I can't agree. I never got more than 2 or 3 uncommon IO's in a farm and i farm more than i play normal content. But then again, maybe its just my account that has a low drop rate bug. Also, i've gotten 2 purp drops and a respec, all 3 on my wifes account. Again, my account has been flagged by devs i think. lol.

I can't complain on drops. I farmed this weekend on a BM map set for 8 +1's. I got hundreds of salvage, hundreds of common io's, and 2 purples. (both arma)

Hopefully i can single handed lower price rates. At least on salvage since i'm selling all for less than 500. So, buy em up.

I don't know how it works, but yes, i'd say farming is still the best way. Would i rather run arcs for goodies? HECK YEA! Is it ever gonna be as lucrative as farming, i doubt it.

I have no idea of how drops are determined but i do know one thing, %'s suck. lol. I dual box farm and my 2nd account gets more drops EVERY time. Even now with my farm set to 8, i get about 30 salvage per run and 7-8 recipes while my 2nd gets about 11 recipes per run. (commons) I only get about 2-3 set recipes in a whole run.

Cat's right. Market peeps will try to help you make inf. But i agree with the OP as the market people know. I don't and won't buy purples to fuel the greed in CoH. That means i farm, ALOT. Every purple i have slotted came from drops. I feel ya pain OP, it sux, but the market forums isn't the best place to complain about drops because they're all into making inf and that defeats their purpose for playing.

If you want purples, your best bet is farm alot or sell EVERYTHING from salvage to recipes to save up and pay their prices, imo.

I'm loving dual boxing the demon set to 8 and -1. My fire/kin and fire/rad is runninng thru it in less than 20minutes. Salvage is getting close to full on each run and recipes are about 11 per run. About 1/2 and 1/2 on commons and sets. I've just been placing all salvage for 222 and selling it fast as i'm not worried about making a killing on salvage as much as the recipes.

Best drops have been 3 Crushing Impacts and 1 Oblit damage on one run and 4 orange salvage on 1 run.

Well, i ran my demon farm 2 times dual boxed. I'm getting drops galore. No purp yet but filled up salvage both times and a ton of commons and a few set recipes.

My Fire/Kin/Fire (also earth here works well) troller and my Spines/Fire/Caltrops are my 2 biggest AoE's atm.

Fire/Storm corr is in the works. Freezing Rain and Rain of Fire sounds too awesome.

but a well played toon is great regardless of AT


This. I play with 3 people regular. No scrap or tank on the team, and we run on level 5 and i don't think we've had a wipe yet. Most of the time, we have 1 troller, 1 def, and 1 blaster. 1 of us may play a tank occassionally, but the results are always the same.

Well, i guess i just need more practice since everyone else has it down. lol. Off to practice.

Could it be any more of a pain in the rear to stack and build seperating walls? Why in the world do they not just give us a wall piece to use, OR, let us stack objects without having to use a safe or something?

I played a war game called Joint Operations, and the editor in that game was soooo easy to use. We made whole maps, inserted every building, vehicle, could use a timer and make rain fall and all kinds of stuff. There was no using objects to stack other items. Back to topic.

Why don't they make it simple to do? It's taking me 30 minutes just to cover a wall with shelves having to use a safe to stack them on top of each other. Then if the mouse moves it throws the shelf all over the place. If one object can stack they all should be able to, imo. Really, what would it hurt?

Sorry, i'm just frustrated. I really think my 50mil would be better paid for a decorator. At this point id prolly throw up 100mil or a 7.5 rech.

Have you played with my stone/ice tank? LMAO. i actually have mine setup with the pool taunts also and leadership powers. I feel like ice doesn't have really good damage anyway, so i try my best to support the "team". Taunt to Ice Patch FTW. The more i can keep them taunted, in mud pots, and on the ice patch the easier time my team has to killing them. I also went with the earth epics for debuffs and quicksand does a nice job pulling the next mob while in battle.

Just to add to what perwira said. You can always have a place for 7.5%'s if you place a couple in a stealth pool power. It allows def sets. So every AT is able to at least get those.

With my wifes blaster i wanted inferno up as fast as possible. I got hasten, slotted powers with Posi's and Deci's for rech, and went stealth pools. I got stealth, invisi, and phase shift to place a lotg 7.5% in each one. When farming with my friends, my inferno is up every 3 mobs with 1 shot of SB. Not sure of actual numbers of minutes but it sure feels fast.

We've had both. I had a sd/fire tank and my cousin had the same as a scrapper. Well, with his 1 shot kill capabilities, and my squishy feeling as a tank, needless to say i deleted my tank at 46. I didn't have "sets", just commons. But hey, they say the game is still built around SO's, so it shouldn't matter. Right.

I guess with enough inf sd can be a decent tank but i've heard of many people deleting or re-rolling as a diff AT.

As far as strength, it took me 2 shots to do as much damage as him with 1. All he had were commons also. Good luck with your choice, but i'd go scrapper for the xtra damage.

Those were some cool pics, Caleb. I'm letting someone redo mine atm but not feeling it. I want a comfy, homey feel. I like the pics of like the kitchen area, tv area with the speakers. Stairs to diff rooms, all that kinda stuff is more of what i'm looking for than what i have now. When do you think you'd be able to create an alt on Justice and mess around?

I only play on the Justice server. I could prolly make u 50mil in a couple days tho. lol.

Tickets are good. BUT, the most expensive thing i've gotten to drop sold for 40 mil. The most expensive thing i've had drop on my demon farm sold for 225mill. I think i prefer the latter. Or i can keep it and save 200mil. Between the saving 200mil or selling for 200mil, that's a big swing.

I am curious though about how fast someone could get tickets and make inf with those as opposed to salvage and recipe drops in PI. I do both but haven't kept data on it. I usually only get gold rolls, but that doesn't guarantee big inf items. I actually had my largest sell lately from a bronze roll. (ae wise) Heck, i've made more inf on rare salvage than gold rolls lately. (esp. with those 2 prophecies selling for 100mil. lol)

I pl all my toons to 22 so i can use 25 commons until 35 then i start on sets or i wait til i'm 50 and get 50 commons on toons i dont set. But i dual box. Back in the day i couldn't wait for someone to get a FF mish in the Hollows. lol.

I do not have a good vision or know how for base building. Are there any dangers in letting someone build a base for me? I know to raise the level for entering bins, and not to promote the builder. Anything other than that?

I do not have a large SG, its only 3 accounts but i have been able to upgrade the plot 2 times, get an 8 room tp'er, and all the storage allowed for my plot, salvage and enh. I'd like to keep the maximum storage bins and big tp room. Other than that, i just would love for someone to "create" a nice base look. Tech or arcane doesn't matter. Just a nice comfy theme. "Homey".

I can pay a reasonable amount so noone would be wasting time for someone else. I'd like to see a couple pics of their work first though.

i would have to say no. i actually help people in this game. just this week, i gave 30 mil to 2 diff people i didnt know. not to mention all the PLs to lowers in AE ove the past couple weeks... just go to justice and ask round bout Jess A. Bell. she's WELL known.

Let me add to what he said, HOURS of farming. lol. I've never gotten one on a TF. 8 man team, = less chances for drops to land on you.

I run 2 accounts and don't get but like 1 or 2 a week. Also, don't stay in AE. (if you do)
