I would like to see more on the story of the Coralax. The falling of the great rock into the ocean that was alive and intelligent (read almost god like in power and mind) that gave birth to the ocean dwelling coralax... and maybe further explaination on why the living coral that was the world to the coralax went silent.
I would also like to see fleshed out more on the hints that seem to impart the idea that the stuff from space that is the origin of the coralax (the coral city), and the meteors from shivans as being related. There may well be a relation between these two entities in some vague way. The way they arrived on earth seems to be quite similiar.

Sadly I think that part of CoH lore was influenced by Eureka 7 just a tad. -
If heroes get more epic options then something will have to be done about villian patron limitations.

I'd say nonstop travel suppression on the flag bearer, and also suppress all teleport on them (no tp foe or recall). In return, perhaps consider a +hp, +def, +res compensation.
CTF would be pretty fun in coh. Either instanced in "long" maps (Steel, IP) or in a new pvp zone (hah).

I like this idea here. Another thing to think about is having the drop zone for the flag being bigger then force bubble or any other repel range. -
I would like to see this. One thing that I would like to add is that the flag carrier has to have some type of tp foe protection or high -tp defense that tohit buffs and set bonuses don't have a chance to be a factor off. Other then that this sounds great.

My issue is that if you want salvage you can get the salvage. But getting salvage is counter intuitive to teaming. If you team someone else gets your drop or the drop you would sell to buy your drop. At the same time the rate in which one IO's out their 50 is in a matter of days. So saving up for that day becomes difficult because of storage limitation unless you make mules.
So why team if you are producing your own goods. That is part of the reasons why cov has fewer teams. Because not everyone can afford to team because of drop rates.
Recipe drops from taskforces is another thing. The prices of the taskforce rares went up after the recent changes to how the mobs spawn. It made it so the production of the rares everyone wanted cranked out at a decent pace. I've done my share of Cap SF's. I've dumped a lot of stuff on the market just because none where listed because they sold for crap. The only way to make these taskforce drops more reasonable/accessible is give villians a Kattie Hannon like tf.
Nerfing power leveling only lowers the amount of influence people will have access to and will only drive prices up more.
The real issues isn't the market or the system but the rate in which we want to finish IO'ing out our toons versus the Dev's time table for that accomplishment. -
I applied to the website. I limited right now. I got some projects I'm working on live. But test server pvp ranked matches now and then could be fun.

Sadly the COH CCG game has been dead for a long while due to lack of Cryptic support with in game advantages for buying packs. I played the card game from its launch, even beta tested both sets, but Cryptic let AEG fend for themselves without giving any help. Go to AEG's website to find a list of the heroes they made. Funny thing is that AEG actually spoiled the idea of the invention system without anyone knowing. If you go through the card list you will see enhancements that are not training enhancements that boost duel attributes.

Positron and company, you need to look at the data coming back off this TF. There is something seriously wrong with that AV. If 8 characters can spend that much time and resources trying to overcome 1 AV without success there is a serious balance issue.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just like the Villain Respec, you better have the perfect team build, or you're not going to succeed.
I for one was apparently not on a perfect team build, because after 4 hours, we could not defeat the last two lvl54 AV's. Then people got pissed and quit. TF is over.
If only certain team-builds can complete the content you've designed in your game, then do me a favor and stick a huge frickin sign in IP listing what kind of team I should be on.
I9 is the only thing that kept me still paying after 3 years. Pets suck. Inventions are pretty cool. But another worthless timesink TF? You're losing me and my credit card quick.
[/ QUOTE ]
The perfect team thing no matter how much people try to down play it is becoming more of a reality. Lets look at it realistically.
You need someone to tank the AV's.
You need someone with -regen
You need someone with tohit buffs or debuffs (mako)
You need someone who can heal.
You need damage dealers.
People get stuck on mako because they do not have enough to hit buffs on the whole team to hit him. A rad alone is not enough. I've been on teams with a rad who couldn't take down mako because the majority of us did not have to hit buffs. You want range damage for ghost widower because of the aoe heal. But you can get around that if you tell your melee other then the tank to attack only when she is held. LR you need people to take down the flyer so you can taunt him away from the flyer. -
Putting -neg regen into posion gas arrow would be fitting to make it valuable. I would also agree that putting -regen in acid arrow would be overpowering to an extent. I think if they took away the to hit check for posion gass arrow then added the neg regen it would be a lot more balanced to sets like rad who get their 2 major debuffs on auto hit. To compensate the end cost needs to be uped a bit.

Is there an update to this guide?

Ok it has been a while. Here is my assesment of trick arrow as a fire/trick controller. Flash arrow sucks for debuffing. The -preception doesn't make up for its lack of debuff even stacked with stealth. Ice arrow is ok but didn't realy use it as a controller. Posion gas arrow wouldn't be that bad if -damage wasn't based off of base damage instead of total damage. The sleep affect is to rare. Acid Arrow is great. Glue Arrow needs to be on the scale of lingering radation in the area of slows. Oil slick arrow's burn duration needs to be longer and its debuff needs to be upped. Emp arrow is not consestent. Either it will drain all my endurence or stop my endurence recovery. It has been sort of wonky. Disruption arrow is fine as it is.
The lack of heal hurts the set in comparission with the original defender sets I like to call them. The set really needs -def to hit debuffs. That or have a higher grade debuffs.
The over all set has gotten better but it still needs to be improved. -
Hey I just want to pretend I'm a rikti hunter sometimes. I was wondering if there are any lvl 50 rikti missions mainly on an out door map. If so what contact gives it out? Thanks.

Name: Protectors of Neverland
Server: Champion
Faction- Heroes
Size- Large
Recruiting- open
Contacts- click here
PVP Preference: Base raids, some arena.
Protectors Of Neverland is constantly in the top 3 prestige earners on Champion server. There is a requirement of 4500 prestiege earned a day on average per month. We use ventrillo.
If you are going to base raid Ventrillo is a manditory. No specific builds are nessecary. You just have to be good at what you do. If any requirements seem to be to much we have space in our reserves. -
At the end of every video you do you need to have the clip of your character doing your evil laugh like you did on that COT video. Thats a better signature then just reading the laugh. The video showed that there are a good amount of villains on champion. Now we just need to see if we can get more of them to turn out on a regular basis to RV.

I'm doing the same. I'd rather have every edge i can get on my way to 50 then just slug it out. -
I think stack holds need to create reduced effectiveness for toggles eventually leading to the knocking off of the toggles.

BTW... I was the Thug MM dressed as a Longbow with the name "Longbow.".
The disguise saved my life a few times as heroes zoomed past me while I was unprepared for battle.
RV has one thing in which a MM can actually shine... controlling a captured pillbox and repelling invaders. A Pillbox is now my favorite pet.

Just replying to the last post to say:
STIIIIIIIIL canNOT zone into RV.
ANYother zone (including missions, bases, etc.), hero side AND villain side: roger-doger, zoning as normal, even with graphics at "we're lagging like a Beta event, Captain!"
However, even with all graphics set to "Warp 10, Captain! (aka "oooooooooooooooooo, featureless masses with warping dimensions" and "frame-rate is capped, but I can't see @#%$!"), fluff off, and every combination otherwise (optimal or sub-optimal): zoning bar goes to 1/5th, stops, computer freezes (graphics crash).
This is the same thing that happened in Beta...except that by setting graphics way down, I could still zone/dostuff. If having an Aegia is the only way to access the new content, color me extremely dissapointed. You guys KNOW Aegia is far from the only graphics card out there: make it work for other cards too!
And I have an NVidia, for those curious...

2. The spawning at 1 hp thing is almost completely negated if you have a self-heal.

I wonder how long before Defenders start staying behind at the base, patching up the wounded so they can get back to the war ASAP. I know a few people who might really like this idea...

I hope this doesn't become the norm. -
Went to play a squishy corrupter for a bit ice/rad. Still got owned bad by scrappers. Not as bad as my dom but still it sort of sucks.
-
This was tp foe gank central. What is funny is that most of the Melee toons just tp low hit point AT's and gank them then move.
Teaming doesn't mater. Why. By the time you call for help you are already dead. I tried several times to call for help on my dom and I just died while typing H.E.L.P. -
The tanker taunt and running thing is starting to become very annoying.
From the villian side the only way to live is to role a brute. Everything else seems to die way to fast. -
Went on test made several differnt grav/nrg doms. It didn't stop me from being wiped. Couldn't get domination up quick enough to be useful before the face plant.
-
What ever knockback and immobilize protection that should be present in grounded is not there. I got knocked around a lot tongiht in RV.
-
I played an elec/elec brute and had a ton of fun in RV. Here is what I noticed. Many of the better powers are way to far up in power selection teirs. I think I skiped a total of 2 powers from the set. The first was charged brawl and the other was the thunder clap. I was able to build fury pretty well. Jacobs ladder did ok. Not what I was expecting. I will say teleblasting was fun. It can't take the oppisiotion down but it can sting them pretty bad.
