The same could be said of the 80s/90s cartoon that had taken what was a more grim, dark, monochrome comic book TMNT and had them saying catchphrases, being obsessed with pizzas, and having Shredder reduced to sometimes comedic, Saturday morning villain with incompetent henchmen that embodied 80s trends.

Quote:Same. Skipped Judgement and Destiny on my Archery/Devices Blaster, and only picked up Lore once we got those little robotic drones. Will be skipping Lore on my Fiery Melee Brute until we happen to get something a little more fire-related. I can wait.I tend to do that last one with my namesake, as I don't think any of the Lore pets suit her concept. Destiny I just believe to be her regen effecting her and the AOE aspect of it all is just a game mechanic.
I've also skipped powers inwhich min/maxers suggest taking, but I don't like for various reasons.
Now my Dark/Time Troller however is concept that can finally use the Lore ability while remaining in concept! -

Quote:When I stated multiple hairstyles I was just being general and making a point. Yes, this would actually require a lot more work than just chopping off hair, purely because the devs have to work from a set schedule they have, pull art designers away from new projects so that they can hack away the old hair from these hats, then test the new hats to make sure they don't clip or look awkward. They must be treated as making a new object, like I mentioned, because work must still be taken away from other things in order to focus on this, and any amount of work in this game isn't as little as players make it seem. Look at how long it took for women to get Baron coats. All the work was already there, the coat was made, but it took having a dev fit it into their free schedule to work on in their down time before we finally saw it.No... I understood all that long before this thread was started, it was just never relevant. The first time you articulated it you were talking about multiple additional hair options being made which the original poster never was.
Now that you've taken that part out your original reply you're defending is no longer reasonable because nothing needs to be 'remade' only removed, a part cut off of a second copy of an existing work, and it's not unreasonable at all to ask for a selection of the old hats to be duplicated without hair. Lots of other pieces in the CC have 'with plate, without plate' and things like that.
I think it's a reasonable request, and I'd especially like to see it for girls because I know I'm not the only one who hates seeing the dangley hair clipping with EVERYTHING.
It's not a small task, and because of that, I doubt the devs would want to work on making hairless versions of these hats when they could just make entirely new hats instead. If we ever do get them, great, I won't complain. But I'm just being realistic here. -
Quote:What you don't understand is on those hats, like I explained, the whole thing is one big hairdo. For example again, a Fedora and the hair that comes with it are one solid entity. As in, in order to get an option to have a Fedora with no hair on it (which, technically, bald is a hair style anyway), you'd need to go in and remake the Fedora, removing the hair. It's essentially making a new costume part in terms of workload and fitting it into the schedule. He didn't ask for more hair options, he asked for the option to NOT have hair, which is reasonable because they have already put in lots of heads that would not be expected to have hair on them.
IMHO, this could be fixed with a few new detail items that wrap around the entire head, covering the hair on standard hats. A thick headband/eye mask (natural), an intricate metal piece for tech, etc.
They'd have to do this with every single hat that has hair, meaning they'd be remaking a ton of hats to have a no-hair option. Why put all that effort into making bald versions of hats when we could just get new hats instead? -
We're not going to be seeing different hair options for hats because apparently hats are hair. The hat isn't a separate entity that can have interchangeable hairstyles. They'd need to create a version of, say, the Fedora with long hair, with short hair, and then bald. Kind of sucks, yeah.

Quote:Tell that to the 5th Column, Council, Tsoo, Outcasts, Hellions, Skulls, Nemesis, Arachnos, Circle of Thorns, Praetorians, Carnival of Shadows, Trolls, Rikti, Banished Pantheon, Malta, Knives of Artemis, Crey, Coralax, Clockwork, Devouring Earth, The Family, Freakshow, Vahzilok, Warriors, Hyrda Spawn, The Lost, Shivans, Sky Raiders, Halloween Zombies, and the Winter Horde.I just know I'm going to flamed for this, but I will still say it - villains can't get to Paragon (although Rogues can... with conditions), unless there's going to be a drastic shift in i23 where the Coming Storm destroys the Rogue Isles and we're relocated to Boomtown.
And then there's Rogues Gallery villains, and our player villains that wreck Paragon City on a regular basis within story arcs and Mayhem Missions. -
Quote:Take a chill pill, bro, and just step away.Deliberate misunderstanding/skewing of concept for the lose.
Also lol @ my saying that a dinosaur pack should rank low on the developer's list of priorities as my being "butthurt." You live in an interesting little world, but it is not one I inhabit. I could in in turn remark that your response to my post obviously means that you are sitting at your computer desk crying your eyes out, but my saying it does not make it so.
See what I did there....? I'm guessing not, but whatevs. Wild spurious claims for the lose as well. -
Quote:That's only possible with a patented Time Travel Face Bag.There's also the method of travelling into the future one second at a time.

But then we couldn't get actual shoulder options to go along with it, and most of those animal and beast heads are too big for the helmet.
-
Will have to wait and see.

Quote:Then he goes on to mention this tidbit in his interview with Onrpg.com about a costume set that he would like to have, quoted here: "If I were to get any costume set it would be a Japanese anime-style mecha suit, that sort of angled, venty, armor that was big in the 1980s and 90s."
-
We already have enough robot and tech costume sets. Let's try to fill in other niches that actually need filling, like Egyptian, Tribal, Medieval, Pirate, Energy, Elemental, etc.

Quote:Take a chill pill, man. When did the official forums become 4chan? What did your second post contribute that your first post, with a single point making but not threatening animated gif, didn't already say?
Normally I'm a post and let post kind of guy, but if anyone out there legitimately has a fear of clowns you just shut the thread down for them on page one. -

Quote:Actually, those analogies don't work so well. When you pay your monthly fee for this game, you're paying for access to the game. The ability to actually play the game without Free/Premium restrictions. Anything the devs put in the Issues comes at no cost to us, which means we're not paying the devs for anything within said Issues. Whereas, with your cheeseburger analogy, you actually are paying money specifically for that cheeseburger. And I'm done with you.
Yes, if someone produces *partial* work, I expect them to finish it.
If someone says they'll make a cheeseburger and gives it to me without cheese, that is incomplete work.
If someone says they'll paint a room but only finishes 3 walls, that is incomplete work.
If someone says they'll install a printer, and they just unbox it, plug it in and leave it sit there, it's incomplete work.
So when an Issue comes out that's not to your liking, you can't complain that much because you didn't actually pay anything to receive an Issue with everything you wanted. You paid to make sure you have access to this game, and the servers remain up and running.
Now, technically speaking, the system was finished. The devs intended it to be done with Primary and Secondary powers. The players just wanted more out of it, including myself. Positron was actually surprised players would want to customize power pools and the like, if anyone remembers that. But technically speaking, it was a finished system that they continue to implement with all future powersets. And since we're not paying them to continue with Power Customization, but instead paying them for access to their servers, we can't sit here and say "You're not finished. Back to work or I'll be mad." We can only say "Devs. Any chance you guys would be interested in adding APPs, PPPs, and Power Pools to your list of customizable powers?"
Also, to be honest, I really feel like you should take a chill pill. You're getting really worked up over something pretty small. -

Quote:Someone posted a video awhile back of old Faultline. Basically old Fautline was nothing but a giant crater filled with tons of huge pits and tilted buildings. You couldn't even actually go to the dam or in the watery area.umm.... they are pretty heavily differnt. The new faultline area before the dam is smaller than the old one.
Plus the only reason why Galaxy and DA were saved was because of the badges they provided.
As to Rabbit, what were you expecting? Doms are already good and got tweaked awhile back. And any powerset they get can be proliferated to other sets, so I don't really know what they can get that would be unique to just that AT. -
Agreed. Definitely a purchase from me.
Quick Q, though. Did we ever get word on if it's feasible to create a helmet option where bubble isn't see through? A few people remarked how that option would open up a wide variety of costume ideas, akin to famous characters like Mysterio or more modern day astronauts. It'd also knock out another frequent costume part request without having to engineer an entirely new piece from scratch. -
They've done two mass name purges in the past. Aside from that, I don't think they will plan on doing another, especially since Freedom is huge on getting old players back into game.
-
Not bad. I'll give it a solid shot rather than shooting it down instantly like a lot of people seem to be doing.

Quote:That actually is a massive problem because of how many powers an enemy has also affects difficulty. Give an enemy loads of powers and low level enemies will still have trouble. Give 'em only one or two, and they pose zero threat to 50s.Batman is never going to 'outlevel' Gotham. We, as players, are discouraged from becoming attached to a zone or calling an area "home". That's another one of those things I wish was fundamentally different about the game; that zones have a specific and intended level range.
I mean, if you have a magical type character, they're likely going to want to hang around Croatoa. Your street level vigilante should gravitate towards Kings or IP, but at 50 there no reason to go there and you can't even street sweep or "patrol".
Sometimes I wonder: would it be so wrong to use the "GM/Invasion Code" on everything to have enemies be levelless?
Yes, I know that's a loaded question with a lot of problems associated with it (hey, they just rendered Incarnate level shifts moot), but I can't help feeling like we shouldn't be on a rail and wishing the game was a bit more sandboxy in that respect.
.
Best thing they could do is take neighborhoods a step further and have drastic changes between different areas of one zone. Either that, or introduce instanced areas of a zone that only spawn higher level enemies, kind of like how new AP does with the Hellion hideout. Or just give us mission arcs for all levels in a zone and forgot about the streets, because no one really does street sweeping anyway.
