peaceful.
