Farming: Which BM Map?

Hi Folks,

I'm trying to hone my Fire/Kin farming skills which are a bit weak at the mo. I'm a newb when it comes to farming and could use some advice.

I'm currently working Maria Jenkins "Save Warrior clan's village" mission. I see that Maria Jenkins has two other Battle Maiden missions; "Defeat Battle Maiden & her guards" and "Defeat Battle Maiden & her minions".

What's the difference between these missions? Is one of them better for farming?

Are there any non-AE missions which are better for a Fire/Kin than this?

cheers,
Archie

IIRC one is in a cave which you don't want (BM and guards ?), the other two are on the same outdoor map and either will do.

It's true. This game is NOT rocket surgery. - BillZBubba

Not really true. You click the glowie, but if you dont kill BM it dont end it. If you do both, it ends it. On the other hand, you can kill BM on each run as long as you dont click the glowie. But if the glowie is clicked once, it wont return anymore, so you cant kill BM ever again.

I personally like the one without BM. It has a few more mobs in it, also. IMO, this is one of the best mishes to farm because of the defense of the mobs is kinda weak compared to Demons for example. They do stun, but if u smoke and flashfire first, tehn you should be fine. Get your rech up to where flashfire is up for each mob, and its cake.

As far as builds, i think 5 purp sets is about the most u can squeeze into it, but i only have 3 in both mine. With though, weave, and fire shield (no leaderships) i can solo +4s, but +2-3 w/bosses is about all you want without some debuff to speed it up. +2 is still semi fast w/bosses. Imo.

You definitely don't want 'defeat battle maiden and her minions'. That one's in a cave map.

The other two are both on the same outdoor map, and are pretty much identical as far a farming goes. One has a bunch of glowies, and one has an AV, so neither is easy to accidentally end. There's not much better than those two maps to farm with a fire/kin.

Thanks for the info folks. It's much appreciated.

I'm currently running through it pretty smoothly at +2 or +3 without bosses. Maybe I'll give bosses a go. Some pool C/D random rares would be nice!

Just curious, do you have a 2nd account? If so, just throw a teammate on your team and bosses will automatically appear. If not, just run solo for all the drops.

I wouldn't worry about this... that entire mission arc is being redone for GR. I don't know if the map will remain consistant from holding it or if you'll cause a bug when you finally try to talk to your contact. Either way you might be in trouble come Tuesday, just a head's up.

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

This is sound advice but I've found legacy missions stay intact. My namesake still has the old Dreck mission (untimed) and my Fire Tanker, oddly, has a Kora Fruit mission in the Rikti Crash Site. Using the mission teleporter actually sends you to the old Crash Site, which is kinda fun from a touristy point of view and a decent place to hunt for purples.

To answer Archie, it's the one with the bombs to defuse.

Questions about the game, either side? /t @Neuronia or @Neuronium, with your queries!
168760: A Death in the Gish. 3 missions, 1-14. Easy to solo.

Champion, Pinnacle, Virtue Heroes

I think the old version will still be available thru Ouro.

Well the reason i said what i said is cause of the dumbness of some people you can get on team when you're farming that map, it's happened to me a few times (We've just killed BM and then some noob runs and clicks the glowie as you yell NO! in horror... and yes we'd mentioned several times NOT to click the damn thing). I prefer the save warrior one purely cause of the 15 glowies and if 1 or 2 get clicked it don't hurt too much.

Excuse the late reply but RL got in the way :/
