  1. You know she's just talking non-stop to her husband who's 5 steps ahead of her regardless of whether he can hear her or is actively ignoring her.

    Who hasn't seen that?

    Ha!

Must be a lot of people rolling with A-Merits.
  3. I plan to keep pre-I19 Mids and its builds in a separate directory from the I19 Mids.

When I respec, I just don't move things around in a build -- that gets sloppy... I need to make sure it's built right from the start. So, when I respec, I'll be opening up Old Mids and New Mids side by side and using the old as a reference as I rebuild in the new.

    There. No need to convert.
  4. To rule out software conflict you can disable all the add on software running in the background by following the instructions found here.

You might want to purge all the intrusiveware installed by Adobe including Viewpoint which is adware.
  5. Move the updater exe to the desktop and run from there and make sure it's intalling to C:/games/City of Heroes

Also you can try disabling all the other programs to see if one them is in conflict by following the instructions here.

Zones were mostly Brickstown with some Founder's Falls, both are 30-40 ToT zones. The true 40 was getting actual costumes. At other points the team SSK level was 37-ish, still no actual costumes.

The following night, being the team leader and not SSK'd, the same toon in the same zone (Brickstown) had no problem getting actual costumes.
Ah, that's even worse than I thought. Thanks for the clarification.

I don't want to sound specieist, but Mr. Fett's experience has been that Hutts do not give a standard tip. The 'fee' is a built-in gratuity. Mr. Fett has been known to waive the fee with certain customers who do not need prompting to be generous.

My question, how are these funneling into IO global bonus? Do they just max your recharge on powers, then global recharge kicks in? So i you have power with a 66% recharge from a set, then it will boost to 99% rech from alpha, and then global recharge from IO sets kick for another 6.25% or say 45% global from stacking? right?

these slots are supposed to enhance us, in conjunction with the sets...

Since so many people build defense builds using IO set bonuses. Specifically toons like fire tankers, and warshades, have no powers with defense, can build decent defense on top of resistance builds using IOs. Will the 20 def buff (that i thought i saw in closed GR), then kick into a 20% def buff to your IO defense? since you have no defense powers in the first place? or 20% bonus on having 0 def "powers" per say, is still 0.

the last discussion of this stuff kinda went into the whole ed cap and limited usefullness if you were a serious max/min, and eventually it was pulled form 18. I never saw this question in that discussion, but might have just missed it. Hope i haven't missed it in this thread already if it was mentioned.

    thanks
IO Sets give a Global Buff which is applied (stacks) to every power you execute *after* ED is applied to the enhancements slotted in that power.

The Alpha Boosts work differently. They act as Enhancements do, with part of it being subject to ED and part not.

So, to figure out the bonus enhancement strength of an aspect of a power:

    1. Add up the enhancements given through slotted enhancements.

    2. Add in the part of the Alpha Boost that applies which is subject to ED.

    3. Apply ED reduction.

    4. Add in the part of the Alpha Boost which is immune to ED.

    5. Add in the Global IO bonuses.

And you got your total buff.

That's it. Self Destruction and Mission Teleporter are the only two 'extra' powers that are not enhanceable by global recharge... for now.
  18. Interesting. Mentioning games that have died is also not allowed. <eyeroll>

    So, let me try again:

There have been F2P games that have failed. So, the expectation that going F2P for CoH is a magical guarantee of more players and enough revenue to support the game is fallacious.

  20. F2P with micro transactions is the way to go!
