It finally happened

At least, to me.

I've heard about this happening to other folks, but had not experienced it myself. I was building some low-level ACC IOs for my SG and bid on a stack of Luck Charms at 30,000 apiece.

I went to get the Boresights and the UI randomly decided to cache my last bid, so I wound up bidding 30,000,265 for a stack of 10 boresights.

I managed to cancel after only 3 had been bought, but...damn, devs, fix the freaking WW UI, please.

Hope whoever got 30 million for a Boresight needed it

...unfortunately, the WW UI isn't broken. It was working as intended. It saves your last bid, so there is nothing for the Devs to "fix." Of course, there is nothing stopping them from changing how the interface works. But saying "fix" implies that the interface is somehow broken and not doing what it is programmed to do.

I would consider a feature that causes nothing but headaches to be broken, no matter what sort of intentions the person adding it had.

Its not just the last bid bit thats messy. If you have a number of items 'stored' and you go to sell a particular item or stack sometimes the UI shifts to another stack right when you hit "post" to sell. Ive had this happen no less than 3 times now. Even when I was really careful and looking at what I was doing and making sure I was in the right listing.

Its gotten so I'm scared everytime I list something.

My worst whammy is a stack of high priced items I was working to flip. Accidentally sold them on the cheap, though still a reasonable price, they sold for far lower than I wanted. That and the total stack sold for over 2 billion. So now I've got a slot locked up with a sale that I cant claim cause its more than I can hold. Its been 3 weeks now since I submitted the petition and support basically has said "we dont have the tech in place to address this issue, we'll contact you when we do". Ive checked in with them a number of times and they say they are "still waiting".

WTF. And it doesnt seem like they are doing anything about it soon.

I put a stack of 10 regenerating flesh on the market for 200 million each.

It'd saved the last set price I put something on the market for and also managed to select something different from what I was planning to put up there.

I figure it's my own fault for not double-checking.

I have had similar things happen to me outside of the Market.

It did this to me earlier today, stack of 10 regen flesh listed for the price of a crafted IO each.

That, or your last quantity. It's quite frustrating when you never know if it will save it or not. Especially when you're trying to buy 3 of a bunch of salvage and halfway through it forgets the 'quantity: 3' and you end up with only 1 of some of them.

Um, what? You're talking about BIDS, as in what you're paying to buy an item? I have NEVER had the market keep track of my last bid amount.

Tracks mine all the time. I Find it very handy as I like to buy a bunch of different commons and uncommons for crafting my ticket rolls and not needing to retype my bids over and over is much appreciated.

I did have to learn to always bid cheap to expensive and not the other way around after accidentally buying some unquenchable flames at the same price as pangean soil. Now, worst case I have a too low bid I need to cancel and replace.

Happens to me all the time buying stuff for generic IOs.
