Your second (and third if you're a level 50 Incarnate) builds will remain at level 1 until you first switch to them. At that time you may then level them up to match your first build. It's basically two different version of the same character. Both have the same amount of xp but most actually be leveled up and equipped separately. You can safely ignore builds if you so choose.

I'm the new guy they mentioned in the mid 20's. I'm still trying to catch up in levels myself and would be more than pleased to team up with you some time. Just join the channel (Blue Sheild or bluesheild, can't remember which) and I'll catch you when you're on some time if you're interested.

Same problem as last week, not high enough level. Feel free to go without me though.
Work was crazy last week and I just didn't get to the play the game much, so I only got him to level 22. You need 35 for Cimerora. -
I think this would be great for people working different shifts and unable to play at nights, since they could find a European server where those hours work, and vise versa. Actually, I expect this will trigger some server or another to become the daytime server while the other remain the nighttime servers, possibly the ones that are currently English European, but who can say.

In particular the Midnight Dodger What Dodges at Midnight badge is not so easy to get. I've yet to succeed at that one.

I did an MO run tonight(although not on purpose, we don't see any reason to use the drones) and did exactly the same thing, flew up their, flew right back. Someone in my group dashes up and back nearly every time we play, and it actually seems to improve our chances of finishing the MO, because it keep the enemy from getting up to where the drones are.
And if that's the only badge they failed, they just need to run the first mish again, then they can safely quite once they complete the mission. I had a toon get the MO by completing only the first mish the other day. I did finish the tf, but I already had the MO badge after the first mission. -

Subject: Report--Project K-9 Evolved
While you have received a few reports and updates here and there, I am taking this opportunity to provide an overview of the project and its prototype test subject. As requested, I'm sending this information to Blue Shield as well. I hope they find it useful in preparing for their newest member.
K-9 officers, as you know, have been in use in Paragon City since the 1940's. The last couple of decades, however, has seen both a marked decrease in K-9 effectivness and a dramatic increase K-9 casualties in Paragon city. To be frank, even the best trained police dog is no match for a supercriminal. Even seemingly mundane crimes can turn into superpowered ones in a moment's notice. Indeed, that is exactly what happened to our test subject and his handler when a routine drug investigation turned into a deadly encounter with a gang of Trolls. I'm sure your files are more than adequate to describe what happened. The fact that the subject, then known as Magnet, survived long enough to begin genetic grafting in the first place is itself both a minor miracle and a testament to his superb physical conditioning.
But now, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. This project was begun to create a new breed of police dog able to be as useful against the supercriminal as the normal dog is against the mundane ones.
Basically what we did was to perform a serious of genetic grafts to artificially accelerate genetic development. In essence, we forcibly evolved him to a what a dog could be in 20 or 40 thousands years. The results weren't entirely predictable, but will serve as a template for future evolved canines. We couldn't control the results completely, but we can duplicate them.
The results were enhanced physical stamina speed, and strength--not to any superhuman level, but still significant--a somewhat more humanoid body shape, giving him hands and the ability to walk on two legs, although he's more comfortable on four, and greatly enhanced intelligence--roughly the level of a 8-10 year old child--allowing him to act independently. Smelling and hearing we also greatly improved.
To those abilities we added a few cybernetic upgrades. Artificial claws were implanted in his hands which are capable of piercing most forms of armor and have a paralytic agent to aid in safely subduing suspects. He has been extensively trained their use and is in no danger of accidentally using them to inflict lethal force.
His eyes have been improved with corneal implants to improve his typically poor canine eyesight, which was actually made worse through the genetic grafting. We were able to give him the ability to see in full color, as well as 20/30 vision.
Lastly, we implanted an artificial voicebox to allow him to speak normally, as his mouth and lip shape and natural voice were unable to properly form words.
In tests, he has proven quite satisfactory and has already been put to work tracking down missing persons and wanted criminals on his own in between training schedules.
I will continue checking up on his progress. Be sure to email me with any questions you might have. -
You already get shards from ANY level 50 content as it is, so no grinding required there either. Even the NoTW comes from different tf ever week, so no grinding there either, at least not once everyone catches up with all their old 50's. So nope, no grinding required for crafting at all. I've gotten a toon recently the Alpha slot, then gotten on new boost every time he's played. That one common, one uncommon, and one rare from running a grand total of 3 tfs, using only the shards from those tfs and the salvage at the end of it, and no Grai matter.
That's not grinding. -
While this has nothing at all to do with the animal pack, I have a Rady-Ant.
One of the guys I play with has a toon named Flankenstein. -
Excellent. I will plan on spending some time next weekend leveling him up, at least to level 10, perhaps a bit higher if possible. I'll also hope to have an IC introduction up before Tuesday. 6:30 EST if I read right, is that correct? See you all there.

Hey, I'm assuming this group is still around. Do you have room for any new people? I've been interested in doing rp for a while, and this group in particular and the new animal pack has inspired an idea that would be perfect.
The character would be K-9 Evolved, a police K-9 genetically and cybernetically enhanced. He'd be about as smart as a 6-10 year old, can talk, and is able to act more independently than a regular dog, but still just a smarter more humanoid dog. I'd even be fine with someone rping being his handler, but it isn't really necessary as he's smart enough to be able to do without one. Claws/wp scrapper was what I had in mind.
The thing is, he'd be a new toon, so not sure if you'd like that or not, or even if you're even interested in anyone new. If you're interested though, I'd love to join you. -
A mastermind's pets don't dissappear either. I was soloing mine when I got monkeyed, and kept right on going through the mission. Barely slowed me down.

There's also a sizable xp bonus for characters not at 50. On the Air Pirates one last night I got like 22,000 bonus xp because of it being the Strike Target.
-
So because 50's want shards, lowbies shouldn't be allowed to get in on the target action and the huge xp bonus it grants? Besides, if you need shards and already have the notices you need then, duh, do a high level tf that will give you shards. People are still running those. I saw plenty of them being organized on the channels last night.
Those of use who want to play some lowbies really appreciate getting a tf/sf where they can take their toons for some xp. -
One of the guys I play with got his 50th 50 a couple of months ago. I think he's up to like 55 now.
I've only played a year, but I have 4 50s, one in the high 30s and about 5 zillion 25 or below. And I keep coming up with new toon ideas. I just can't help myself. . . -
Well, I certainly hope I never end up playing with kotchie.
Now if he had refused to play with them the second time around, or kick them right away, that is one thing, but waiting until the tf is over and they have done all the work, then kicking them off so they don't get the rewards? How were they to know who he was? Did they even know that they had offended him the first time? I mean, come on, they did the tf, played through the whole thing, and kotch even admitted it was a good run, so now he's going to grief them on the basis of some minor past offense?
Bad, bad form. I hope they petition the admins and get there rewards reinstated. -
Happened to me last night, only I didn't realize it until after the zone had finished loading. Took me a second to realize what must have happened. I was able to carefully click around it the second time, but it definitely shouldn't be allowed.

And what, pray tell, are you basing that notion on? All recent issues and many patches have included alterations to AE, including new AE content. Unless development suddenly stopped right after I19, it's still being worked on.

Here's another way to look at it. Think rule of 3.
If you already have 3 enchancments of a given type in most of the powers that can use it, then the Alpha of that type will do nothing for you, at least until you get into rares.
Since damaging powers usually get 3 reds, this mean Musculature is not likely to do much for you unless you purposely only put 2 reds into attacks in order to get more use out of it. If you use IO's then you're pretty much maxed out for the IO'd attacks already.
That's why Cardiac usually makes such a big difference. Nearly every power can take blues and there are likely to be a great many of them without 3 blues, so that will always make a difference. Ditto on the other two. -
I don't think there's any good answer. Even unlikely sounding combos can work well depending on the builds involved and the players behind them. My rad/rad corr did a pretty effect duo with a defender the other day, for instance. I would say experiment with a couple of things until you find something that works or you.

Freedom Meet and Greet this weekend. See this thread for more details.

Actually my guess would be what happens already with lower level content.
Once you go far enough along the Incarnate path, you will either outlevel level 50 content, or the level shifts with simply make it harder. If you play current level 50 content, you may find yourself stripped of your powers, similar to the current exemplar system. -
Be sure to join the Mentor Project channel, N P C (include the spaces) You can ask any question you like there. Nothing is too dumb or too basic.
-
You do realize that the new tfs only have a -4 level penalty of your Alpha slot is not yet filled? If it is filled, there is no penalty.
-
No, what it does is cause all your KM attack powers to put a buff on you whenever you use them for a few seconds. In other words, you won't actually receive any benefit unless you are attacking using KM powers only. The more attacks you make, the more buffs you will get, up to 5 stacking buffs at a time.
