  1. I know the sniper that operates from the awning about half way between the Vanguard base and the hospital is one of Nemesis's band geeks.
  2. So Eldritch Banana is out, hmm?

No, you can't get the Angel/Demon wings from Invention Recipe's... I know... but every other wing type looks better anyway
That all depends on what wing type your character calls for. None of the wings are really comparable to each other. Exceptions are the Angelic and Valkyrie Wings and the Demonic and Dragon Wings. And which one looks better once again depends on what would suit the character best.

I have some that look best with Dragon Wings, and some that look best with the Demon Wings. Likewise, I have quite a few that look proper with the Angelic Wings, and probably as many that look right with the Valkyrie Wings.

How about we meet somewhere in the middle? How about you only send a maximum of one e-mail per month to any given character name + server name combination? Surely there's not so much name turnover that you'd miss any of us.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That would still be one too many.

Rocket boots, IIRC, will only fire when a flight power is activated. So Hover, Flight, and the Peacebringer equivalents are the only ones that will trigger it (plus group flight, either as the initiator or as a recipient).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Don't forget the jet packs (Raptor Pack, Gold Bricker Pack, Jingle Jet, etc.) The Rocket Boots fire when those are running as well. In fact, it looks really cool with the Raptor Pack, almost as neat as the Rocket Boots/Tech Wings combo.

So /signed that I can feel it. While we're at it, can we get rid of minimum level requirements for hazard zones so I can run a mission team heroside without running into 'ohhhh, sorry, the next mission's in Crey's Folly and you're too low to get into there' every other mission?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Aye. The level restrictions need to go, or characters normally too low level should be allowed as long as they are SKed. Keep the restrictions on Cimerora and the RWZ of course, but the others all break the SK system and need changed.

The scenario has quite often been thus:

"Sorry team. Looks like we can't do any of the arcs we had planned. I remember that all the arcs I have availablew will send us into hazard zones that our sidekicks are locked out of. So, looks like we spend the evening just grinding out endless radio missions again."

The best reason is that some of us aren't number crunching bean counters when it comes to the game and like to play it, not over analyze it. Of course, one man's over analysis is another's play, but do know that not everyone here plays that way.

Also, once you've been there done that with thugs, why do it again? Try another powerset for the variety.

I am me, and I fully approve of this post.

That said, yeah, I have a Thugs/Dark MM, and she is fun to play with decent damage and mitigation. However, I have been having a blast with my Mercs/Pain MM on Protector, and he is already sitting nicely at 37 after less than a month of casual play (whereas my Thugs/Dark, after 2 years is only at 23.) I like my Mercs/Pain MM just because he is fun to play, and he has a cool factor about him (trained with the Sky Raiders and has access to personnel and equipment needed to protect his home and his fellow Rogue Isles citizens.)

And here, in all their butt kicking glory, I present Never-Moore and Team Blackbird.

Been using that proc on my WS for almost a year and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Do yourself a favor and ignore the "it only fires off in the auction house" people. It causes somewhat regular damage spikes that amount to a global 2.5% damage boost over time when your in squid form, for just 1 slot. Also worth slotting is the Performance shifter +10 endurance proc into Stamina.

As a side note: The build up proc also checks immediately whenever you enter squid form as the power is being activated.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm not too concerned about it going off at WW. I tend to do my marketing in Human form anyway, unless it is just a really quick stop to pick up earnings.

I'm looking forward to hitting 40, since that is when Twilight Dream will be able to work in the Gaussian proc. And what I am really looking forward to is this sequence...

Sunless Mire/Dark Nova (BU proc goes off)/Dark Nova Bolt (Decimation BU proc goes off and Devastation Hold proc as well)/Dark Nova Detonation/Dark Nova Emanation/Oops...Spawn gone.

Granted, that is a lot of ifs (2 5% chance procs and a 10% chance thingie, but it is bound to happen that way every once in a while.

I will keep that endurance proc in mind for Stamina as well, if I can manage a 4th slot due to the magic of frankenslotting.
  13. Yep. I think it checks something like every 10 seconds or so. This is why my Warshade is getting a Gaussian's Synchronized Fire Control: Chance for Build Up in her Dark Nova form. Granted, that's a toggle, but it works just like an auto power would. As long as it is on the proc has a chance of going off every 10 or whatever seconds.

the journey and the destination are pretty boring, lol i've seen 50 43 times now and have about 6 more toons ready to ding 50 before the summer wraps up if i feel the urge to play more then 10 minutes here and there.

i really liked my pb when i was leveling it, it felt pretty sweet, but then when i noticed how [censored] the damage was after the hammi nerf, i kinda benched my pb until the glitched achilles heel procs, then once that was fixed he got shelved again.

the warsahde on the otherhand has possibly the coolest powers in the game and can be a beast if played right.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm having a blast with my Dual Form (Human/Squid) Warshade, and have been spending a lot of time here and there tweaking her plan. It may seem a bit silly, but she is becoming an epic procologist, considering her build already has 2 Devastation: Chance for Hold procs slotted (and 3 more planned), the WG Recharge Debuff/Slow Resist, and Karma -KB.

She is also getting a Decimation: Chance for Build Up in her Dark Nova Bolt. It may be only 5% chance, but it's a fast recharging power so has good odds of going off frequently enough. And lastly, the Gaussian's: Chance for Build Up will be going into her Dark Nova. When that happens, the normal To Hit Buff will be replaced with the Gaussian's: To Hit Buff (since it's the same value anyway), and that will get her an additional 5% movement speed.

When she hits 40, I will be giving her a "performance review", and will post her current plan here in hopes of getting some advice on how to optimize her powers and slots via frankenslotting and whatnot.

Nice thing about the Khelds is that there is no One True Build(tm) that all must follow. So many options and choices, it can cause spontaneous cerebral detonation.

Once she is all properly planned out and optimized, I will then go on to do the same for my Dual Form Peacebringer, and then my tri-forms I made on another server.

    Splortch!!!

  17. I don't think I have ever run that mission. I usually manage to get his badge mission and his arc before that one comes up.

I may have done it once a long time ago, but can't remember.
  18. Well, crisis averted. Managed to get some help right before I left to go shopping. Now I can get on with the rest of this contact's missions. Still no War Wall Defender though. I bet this is going to be one of those times where it ends up being the very last mission from this contact.

Now to go negotiate the Crey Scientist's surender while the steaks marinate and grill...
  19. Are there any kill alls in any of the Orenbega maps? I can't quite recall ever doing one. Of course, quote often, enemy placement makes them into kill alls, even when they are not supposed to be.
  20. Be my guest. That is Savage Simon. He's a SS/WP Brute. He is also an inventor and a mad scientist (but only the latter when he is off his meds.)

If you need his specs (the specific costume pieces and colors used), just give the word and I will log him in and post his info.

I'm actually rather pleased with Rad-Bit there too (the robot). He would be perfect if he could have a Clockwork Winder as a back detail.
  21. I just might do that. No time at the moment though. Got real world stuff to do. So, looks like I stay logged in and inside the mission while I'm out. I am not going to run through this entire mission a second time. I absolutely hate kill all in Council Base missions. Those are the worst. Kill all in Council Base and click multiple glowies? Those are the worst too...
  22. Ah, my Croatoa comment was just a tangent. The problem mission is one of Mereaux's. I just mentioned Croatoa because I had been hoping to save tomorrow's drop for Buck Salinger's last mission. But now I have to wait 4 days since tomorrow's drop is going to be used on this 2 Glowies mission instead.
  23. I did read the mission description. However, I do recall reading several times in the forums over the past year at least that most of these were fixed so that they can be completed without needing a team. Apparently whoever was making this claim was plain and simply wrong.

And what is making this worse is that I can't continue with this contact until I do this mission, since it was the only mission she was offering (they should always offer 2 as long as there are at least 2 to offer, in order to prevent a situation like this.) (Still a day until I can drop it, and that means 4 days until I can finish Croatoa, since I always drop the final mission...not because it is hard, but because it is so tedious.)

    *** EDIT ***

    [ QUOTE ]
The one which really should be fixed to give a choice of missions is the level 25-30 Science contact. The very first (and only) offered mission is always a timed 2 person mission: The Missing Geologist. Taking it is the only way to get to the story arc and any other missions, but it is not part of the story arc.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is an annoying one. That is a choice of either forced teaming or forced failure if you want to progress.

  24. [ QUOTE ]
I'm 90% sure that particular mission has been fixed to avoid simul-glowies, but the mission text wasn't changed. The only ones I can think of that still require teammates are a DE bio-bomb in the 20s and a Nemesis macroassembler in the 40s, and both of those are timed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I just went completely through this mission (it was also a kill all), and it is still broken. It is impossible to finish without teaming. So now I will have to wait until I can use another mission drop before I can continue with this contact.

Who was the genius who decided that these types of missions were a wonderful idea anyway?
