Quote:Just tossing this out there that, while running at -1 to make enemies level 49, you'll get level 49 non-Purple recipes that do not sell anywhere near as much as their level 50 counterparts. Not sure if this is a factor in your plan, but wanted to put it out there.Yes and no, really.
Purples drop from any enemies capable of dropping Level 50 IO recipes. A minion has the same chance to drop a purple at -1 as a +4 would. So the drop rate per kill is the same.
However, you're likely to be able to kill the -1 much faster, so drop rate over time increases by going at -1/+8 than at +4/+8. -
Category D for me on two different accounts.

Quote:Understood. Different strokes for different folks, and all that. I've always been a fan of world changing actions in MMOs.I don't think adding a feature which allows redside players to inconvenience blueside players at will (or vice versa) would ever be very popular. If you want your villain to come into Paragon and cause trouble, that's exactly what Mayhem missions are for. If you want to go to a zone where your villain can compete against player controlled heroes and alter the environment to favor one side over the other, that's what PVP zones are for. But allowing players to negatively impact other players in a separate PVE zone whether they want to participate in the rivalry or not? No thanks.
Mayhem Missions are pretty limp, in my opinion, in making me feel like I roughed up Paragon City and made any differece. I know that what I'm doing is impacting nobody, so it doesn't make me feel like I'm causing mayhem at all. -
My apologies Rajani Isa and IronBlade. Reading comprehension failure on my behalf.
Quote:If the character the OP is buying for to can use level 35 SOs, they are probably of the correct level for the store contact to talk to them. Its the level 50 that the store contact won't talk to. Emailing influence should work fine--yes, it wasn't an option in the past, I think what Ehrnam meant was, why is no one suggesting that to the OP now? -
I don't think open world PVP is what they meant, at least that's not how I read that suggestion. I read it more along the lines of a villain coming into Paragon to do a PVE mission, and the results of that mission have a real world effect on the heroes in that area of Paragon for X amount of time. But, not the kind of indirect effects that the PVP zones have for buffing or debuffing people. More like, for example, the villain mission was to sabotage the Wentworth's in Steel Canyon. If successful, as a result heroes in Steel would not be able to use the Wentworth's there for 30 minutes or whatever. Just an example.

Quote:I like to be optimistic that I'm selling everything I'm listing. Sometimes that is stupid optimism, but I'd say I'm in the 80/20 rule there.Yes, and that will work perfectly as long as you sell it. If you list something but remove it from the market without selling it, then your listing fee will not be refunded.

Quote:Thanks! I did not know the RWZ vendors sold SOs. Tried them out and they have lvl35s, just what I was looking for.I'm also pretty sure that the stores in the Rikti War Zone and Cimerora sell level 35+ SOs without having to run missions. You may have to scroll a bit to find them though.
Quote:First a dumb question - if you're level 50, why do you want to buy lvl 30 SOs? They aren't like IOs which will still work at level 50. ETA: I see you've been around for almost 8 years, so you probably knew that.
Thanks everyone for your help! -
I'm speaking of the ones that you have to do a mission for before they will sell you their lvl30/35/40 SOs, hero side; the likes of Holsten Armitage, Seraphina, etc. I'm on a character who is lvl50 but I cannot get their missions. ParagonWiki says they'll offer their enhancements to anyone 30+, but when I go to them I can neither get their mission nor purchase enhancements from them. I tried Ouroboros but their missions are not in those lists.
Any ideas how I could go about getting them unlocked? Thanks in advance! -

I'll reiterate what others have said about the patrol XP one. I tend to use those in the 30+ game. Generally speaking, as one would expect, the levels in that range get increasingly slower because you need more XP to level and the enemies don't follow the same XP curve. Those really help to even that out.

Ah, I see where my misunderstanding is. Thank you so much for your help on this!

Writing an Excel formula to calculate final earnings based upon an initial list price and projected sale price. The math for the fees seems simple, but I'm not as intelligent as I like to think I am
, so wanted to make sure the math was right. Can someone confirm/deny? Thanks in advance!
EARNINGS = SALE_PRICE - (SALE_PRICE * .1) + (LIST_PRICE * .05) -
I've never used an "SG is calling!" excuse to get out of a team, or any other excuse for that matter, just to quit the team. I have of course used legitimate excuses to leave a team. I've never really understood using a fake excuse to leave the team. If I want to leave the team, I'm just going to tell them I'm leaving and head out. No need to sugar coat it. On a few occasions I've been sent a follow-up tell from the team leader asking why I left and to come back, and I told them the truth: bad team, poor leading, etc.

Can someone explain to me who said being is? Don't include the Paragon Wiki link, I've already read it. But, it doesn't give a clear picture of who they are and what exactly they have done and are doing. A private message would be fine since I'm also trying to avoid spoiling the thread.

Quote:No, I don't believe anyone posting in this thread believed you got 2 infl for the name, but why did you feel the need to lie/sarcasm your way out of it? Why not just own up to a mistake? At the risk of keeping this thread going. sigh. Yes, the name is still mine. Seriously, did anyone think that I got 2 Billion for a name?
Not sure why the other thread got deleted. It was a thoughtful discussion about names, marketing, etc. Quite philosophical.
This degenerated into flame war tantrum mess while the posts were still in the single digits, yet is still here.
I guess we know what types of threads are preferred.
As to why it was met with much resistance, you should have searched around and read this thread here first:

The poster there did a similar advertisement and got met with similar resistance. I don't think there's much wonder why they are getting responded to similarly. -
Quote:I don't mind being proven wrong, and in this case happy to be. But, my opinion still stands that patch notes for this game have never, ever been made available early enough.

Blerg, that makes sense. The server status page information has rarely been correct. I guess I'd like them to start announcing any server downtime, whether it be for patches, maintenance, etc. That way we don't have to rely on that status page at all.
-
Quote:Maintenance should only be once a week on Thursdays, as per this page. There's usually, or at least very often, server maintenance on Tuesday and Thursday at 7 AM Eastern Time.

I can vouch for this being the correct case 300%, because I've done it 100% this way 3 times. Ok, so I made up that math, but yes I've done it this way 3 times and worked this way every time. All 3 of those accounts are Premium now and have SG access. I made up the cost by not eating at McDonald's this week.

Thank you both for the quick responses. I should have written my original post a little better. By "in-game" days, I meant cumulative play time.
Thanks again! -
A seemingly dumb question but I think I have an intelligent confusion over the matter. The Invention License from the market says it lasts 30 days from time of purchase. Is this 30 real world days, or 30 days of in-game time?
Thanks in advance.
