I am starting to re-bookmark/favorite everything right now, hope I can find all of the old ones I found so useful...
-
I am the type of person who believes change is always bad, but I am sure that I will get used to it eventually, it is bright and shiney, but the old forums felt more reliable...

I am convinced that someone, possibly a former studio involved with the game, is sending schedules of 2XP weekends to my family members. Last time it was my father-in-law coming to stay for a week, and this time not only is my father coming out of the blue, but my sister-in-law and her husband are coming.
Now my wife completely supports my playing the game, but when family is here she doesn't like me to be anti-social
I just want to know who sent the sechedule out to them..lol
That is why I think they should give out tokens for your toons that you click and you get 24 hours of double XP kind of like the debt protection present from a while back
Ok done ranting, going to try to cancel all plane flights out of Denver and Jacksonville for the next seven days...lol -
awesome, thanks for posting those Vids...

FYI, those are pretty big honkin' swords too. My DB stalker has them, but she's just a little 5 foot six thing and make her look a little unbalanced. Good thing I didn't i use the chest slider on her much or she'd look really top heavy.

hehe top heavy....wait what is this topic about? -

Use Ouroboros and practice at various lower levels and you can get the hang of it and work your way back up.
And you can earn merits while you learn.
[/ QUOTE ]
good call I always forget about Ouroboros as anything other than a quick way to travel between certain zones
[/ QUOTE ] This is a problem I notice more and more recently. New players think the Ouro Portal is a travel power and they end up not knowing what Ouro really is, and they don't even know how to get places without it.
I've seen players use Ouro to get to a zone they could have gotten to using the train not 100 yds away. For a hazard zone, they might use the Ouro to get closer to the zone, when they could have used the base portal right next to them to go directly there.
I see in IP:
[Broadcast] Player1: How do I get to Kings Row? (for the Rikti Invasion that was announced)
[Broadcast] Player2: Take Ouro to Atlas Park, then Take the Yellow Line to Kings
[Broadcast] Player3: Does your SG base have teleporters? The portal is near the Green Line.
[Broadcast] Me: Check the map. There is a tunnel on the East wall that leads directly to Kings. Its not far from the Tailor.
[Broadcast] Player2: I've never heard of a tunnel system. Just take Ouro. It's faster.
I LoL'd

These are my favorite stories,
I used Ouroboros when it first came out with one of my Mains but haven't been back for anything other than travel, I use it to get from PI to Talos to sell or pretty much anywhere to Talos to sell it is just extremely convenient -

yeah problem was not the right term, I just avoid teaming for now until I get used to him, I don't want to be "that guy"
don't get me wrong I love Lvl pacting, I just should have switched back and forth between the two better
and I always take a while deciding how to position my powers in the power trays, my current system is to keep Toggles in tray 3, Travel, and secondary powers in Tray 2
and attacks or most commonly used powers in Tray 1 -
Sorry if I was unclear, I was just curious if anyone had a problem of being in a leveling pact and leveling up one toon so fast and not playing the second so they were left with a new high level toon they have never played,
I understand it is not a problem for most people that are really good at the game but I have a Stone Tank at Level 40 that I have not ever played and a level 30 somethin Peacebringer that I have never played...Guess I shouldnt have said problem probably not the right term -
Everyone already gave the right answer, just be really careful I got-got a long time ago in a Inf transfer, not a alot of money, but I had someone who was a level 50 and I thought "they are to high to wanna steal my inf", so I gave them the Inf, logged off, logged back on initiated a trade with them and they gave me about half of what I traded with them and told me it was Taxed, so just be careful....
-
First off I have two accounts because I often dual Box, so I have several toons in a level pact so my Alt-itis will help out other characters of mine level, anyways here is my problem....
I have a level 40 Spine/Regen Scrapper(my first time trying him) who I fell in love with and have played pretty much only him for the last several weeks, and he is in a leveling pact with a Stone Tanker who I haven't played since level 10, so now I finally went back to play my Stone Tanker and I feel like I have no idea how to play with him because I didnt go through the process of leveling him and really learning the build....
So this is how it must feel to get PL'd or AE'd(not sure what it is called but sounds good) and have a toon that high, I know I will learn him pretty quickly but I am a little worried to join teams with him because I don't want to be a stone Tank who cant tank, so I guess I will solo for a while, not to mention I have very few enhancements on him so far so I need to do some Inf Transfer from the Scrapper to him
I also have a Fire/Kin pacted with a Peacebringer, and I have mainly played the Fire/Kin so I have no idea how to play the PB past about level 12, though I did play a WS to level 18...and they are one of the harder ATs to play
So after my Novel/Wall-O-Text, anyone else have this issue, just curious -

These people who've only ever played AE have had a greater selection of content than us old-schoolers ever had.
[/ QUOTE ]
More disjointed than any content we ever played, and they have no clue about the 'world' in which they're playing.
[ QUOTE ]
I haven't run most of the Task Forces in game, but I don't feel like I'm short of stuff to do. Some people only play Melee classes, or only play certain types of Defenders. Some people never solo. Everyone limits their play experience in some way.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's a difference between 'limiting' and 'crippling.'
Personally, I've got to agree with "Set the lower limit at level 10." There's at least a gap there where they'll have to get out of the sewers and learn how to do things like, oh, *find* missions.
Which, IMHO, is also a call for more (official, new/refreshed) lower level content. Who knows, maybe they'll get drawn into some of the *official* story and learn there are actually... I don't know, zones?
[/ QUOTE ]
Wasn't there a recent (within the past few months) dev interview where they said that because the AE offers limitless content that they weren't going to focus on new contacts/missions but rather on task forces and other things?
I'm not endorsing that idea as I disagree with it, but I'm pretty sure that's what I read. And was as disappointed then as I am now.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think I remember that being said, and it sounds great, I do like having the option to play the MA/AE content instead of dealing with certain story Arcs, but I would probably not appreciate the game as much had I not been through all of the other great zones in the game, everyone remembers the first time they went to (insert your favorite zone here) and said wow this is cool, I loved Striga, Croatoa and first time I went to the Rikti War Zone or to Creys Folly and a couple others, and part of the appeal to the game is the large variety of different Enemy groups with full backstory's
The AE adds to that greatly, but I do hope that they get out and check out other parts of the game, and in turn hopefully enjoy and stay with the game as long as I have... -
I think you guys need to lay off, my main(ice/storm troller) has been soloed by several AVs in less than a minute..........ohhhhh wait did I get lexdysic when reading the earlier posts? sorry dyslexicia is killing me today!!!!

wow we didnt take long to find something wrong with another cool issue

Thank you Wolfwood82. For a minute there I was worried I was the only person who read it right the first time.

I don't get it. It seemed pretty clear to me. Guess people will read what they want to read, though.
[/ QUOTE ]
I read it too quickly, I was skimming through and had to jump back and reread, it is very clearly stated, I blame my New Mexico High school education -
I thought it meant they could choose from any archetype power, had to read it a couple times, glad it wasn't what I thought
I am really excited for this issue -
3 slot rest, NICE, and I assume you have brawl 6 slotted mainly with recharge and end reduction, if not make it happen

This is the correct reply, there is no way that you are serious, a Tank with only 3 defensive powers, VERY funny, I am not very good with making great builds but even I know that this is garbage with a capital G.A.R.B.A.G.E.
Edit: I ran through the post again and just now figured out that you were actually kidding and I missed the joke because of all the recent MA level 50s.....so I will go ahead and do a real facepalm...ok carry on all -

I was trying to find a guide relating to tickets within the MA system, I have a level 25 that is getting close to the ticket cap(around 8000 right now i think) I was wondering what the best thing to spend it on would be
I know for my level 50 setting the level to 39 and getting the gold class recipe is the most lucrative, but I do not know what to do for lower level toons
Also is there a good "ticket use" guide? Thanks in advance
also it takes a long time for me to get tickets because I go back and forth between AE and regular game, so I dont come up up with a lot of tickets very often which is why I want to know the best way to spend them.. -
Well I am not gonna pile on to much but wow, PL city, but there is still hope if you are here asking quetsions. Take everyone heres advice and roll an alt so you can play through the first five to ten levels to get a fee for the game and then maybe go back to your level 50 and start working on your slotting and enhacements
You will learn alot in the tutorial and first few levels, and then you will have some knowledge to go back to your level 50 or do like many of us do, create a new hero/villain and play for a while and then create another and another, and you develop what we call alt-itis, very powerful disease in the CoX community affecting most of the population with no real cure.... -
sadly I have never been there, but I am actually logging on to go there now, heard about it several times, and always say yeah I will go there next week, so I am actually going to finally do it though my troller will prob faceplant a few times..

Then you don't team with those people.
Don't deliberately make the game non-fun for yourself.
Do what you need to do to have fun in this game and let others do what they need to do to have fun.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, yes, because everyone who goes 1-50 in AE has a glowing icon next to their name that says "AE Baby." How silly of us all to miss that!
Oh, wait, there's not?
So, pray tell, short of being psychic....
[/ QUOTE ]
Look at the info on a toon and then look at their badges. If they're all AE with absolutely no vet badges, then it's a pretty sure bet these toons will suck.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not always true I have a new account that has very few badges so far, but my main account has several years of badges on it(not badge hunting just whatever I happen to get)
