    80% defense?

    My level 34 Claw/Elec Brute has 90% NRG Res with no IO's (yet).
  2. For Cirque is there a min level or are we talking about anyone (AT) and anything (level)?

  4. Do we even know what kind of game CoH2 will be?
    I mean will it be a brand new game with new ATs/powersets/powers, or a rehash of the existing ones with a better engine behind it?

    If its the former than Character transfers probably wont be possible. Assume (for arguments sake) that they remove Power Pools (say they give every one a +Regen boost at level 14 and a Recovery boost at 20). You now have 3 powers and x slots that are empty.
    Say your same toon as taken 2 Travel powers which are also removed and used in a different fasion (say at level 6 and 14 you get a bonus power pick of a travel only power in addition to your normal power pick).

    Id rather have my CoH account linked to my CoH2 account with 1 subscription fee that allows me to play both. Eventually CoH will be non-supported/updated but until then I want to be able to play both my new toons and my golden oldies without paying 2 subscription fee's

My first Crab build (pre-NR) had Swift + Mental Training + Run 1 slotted with level 35 Run IO's and she seemd to fly over the ground (Id never taken SS at that point but it was still ridiculously fun to run so damned fast ). When I then got Ninja Run and used my Crab I almost giggled in delight.

    I have since respec'd and taken Hurdle so rough/rocky/up-n-down areas are less of an issue (ie GV, Sharkhead) but I do miss the extreme speed at which I could run on flat ground.

    Didnt do the 2nd respec but will consider it for next week or another TF.

    tonight ill be running a 1st Hero Respec @ 8:30pm EST.

    Depending on the time it takes to finish I may then also run a 2nd Hero Respec.

    sorry for the lack of updates.

    My pc has been causing headaches with new RAM (2x2Gb) modules not performing at their rated speed (1066 @ 5-5-5-15 = BSOD).

    I am also now having overheating issues with my GPU and until Thursday 01/04 my Internet will be shaped. I will probably be on but not running/participating in anything (I tired on 64Kbps and rubberbanding made my attempts to help the team pathetic).

    Look forard to chatting in game and cant wait for my Internet to go back to ADSL2+ speeds (looking at increasing my cap).

    I agree that having to respec instead of starting as a Bane/Crab/Fort/NW is useless from certains PoV.

    Take my Bane for example.

    I start as a ranged Wolfspider where the only melee attack is Pummel (lvl 1) then Bayonet (lvl 12).
    Wolfspiders are 90% Ranged toons.
    I get to 24 then respec into my Melee Bane - my previous 24 levels of playstyle is now out the window as ive gone from a ranged toon to a melee toon.
    Now some may say "you dont HAVE to be a melee bane" but thats not the point. I want to be Melee based. Its not like im making the AT be someting its not meant to be (ie: Corr beign a Tank).

    If the process was changed so at level 1 you choose the branch you want they will still need to offer the "Arachnos Soldier:" and "Training and Gadgets" powersets along with the "Bane" or "Crab powersets.
    To clarify by chooing Bane I get access to the following powersets:
    "Arachnos Soldier"
    "Bane Spider Soldier"
    "Training and Gadgets"
    "Bane Spider Training"

    This would need to limit the dual-build/respecs also rechosing the Bane powers - I cant respec/dual-build from Bane to Crab. Unless the Dev Team wants this to be an added benefit of the VEAT - respec/dual build allows you to chose a different Branch of the same AT.

    Thoughts?

    I made a crab a while back and respecced her into a "Team Only" build that uses more endurance than a Whale does Plankton.

    Running all 3 TT and the main 3 Maneuvers toggles (not Vengance) plus Fort - OUCH.

    Having a Tank Crab would be awesome .

    Im looking at the Brute Crab build now. Im more of a Ranged Crab so will prob swap out some of the Melee attacks (will be using Sands of Mu if needed, but will prob keep 1 melee attack when on Master Runs).

  13. We seriously need to get this issue stickied.

    Almost every week or two someone asks about the backpack and it gets numerous answers - the same answers as the previous posts.

    Im not sure how to request a Sticky post but if someone does can they please get this done.
  14. Also the description of Cloacking Device [Bane] states it doesnt work with other "Concealment Powers".

    Im pretty sure the NW/Fort powers are the same.
  15. As an alternative way to apply Conditioning it could be added to the total after all modifiers are applied instead of the the BASE.


    Here are my calcualtions. Please tell me if I am applying the mods incorrectly:


    Conditioning 5% Recovery Mod
    --------------------------------------
    Add to Base
    Base 1.67%
    x Cond 1.05 = 1.75%

    Add to Base with 1 Modifier
    Base(w/Cond) 1.75% + Stam 0.44% (unslotted)
    =2.19%

    ~ with 2 Modifiers
    2.19% + 2.5% Recov Bns (IO)
    =2.24% (2.24475)

    ---------------------------------------
    Add to total
    Base 1.67%
    x Cond 1.05
    =1.75%

    Add to total after 1 modifier
    Base 1.67%
    + Stam 0.44% (unslotted)
    =2.11%
    x Cond 1.05
    =2.21% (2.2155)


    ~ after 2 modifiers
    Base 1.67%
    + Stam 0.44% (unslotted)
    =2.11%
    + 2.5% Recov Bns (IO)
    =2.16% (2.16275)
    x Cond 1.05
    = 2.27% (2.2708875)
    ------------------------------------

    Applying it the to Total after all modifiers are applied means a small increase over the current method that gets bigger the more Modifiers you have.

    Dont know what kind of ingame affect this change would actually have.
  16. No my Bane has no Bank/Mayhem bonuses or Accolades (got from 1-22 during dbl xp) and 22-24 during regular/epic mishes.

    I always understood that the BASE was meant to be higher rather than an additional value (ie NOT: Base + Cond + Stam + ....).
    But Base (1.67%) * Cond (1.05 [a 5% boost]) = 1.75%

    Where does 1.84% come from? 1.84% is a 10% boot over 1.67%.
  18. Well the Monday Manticore TF didnt start at all.

    No one wanted to join - not sure if it was becasue ppl were scared the game would go down for end of Dbl Xp maint or something else.

    So moving forward I do realise it is difficult to gather 7 ppl for a TF so to make things a bit easier I am proposing we run the Numina TFas it only requires 4 members at 35+

    Recovery Rate 2.19%
    a) Base 1.84%
    b) Stamina 0.44%

    a + b = 2.28%

    So either the Total Calculator is broken (showing incorrect data), or the Total is correct but the Base value used is not including the Conditioning bonus.

    Sent off a Bug report.

  21. I have seen a few threads that state the VEAT Inherent "Conditioning" was broken in regards to the Recovery Bns.

    I have not been able to find anything saying that it has been fixed (admittedly soemtimes my Search-Fu is weak so I may have missed it).

    Can anyone confirm if it is still a problem or has been fixed?

    Ill be on both days but will be having a half day Sunday due to RL, then prob back on again late Sunday night.

    Running both Blue and Red toons - get quite a few up to 40-45ish so I can still do the end game content without rushing it.

    with this weekend being a DBL XP weekend (starting at 4am Saturday morning) are there any plans to run teams on Justice?

    Also does anyone know if the AE will be granting dbl xp? (I doubt dbl tickets).

    What about a Rikti Raid or some respecs or TF/SF?

    Whats the best option in regards to XP rewards?

  24. Hi all,
    this is a continuation of the "Monday night is Hero night" thread.
    Reason for the change is it is run by the new S.E.N.T.I.N.E.L SuperGroup and maintains the naming scheme.

    Every Monday night at 8:30 NSW time I plan on running Blue side Task Forces, Respecs, GM Hunts, Badge Hunts, etc.
    I am fairly new to running events so I do not have memorized what each TF needs for completion or how long they generaly take - but you learn best by doing correct

    If anyone has any requests you can ingame email/tell me via @Metacore (ie: if you want one of your toons to get the Freedom Force Accolade that needs all 6 Hero TF, or you want to do a specific GM hunt).

    I am open to anything pretty much. If you have a certain mission arc comming up that you know will be difficult and want help we can advertise via here for others to join.

    I run team friendly sessions.
    It is everyones right to design/use their characters as THEY WANT TO as long as they dont get the team killed all the time.
    If a Crab doesn't take TT:M that is their choice (I think its a bad choice but it is THEIR CHARACTER so they can do WHAT THEY WANT).

    Anyone who insults another team member will be KICKED and not invited to the team again unless they apologise. If the insult is severe - have a good life on CoH and dont expect another invite.

    If you have a problem with someone on the team address either them or myself directly.
    Hearing after the fact that someone wasnt happy and was complaining to other people shows the immaturity of that person - deal with the problem, dont whinge about it after the fact.

    This is my first and ONLY warning about this.

    Now that thats been said lets all go and have some fun

    Not everyone has that kind of money but can afford "normal" IO sets .
