Question about the Ninja Run power.

I was just wondering if with Hurdle and Swift from Fitness and then the one power from the arachnos VEATs that is +speed, could you get some sort of gimped super jumb/super speed without sacrafising to much slots?

yup, a;though I'd suggest only taking hurdle and bunny hopping where you wish to go. The quickness power in super reflexes also make ninja run a mini super jump.

The more people I meet, the more I'm beginning to root for the zombies.

I primarily use ninja run+swift+hurdle to get my toons around.

At one time I think someone posted movement numbers around different combinations with ninja run but, damned if I can find it now.

Ninja Run + hurdle is what I'm using as a travel power on a lot of my characters now. Though you don't jump as high as SJ, the speed is pretty much around the same. Hurdle+Ninja Run gets you about as fast as one slotted Super Jump (sans Hurdle.)

Yes, that is exactly what you get. Works fine.

My scrapper doesn't need an AoE. She IS an AoE.

If your willing to sacrifice Veat for Eat.
Warshades nebulous form stacks with both ninja run and the jump pack.
Jumpspeed capped flight with flips.

Ninja Run, with 3x slotted Swift & Hurdle, gets you (in the early 30s) around 51mph running, 62mph jumping (from using my Jump Pack, I see that it's generally 3-4mph lower than my jump speed cap), and 43ft jump height.

The only real problems with Ninja Run are that you have nowhere near the air control as with Super Jump or Combat Jumping, nor the excellent Stealth component of Super Speed, so will tend to get tagged a lot more as you're hopping or running around, which can be dangerous.

I have a VEAT character with mental training, swift, hurdle, and sprint slotted up decently, plus an occasional IO set bonus for run or movement speed. The character can run 36 mph non-sprint, 50 mph in sprint, and 71 mph in Ninja run. The price is high -- it's a theme build, but it's also very fun to travel around with.

My first Crab build (pre-NR) had Swift + Mental Training + Run 1 slotted with level 35 Run IO's and she seemd to fly over the ground (Id never taken SS at that point but it was still ridiculously fun to run so damned fast ). When I then got Ninja Run and used my Crab I almost giggled in delight.

I have since respec'd and taken Hurdle so rough/rocky/up-n-down areas are less of an issue (ie GV, Sharkhead) but I do miss the extreme speed at which I could run on flat ground.
