Thanks guys, really! I'll start looking tomorrow and pricing things. Ill post my findings for input.
Of all days, it decides to crap out at GR! lol. -
My BM is fine. Ran it last night to PL my new elec troller.
-
Ok. It didnt work. lol. I guess its fried. Couple questions.
1) Will any mobo/cpu combo work on any pc? Vague question. i know. But if i go to newegg to get a new combo, what do i look for?
2) Is it as simple as unscrewing it from the case and installing the new one?
Any other tips are very much appreciated. -
Dood, youre awesome. Imma try to clean it real good and see what happens. Hopegfully its just dirty/hot or something crazy. lol. Well, at least i got a new card out of it. lol. Wish me luck.
-
Im going elec/kin. I can see 5 purple sets to use easy. Thats a ton of recharge. Good thing i have them crafted in a bin. All i gotta do is hit 50. Ill post a build when i get home. But im loving it so far. I see myself taking every primary!

Quote:HP Pavilion a6500f. Intel Pentium Dual Core Desktop Processor E2220 409mb 500GB HD Vista 64 bitThat beep code is telling you what's wrong; if you have a manual for the motherboard you can look up the POST codes in the troubleshooting section. Without knowing your motherboard manufacturer I can't tell you what that beep code means, it isn't one of the codes that applies to a motherboard I have a manual for and different manufacturers use different codes.
One thing that comes to mind is that you may have to disable the onboard graphics in order for it to use the PCI Express card; usually that's a jumper on the motherboard. Once again you'll need a manual to ID the jumper.
After some more research I find that Intel uses that code on at least one of their boards... I found it on Gateway's support page. On that particular board it indicates a memory controller failure possibly indicating bad RAM or just a fried motherboard. How many sticks of RAM do you have? If you have more than one you can try pulling them one at a time to see if your problem clears up.
I'm afraid that's about as much help as we can be without knowing more about your machine... who made it and what motherboard it has.
I looked at the website and seen a list of beep codes. Wouldnt you know, it dont have one for 1 long beep. It has like a short and a long. 2 shorts 1 long. 3 shorts, etc.. LOL. I'll try to do the memory sticks when i get off from work today. It has 2. If i can find a diagram showing how to disable the integrated card that might would fix it.
Sharker, yea i didnt think about that. First time i ever messed with it. It it goes out, a least i know how to swap i again. They had a 650w for 99 bucks. Maybe i should get that one.
Thanks again. -
Quote:LOL.It sure does, a 250 is barely enough to drive Mobo, CPU and drives. Possibly one of the extremely low end PCI express cards may run but there's no way you'll run anything approaching current specs on that PSU.
For comparison many newer CPU's eat ~100 watts all by themselves; adding in the drives, RAM and ancillary hardware doesn't leave a lot for extras, and a modern video card can pull over 100 watts. I haven't seen a reasonably competent video card in several years that doesn't want at LEAST 400 watts and many are wanting 600+.
With integrated graphics on the mobo and that small a PSU I'm going to guess you have a micro ATX system with a very small and compact case? Some of those are pretty proprietary with power and the case; you may not have room for a modern video card even if you had enough power to run it.
One question, I'm assuming this is a brand name machine, is it under warranty? Chances are that you'll be looking at significant expense in replacement components. If you can give us some of the tech specs of the machine we may be able to offer more advise.
Worst case scenario you'd need to replace power, mobo, CPU, RAM, vid card and case... you should be able to reuse the HD and DVD drive as well as your monitor, KB, mouse and speakers. All that would run ~$400-$700 depending on the hardware you choose.
Since the fans spin up that pretty well lets out the PSU as the problem leaving the top choice as the Mobo since the video card is integrated. But hey, this is a good excuse for an upgrade
Well, i went and got a 430w PSU from Best Buy for like 40 bucks. I got a Nvidea 9800gt 1024mb gddr3 card.
Came home and installed everything. Turned the power on (nothing caught on fire, lol) but it is still beeping. It's 1 long beep, pause, repeat.
The monitor says no input signal, then goes to sleep. Sounds like the issue is with the monitor not recieving signal from the pc but what would cause that?
Thanks again for all the help.
Whoever gets it back up will get PL's whenever you need them on Justice. -
The attacks sound like a cross between Super Strength and Electric Melee. Is this accurate or do they look totally different? I've yet to actually see them.
-
Well, the fans come on. But i found out that my vid card is integrated into the mobo. Now, i have no idea what to do about that. lol. Can i get a pci express card and place it into that slot and see what happens? Or do i have to get a whole new mobo? Thanks for the info.
Oh, as far as the power supply, its a 250watt. In case that helps determine what kind of card i can get. -
My pc froze so i turned the power off and when i went to turn it back on, all i get is a high pitch noise and no picture or anything on the monitor. Any idea as to what just went bad? Thanks.
(im on my 2nd pc atm, just in case anyone wonders how im posting this.) -
Just curious, do you have a 2nd account? If so, just throw a teammate on your team and bosses will automatically appear. If not, just run solo for all the drops.
-
How does this one look? This is what i was using in mids. Look ok or just bad? lol. Im new at /dark, so please be nice.

Well, i got my dark/fire to 40. Im working on getting the IO's for the build. I can't wait. I get some screen lag with /dark though. Think i may need a new vid card?
I have some IO's already like the end procs, and some Kin Coms. I think it has like 7 toggles atm. As to my surprise, end isnt hitting me very hard. I wish the Theft proc worked a little more often, lol.
Well, thanks for the post Dechs. Off to hit 50. -
Quote:Not really true. You click the glowie, but if you dont kill BM it dont end it. If you do both, it ends it. On the other hand, you can kill BM on each run as long as you dont click the glowie. But if the glowie is clicked once, it wont return anymore, so you cant kill BM ever again.out of the 3, Save Warrior Clan one is better, the outdoor BM one has 1 glowie and if you get someone click it....well you'll lose the mish whereas the the save warrior clan has 15 glowies.
I personally like the one without BM. It has a few more mobs in it, also. IMO, this is one of the best mishes to farm because of the defense of the mobs is kinda weak compared to Demons for example. They do stun, but if u smoke and flashfire first, tehn you should be fine. Get your rech up to where flashfire is up for each mob, and its cake.
As far as builds, i think 5 purp sets is about the most u can squeeze into it, but i only have 3 in both mine. With though, weave, and fire shield (no leaderships) i can solo +4s, but +2-3 w/bosses is about all you want without some debuff to speed it up. +2 is still semi fast w/bosses. Imo. -
Quote:Yea, basically. If thats what you want to think.Got it. People who use the market differently from you are the enemy.
Because we've never seen anyone around here criticize people for doing things differently.... oh, wait.
(Overlooking the fact that your comments make it clear you don't understand how the market works anway.)
And yea, im sure if 300 people are bidding and you have the only one and the last 5 sold for 20mil, youre going to list it for less. You may, but i don't believe it. It's probably going up for 30mil just to make a little bit extra because the 20mil isnt good enough. I know exactly how 'some' people use the market. -
Justice has a channel called Justice United. They run multiple TF's per day. They do a couple Hami's per week, also. A few of us farm. You're welcome to join and check it all out next week during the free transfers.

Quote:Read the WHOLE post before replying. The answer is in it. Don't just pick out something to try to be funny about.So...youre not going to sell anything? Didnt someone (F_F, I think) already math it out for you in the thread that got deleted?
Another thing, if youre going to do it by "farming alone", that means you cant sell your drops on the market, because that isnt farming.
Or do you mean something else?
Also, FF, gave a generic number. There's no way for that person to predict the future.Or did you mean something else? -
-
Ouch. Very nice of you to refund it.
-
Quote:LOL. A farming guide? I think everyone already knows how to farm. Im no master at it. I just do it. Pretty good, imo. (lol, jk)I see this circus repeatedly referred to as an experiment.
What, exactly, is the hypothesis here? What are we trying to determine?
Farming makes inf? Farming gets drops? Farming takes you to the inf cap? Things can be sold at WW for inf?
Indisputable facts aren't normally tested experimentally, but maybe I'm just missing the point.
Eryq, you love farming, you're thrilled with your results from farming, and you've piqued some others interest in improving their own farming techniques: why not just write a farming guide?
No real point. I see all kinds of info on how to make money via the market. I was just gonna see how long it took to hit the cap by farming alone. Yes, both are faster BUT if in some rare case that im not the only one that dont really "play the market", someone may see that they, too, can hit the cap just by playing the game. It seems that some new peeps think the only way to make inf is to "play the market", when thats not true.
Seebs, im not sure if i misinterpreted what you mean but ill try. You say we need more marketeers to get more on the market. I say we need more playing content or more drops. Wether it be farming or missions because marketeers themselves dont generate recipes. (i refer to 'marketeer' as the flippers/niche users. not people like me that just use WW to sell/buy recipes they need)
Ill just start over for the heck of it. Ive been pl'ing someone anyway and got my results all off after the last thread. -
I see what you guys are saying.
I can but wont start over. I emptied everything before i did the first time. Even listed how many of each drops i got and what they were of. It dont matter how many pics i provide, people can still fudge stuff. I could simply transfer purples from another toon to mine then take a pic of it. I have enough in a bin to do that for a week or better. Some things are just gonna come from trust and if my pics havent proved im not a liar to you, then dont look or reply any more. Easy.
1 Rag sold for 120mil
1 Rag sold for 190mil
1 Confuse sold for 15mil
1 LotG sold for 20mil
Like i said before. I use WW everyday. I don't have an issue with WW, just how people keep trying to squeeze every last drop of inf that they can out of people, knowing how few pieces already exist. Bottom line, we need more stuff on the market, imo.
You speak of credibility, but when people come in here listing ways to inflate rates or play with the market its all good. And if someone disagrees or has a different opinion, 'uh oh, circle the wagons, their trying to stop our income'.
And Emberly. It wasnt start because i got a purple drop. I get them all week, every week. How else would someone that don't flip, don't use niches, purple toons, make billions of inf? Buy it? Meh, please. I can't afford to spend more than the 30 amonth with 1 income, 2 kids while wife is in school. I transfered 1.7bil to wifes toon and started running farms. I can post a pic of her toon with the inf just mentinoed if youd like. -
Quote:Well, i didn't say "heres a guide", or "this is the best way to hit the cap". I said, i was going to see how fast i could hit the cap via farming. Not by using market schemes to make inf. Because not everyone uses niches to make money. (or maybe im the only one that doesn't, who knows)ours were offered in the the genuine sprit of exploration.
this one is offered in the same spirit as the original thread which was disappeared.
feel free to pay attention if you like, but there isn't much point to this kind of thing unless it's documented in a meaningful manner. "Here are some numbers alongside an unrelated screenshot which shoes nothing useful" isn't meaningful documentation.
Any post on a forum carries with it the history of the poster.
Whether the weight of that history helps or hinders the author is decided by their past actions.
I didn't know i was gonna be questioned so much about "pics or it didnt happen". Im an honest person as my previous pics have shown. Wether or not people like my opinions are beside the point. So, after i was, i posted pics of the purples that had dropped. Then the influence after they had sold. I guess i can take a pic in the mish as soon as one drops. Then in WW, then as it sells. I didnt think everyone wanted to see all that. Guess i was wrong. Color me informed.
Noone makes anyone reply if they dont like what i say they are free to move along... -
Big deal? I just said, go away. Its all good. Either way. I said what i had to. I was just showing a pic of the influence after that purples from the other screenice sold. Figure it was obvious, guess not. lol.
It may get deleted too, though. I dont care. Ill post another as i near teh cap from farming and selling the drops. Im curious, too, how long itll take. Then imma try it via AE. Id be willing to wager itll be alot faster thru AE though. -
Quote:Actually you can look up a couple posts. It's funny. EVERYONE else can make all the nasty comments, name calling, and everything else, BUT when i reply to it, it gets deleted or commented on by people like you.So I guess the initial resolution only lasted seven posts.
Who had seven in the pool?
I left a normal post. With a pic. And Nether, and Emberly left unneeded comments. When i reply, OH, LOOK... Eryq left a mean comment. And i'm the one called ignorant. Go figure....
