I personally would like to thank you for the championing of mez protection for khelds that you have done. I remember many times we discussed HEATS and VEATS and the amazing lack of any mez protection for HEATS while VEATS get it out the wazoo.

It depends on what your role is for the team really.
Stealther = get it. its your stealth *duh* and its better than stealth from concealment.
Humanformer = If you skip this your crazy. Its the beginnings of your meager defenses and every scrap counts.
Triformer who cant be bothered to help the team by stealthing when he already has an inherent tp = ... I think that summed it up really.
Get it.
Learn to live with the fact that it obscures your costume.
Learn to love how it looks with the other toggles -

Took some advice from Sylas. He was totally right about the dam/end revisions.

You've got great recharge which is awesome for a WS but I'd also do a lot of things differently.
You've got the Glad Armor def proc (which is absurdly expensive), the Steadfast def proc and Maneuvers, but you've only actually gotten low-medium amounts of defense. If you want to get some defense, I'd shoot for 32% either s/l or some positionals, that way you can softcap any time you want with a small purple inspiration.

Your endurance. As I said before GW is using an absolute boatload, especially since at your level of recharge you can use it every 4 seconds. Even though you have an endurance 'I win' button in Stygian Circle, I would recommend you properly slot your main attacks so that you're less reliant on it. What are you gonna do for endurance in AV fights for example? The minions, lts and bosses all die pretty fast, leaving you with little corpse fodder.

Think about it. Inky Aspect is a level 28 power. Mag 2 stun aura. That means by 28 you can permastun bosses.
Add in that Gravitic Emanation is level 26 and all...
Roll 2 humanform warshades and enjoy the rollercoaster. -

Short answer to the OP question: Yes. Def is worth it on a humanform warshade, however softcap is overkill, and I would suggest numbers around 19-20% def range.
Does not sound like a lot, but when paired with 85% res to all it makes a world of difference.
I would highly recommend picking up dark extraction as was already pointed out, and would argue that one of the features of warshades that puts them ahead of peacebringers in PvE is the pet.
Sunless mire transfers over to pets, and you can really see a huge difference in damage with even one out. -

Having played this build extensively with only regular IOs at the moment (at level 49), I do think getting some ranged and melee defense would really be nice. If I could keep my global recharge up, perma eclipse and get melee def near 30% and ranged in the 20's%...that might really be a nice indestructable build. I took my old builds down b/c that is what I am working out at the moment. I have found ways to get the def up but am running into slotting issues as you can imagine.

Once I get mids i'll post a little more on this topic, but imho your recharge times are both waaaay too low. 87% will be enough to give you perma-eclipse, but a humanformer can get perma-hasten and near perma-mire if you work at it hard enough.
Also please include defense numbers.
Resistance does not mean much from sets... its the defenses that count. -

Thats 20x3=60-15.6=44.4 on three mobs 64.4 on four mobs, 84.4 on 5 mobs and finaly 104.4 or capped on 6 mobs, endurance reduction on your heal set will probably let you drop the last mob and cap on 5.
Slotting for endurance mod I feel is the much better choice but hey, i'm also the one who thinks slotting the only heavy hitter attack in human form with a hold set is crazy so make your own choices.
I've had no problems with doctored wounds. The bonus to recharge to me is worth the lack of end recovery slotted in a skill that already gives a crap ton of endurance per activation.
