Never played a fire dom, but I gotta say I love Singularity to bits. What squishy WOULDN'T want a nice repulsion field that only costs endurance once when it's turned on?

Does putting self-benefiting procs (chance for +heal, chance for +endurance) in Conductive Aura work? Mids implies that it grants the healing/endurance to the baddies around me, and I want to know if that's a glitch in Mids or a warning not to even try it.

So I'm writing a research paper for my English class on the differences between male and female gamers, and since CoX has such a high percentage of female players (myself included) I figured this would be a good place to gather some information. So, if you all could answer a few questions for me, that'd be great:

1. Are you male or female?

2. What ATs do you mostly play, and for what reason(s)?

3. Redside, blueside, purpleside, or any combination of the above?

4. What are your favorite story arcs?

5. What makes you like this game?

6. What other games do you play?

7. How long have you been playing?

8. How many alts do you have, what is the average level range, and how many are level 50?

9. Do you bother with softcaps, set bonuses, and all that numerical stuff? What difficulty settings to you normally use?

I'm not asking for your opinions on the differences, if you believe they exist, just your own personal preferences. Once you tell me about you, I'll do all the data analysis... I'm not asking you guys to do my homework for me, I'm only looking for data to write about. Thanks!

"Unfortunate," huh? I wonder if it was the same guy that tried to recruit me, and used that word to describe how I was wasting my talent by choosing to look for an RPSG instead of joining his. He then proceeded to talk in infuriating circles while professing that doing so was a good thing, and didn't seem to understand why I was becoming more and more hostile to him... or at least, that's what he SAID.

You know what I hate even more than layered rooms? That one Crey lab map that gets used ALL THE TIME and has elevators EVERYWHERE. That all go different places.

My vote goes to the Go Talk To Some NPC That Was New At One Time But Now You Have Known He Was There For Years. Seriously, I KNOW about the PVP zones, The Hollows, and Faultline.

Also possible is Defeat Council In Steel Canyon. Bloody 5th Column always get 'em first...

Even more that I keep suddenly remembering:

Illumineer, Ill/Rad troller. Semi-steampunk, a scientist in the field of "electromagnetic radiance and its effects on the human psyche." Basically, light-based: the debuffs from Rad are meant to be just another offensive application, like her Spectral Wounds and Blind powers. Megafun.

Cordycepsis, a mutant who controls fungus... specifically the mind-controlling fungal parasite she picked up in a jungle somewhere and *****-slapped into submission. I've given her the most disgusting, rotted costume I can conceive, and colored her powers (mind control/thorny assault) to match. Thorns were chosen because the Cordyceps fungus, which does exist and fortunately only infects insects, looks like this when it takes over a host.

Caffiend, a disgruntled barista who Just Can't Take It Any More. Energy/Kin corruptor, both sets colored dark brown. I doubt any further explanation is required.

Mender Zeal, a thinly-veiled reference to Chrono Trigger. Specifically a Dark/Dark Corruptor, but with several of his attacks recolored to appear like other elements (Moonbeam is now a bright yellow lightning bolt, Tar Patch is blue-white and as frosty as I can make it, and Night Fall colored orange makes some lovely hellfire).

Voidfire, a friend's kin/fire scrapper. He didn't know how to make the name fit, so I was like "Dude just color your kinetics dead black, and be NOTHINGNESS melee."

Seasquall, Dark/Storm Corruptor. Her Dark is seawater... total no-brainer, given the tentacle blast in that powerset

Amira al Ifrit, Fire/Dark Scrapper. She's a genie, and her Dark Armor is recolored to be sand.

The Hour Thief, Grav/Kin Controller. I see this combo all the time to represent temporally-based powers. It's pretty self-explanatory. For the same reason, Kinetics is also the primary of one of my other two Menders... this one an even-more-thinly-veiled clone of Doc Brown.

A planned but as-yet-unnamed AR/undecided-maybe-energy Blaster who will use the Science pack to be a mech pilot. She won't be using anything other than a few basic AR attacks while out-of-mech (plus Brawl and any other normal-human-can-do-this powers I may or may not end up taking), since the majority of her combat abilities are tied to her giant battlemech costume.

While I've seen other Freakshow PCs, I think I'm the only one who plays a Meat Doctor.

I know the logic, it still just seems somewhat odd.

Not even if they go blue? That explains it, then. Odd, since they have PPPs.

Wedding, hands down. It has many of my favorite costume parts ever in it. They match a lot of the Magic pack too!
