Which server is the most "chaotic"? Noob question yes well I'm a noob lol. I'm I'm pretty sloppy myself...not a "hardcore" gamer exactly, plus i like the entertainment of a more chaotic server. Just name the first pick that pops into your head.

Freedom.

I wouldn't say Freedom is the sloppiest. The most obnoxious NA server sure.

They don't call it Freedumb for nothing. freedom is one of the most populous servers, and its crazy. If you join the global channels you can find plenty of good TF's/SF's and the like, so its not unproductive per se. But if you want chaos just waltz into Atlas Park and listen to broadcast for 10 seconds. I just encourage you not to get sucked into the AE exploits, which is what you'll find advertised the most there.

I'd vote for Freedom too. I think every server has a core of very good players, but Freedom has an awful lot of less-than-very-good players, in my experience.

I've been playing on Justice the last week... a Justice MS raid > a Virtue MS raid, which is > than the Freedom MS raids I've experienced by a good margine. I got over 700 vanguard merits tonight in an MS raid, some people got 800... I got 500 per raid in two previous raids this week. I've been in a lot of Virtue raids and a few Freedom raids and I never saw that many merits in one raid before. In fact, one guy in my SG who told me that was possible a few months ago, I basically laughed at him. >.>

The Freedom MS raids I've been on were VERY chaotic, although i'm sure the have some good raids too when you have more of the top players present.

1st off. Welcome to the City!

2nd off. Paragonwiki.com will be your friend

3rd off. Mid's Hero builder is a very useful program

That's enough off's for one post.

As far as 'sloppy' servers go, I'd imagine it would be the most populated by default. Sure you'll have a great deal of Min/Max types, but you'll also have a greater selection of button mashers.

Virtue does tend to take itself a bit seriously at times.
Infinity is middle ground, not overly populated, not sparse.

One of the great things about this game though, you are actually encouraged to roll as many alts as possible. I'd advise you to roll up a toon on a few servers. That way you can find your home server by personal feel rather than outsider opinion!

Also, check your PM's

Maestro Mavius - Infinity
Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard

If you're going for chaotic rather than "poor player", I'd say Pinnacle. Whether it's a level 50 facing off against Hellions or a level 1 seeing Hamidon you can expect them to all say the same thing, "Here, hold my beer. I got this."

"Mastermind Pets operate...differently, and aren't as easily fixed. Especially the Bruiser. I want to take him out behind the woodshed and pull an "old yeller" on him at times." - Castle

I'd tend to agree with Freedom, my impression is that there its so easy to get on teams just using Broadcast that its pretty easy to "coast" up to 50 on teams without learning a lot about how your or other powersets work. I think there is also some self reinforcement, whereby people do that using fairly straightforward missions (paper/radio missions, now maybe Tips, even ignoring AE abuses), so they learn mainly the small set of content you need for that. Thus you can get people with multiple 50s who have never learned how (or when) to "pull", how aggro works, communication between teammates, or a lot of other basic game concepts you need for tougher content.

On smaller servers, if you get a reputation as a bad player, you start finding the set of people you can team with gets pretty small, especially with the star labeling system, so it probably drives those players away from smaller servers.

Thanks for all of the help and answers! I tried playing on Freedom and a few other ones yesterday and today, and I think I'm going to use another server since I hadn't taken the lag into account, lol. I'm re-rolling on Infinity right now and I think that will be my main server...so if you see "Snafu Tofu" running around, it's me

I've played a bit on Infinity, it's where my SG established a redside group. We didn't do a lot of PuG'ing but I don't remember any really bad teammates there, you'll probably find a lot of good people on Infinity.

Actually the only place I've run across very many rude or obnoxious players is Freedom; I can attest that they're quite rare on Guardian and I only remember one on Pinnacle, the two servers I play on the most. In the course of leveling one character to 25 on Freedom I added 5 players to my ignore list and found several others who were annoying, but not quite ignore-worthy.

I just checked my little black book of bad/abusive/rude players I've encountered; I've been on Guardian for over 6 years and run into 3 of them... I've played one character 1-25 on Freedom and run into 5. Now I've run into lots of unskilled players of course and plenty of generally poor ones but the truly bad are quite rare on most servers. Lack of skill is something all of us had to deal with when we were new and it's generally correctable. Poor play is just something you deal with, and ALL of us are occasionally guilty of it, even 6+ year veterans can make stupid mistakes and play poorly from time to time.

So don't worry so much about your inexperience, all of us were in that position at one time and most of us are perfectly willing to help anyone new to the game. Most of us aren't generally hardcore about most things. Yeah, there are challenges in the game for hardcore players but most of the game doesn't need that level of ability.

Always keep in mind that this is a game... it's supposed to be fun! If you're not having fun with something or don't understand something then by all means ask, we seldom bite around here.
