  1. Union. First server I played on when EU CoH went retail. 48 character slots. 7 years. Names I wouldn't get on Virtue.

If they ever got rid of Union, I would never return to this game. As it stands, I could do with some more character slots on Union, what with Nature Affinity, Bio Armour and Water Blast coming soon.

I've not played much in the past few months. I only logged on today to check the event out and found my choice of character to be impacted by being exemped to the point where two of his most useful offensive abilities are locked.

If it had been more clear in mentioning it, I would have enjoyed it more on a character that functions better in that level range.

(Also, I've never run Drowning in Blood.)
  3. Very disappointing, really. Logged in all ready to go with my team of 4, 3 of us level 50, one level 37.

In the first mission, it started as soon as someone entered and didn't give us any time to get ready. We were knocked down to level 29, which meant in the case of me and another tanker we were without our AoE powers (Tremor and Foot Stomp) and I was without Seismic Smash.

When it's advertised as being level 15-50, I thought it'd at least auto-SK us, not hammer everyone down to a set point. The facebook post that got me to log in for a change could have said 'Minimum entry level: 15, auto-SK'ed to 29' and I wouldn't be having this moan.

Then in Casino Heist, we did everything in the first part, and then the objective changed but we were left in a room and had to quit. I came here, noticed it was happening to others, and have decided to leave it until that issue is fixed.

Also, I didn't really want to go through Time Gladiators again on a character that does not work well when auto-exemped.
  4. Never.

I started gaming at 3, I'm still gaming at 26, and I'll play games till I die. MMO's have given me friends from all over the world, friends that I have met in meatspace and even been bridesmaid for.

Countless hours of entertainment in hundreds of imaginative worlds and settings. And it's only getting better with the rise of indie PC gaming and modding.
  5. Here's what I'd rather see as a Snipe buff for Blasters:

With no stacks of Defiance (so you can be considered to be 'out of combat') Snipe has its standard wind-up, but does a 'Snipers Shot' which has a bonus amount of damage.

With an instance of Defiance, it acts as a quick firing damage attack that can be used in combat without fear of interruption.
  6. The changes don't really tempt or do anything for me, sadly. It doesn't fix the issues I've had with my blasters over the seven years I've played them, or touched on any of the issues I'd like to see get fixed, like Electric Blast's lack of a 'tier 3' single target blast a la Power Burst/Blaze/Bitter ice Blast.
  7. Pretty impressive, but has it got what plants crave?
  8. Legend of Korra: Finally, we get to see Tenzin in action. Aang's airball cannot compare to Tenzin's airwheel.
  9. As good as Firefly was...

    I'd rather have more Castle.

Plus while it was a shame that it died young, I'd have hated the decay to have crept into Firefly like it did with Buffy in the later seasons.

So where do we find these missions then? I knew nothing about them at all and I've a TW/Elec in that range still who wouldn't mind a Crazy 88 situation against some space nazis.
Steel Canyon, level 15-25 range, from the Find Contact button. I can't remember their exact position in the city, but their arcs do appear in Ouroboros as well in the 20-30 section IIRC.
  11. "Eye of the Storm to res debuff Protean!"
*Protean starts to use his aoe power*
    "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AN!"

Because even if you get out of the way before it animates, it will still heal him, because you have to get out of the way before a certain part of the animation.

Of course, in my head, fights are much more dynamic, epic and fun.

Money can be exchanged for goods and services.

Well, you might if it was an eldritch god of greed. Or the money could be used for purchasing items and components needed in a summoning ritual, making arrangements and that sort of thing.

Depends how you're doing it. Science and technology needs funding if you're going that route, or you might need the money to pay for other concerns while you work on ascension, and again there's paying for ritual items if you chose to go that way.

Money isn't a binary thing. It's not a case of money/no money. Therefore, if you have money, you can always have more money. Same if you don't have money. In fact, the more money you have the more money you can get. What you do with that money is up to whoever has it. You might use it to get even more money, or just buy a lifetime supply of Chicago-style hotdogs.
  13. Hey Sam, out of interest, have you run the two new Blueside arcs? Laura Lockheart and Graham Easton in Steel Canyon (15-25 level range IIRC).

They're pretty good, but for some reason only seem to be popping up in the Find Contact button, rather than having a pop up box.
  14. Dr. Aeon wins. Flawless Victory.

(Now for the bonus level chase the person who decided that through the office with nerf guns to rack up sweet points.)

It's one of those RP age-old problems. See the dark brooding assassin who broods in dark corners of taverns and then has the player complain when no one engages them in conversation, or the abrasive jerk character whose player wonders why everyone treats them like they would sandpaper on sensitive parts of their anatomy (say, keeping a good and fair distance from either).

I've shelved or got rid of characters who just don't work in RP and while I miss the concepts, I never regret my decision.
  16. Sign me up for keeing the badges of the arcs we did and introducing the Penny badge for doing her TF (and making either viable for the TFC accolade) and Statesman's Pal for Hero's Hero/Positron's Pal for Hero's Epic.

Now the thing of it is, revamping old content can often times count as *new* content, so it does pull double duty (I've yet to talk to someone who doesn't call Dark Astoria "new content".) Ideally, you can work it so that you're killing two birds with one stone.

Besides, the things you're talking about would likely take much more than a single issue of development time.
If we can get a Dark Astoria-style Incarnate Zone Makeover for Eden and the Shadow Shards I'd be happy. Then I'd love to see 'purple zones', areas with red content and blue content. Ideas for which could be Crey's Folly/Brickstown/Nerva.

(Also, level 20 Praetorian in Primal refugee/old grudge/stabilizing/destabilizing content in a retooled Perez? Do want.)

    - During the same time, ppl could drop the subscription, use it to play another game AND still play CoH for FREE.

So, allowing anyone purchase the rewards by less than 52€ is a slap in the face of the costumers that maintained their subscriptions.
And the funny thing is, I spent more than that in those 4 months on this game what with Paragon Points purchasing, yet because my sub lapsed for one month (something I've come to regret but I wasn't thinking straight at the times) I'm less loyal. Even with 7 years of subs behind me. To a scheme that only in the past few days actually -showed- people what they were getting.

I didn't complain about people being able to buy the Vanguard pack, CCE and pet. They weren't able to buy the badge or chest emblem. All I really want is the Aura and CCE.

And if people were able to buy the chest emblem and badge I still wouldn't mind, because I would have gotten it in the course of playing and paying without forking out extra.

There's precedent in the Vanguard Pack/MVAS/Vanguard Costume Change that were from the first Loyalty Program, with the Account-wide Badge and Chest Detail not being offered in the Paragon Market.
  21. Could you please stop calling it the 'Loyalist menace', seeing as in the case of Responsibility Loyalists they're working to keep the Praetorian populus safe from the excesses of both the Resistance terrorists (especailly the nutjob Crusaders) and the Powers Division/Cole Administration hardline.

London was formerly Londinium. Languages changes over time and so do place names, so perhaps somewhere someone thought "What's a Mot? Maybe they meant moths. I'll mark this as Moth Cemetery on the map."
  23. Is there any chance that at some point, the Inner Will CCE and Battle Fury aura will be available for purchase, like the Vanguard MVAS mini pet/Vanguard Pack?

Life circumstances put me in a very bad mood and I unsubbed for about a month in December, thus rendering me ineligible for this. A shame Paragon Points Purchases aren't counted. I bought a fair amount recently.
  24. SYNDICATE FUTURE EMPLOYMENT EDUCATION SERVICES

    NOTIFICATION

In light of recent events, the SFEES feel it prudent to cancel the upcoming 'Bring Your Child to Work Day'. While this may be short notice and we can understand the difficulty with arranging childcare at this juncture, this course of action is felt to be the safest not only for the efficient operations of this illustrious organization, but prevent our currently record-high health and safety incident report submission total from rising, and the morale issues such incidents might cause.

In light of the short notice, the SFEES will offer a Praetor Play Pen day pass per employee child due to attend the now cancelled fixture, knowing that soft cushion fun, slides and brightly coloured surroundings will be a disappointment compared to the fun of observing the clerical wheels turning in our day to day duties.

We will run evaluations in the future to determine the feasability of running the 'Bring Your Child to Work Day' at a later date, for a free-of-incident day of education and prospective employment options.
  25. FAO: Policy Makers
Subject: Unfortunate side-effects of new policy.

Sword Master Levin's birthday party is now in ruins thanks to the guard team at Facility 18's detention and poor treatment of the caterers and wanton destruction of four dog piñatas that were intended to be the centre piece of his celebration. The hand-crafted piñatas were being wheeled in, and the guards, upon subduing the catering team, destroyed them in their efforts to check for contraband.

What is worse, is that the contents of the piñatas have subsequently gone missing from the storage rooms where the piñatas were found. I do not have to stress the difficulty in obtaining some of the Sword Master's favourite confectionery, even having to have sent agents into Primal Earth to obtain some that he professed having a craving for.

Please see attached the expenses form filled in, having had to pay the caters out of pocket for damages and silence on the matter, and rapid acquisition of replacement candy. I expect to be reimbursed.

    Yours faithfully, if most irked,
Boss Hideo Name, Facility 18 Co-Ordinator
