  1. Okay FIRST all vaults are linked... the ones in the city zones, Pocket D and your Sgs base all hold the same salvage so you can go to any of them and get back what you put in. NOT sure if they changed it but at one point an SG that had a coalition with another base could even access their salvage in THAT SGs base.

Secondly.. "It will break the game?" Okay it would make it more convenient and since the Devs never caved to the idea of allowing us to move influence between our characters I highly doubt they will ever allow all our characters to acces all the salvage in the vaults of all our characters either. Truthfully the logistic would be nearly impossible anyway. I have over 30 characters on Virtue and most are storing at least some salvage. Now I have a 50 that can store as much as 50 pieces in her vault... how does a 20 level that only has 30 in hers even see all the salvage that 50 in storing? But break the game? I also have 2 accounts and can very easily log both on at the same time and transfer influence, salvage, recipes, enhancememts, you name it simply by sending both characters to the same spot and TRADING! If I have something on one character I want nother to have bad enough I can make it happen with or without a "buddy" to help with the transaction.

How I use the vault? Like a few here I store what's valuable or I think I'll need later in there and sell what I don't. The storage racks in the two Sgs I run are filled with nothing BUT rare salvage that can be used to build recipes or to finance a lower level character. So I keep the other stuff I want in the vault so it doesn't take up space in those.

I'm a firm believer in using everything they provide me with to enhance my game play and help me level faster. The poster that said they wouldn't use the vault until ALL their characters had access... is shorting themselves cause it means you're selling stuff off JUST to free up slots based on a "wish" that frankly I don't think will ever come true. Like I said years ago players started asking to be able to have an ATM, of sorts, where a 50 level could store influence and lower levels he or she owned come come and make withdrawls so they could buy better enhancements and level faster.. We never got that so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to be able to do the same thing with salvage through the vault.
  2. KB is designed to do one thing really KEEP me alive. If the tank can't hold Aggro and the Scrapper is too busy to be bothered with his or her support knockback allows me to send anything trying to get in my face flying backwords so I have time to get off even more shots before they get close enough to hit me. Of course part of the problem is on some power sets it also happens to be attached to some of the better damaging attacks. I play Scrapper and Tanks and YES no one that is playing a melle AT likes having to chase their target half way across the room after the Blaster fires off a KB attack... gets even worse of some "DEFEAT ALL" Missions with multi layers when KB sends a minion or LT plummeting and now we have to go FIND him to get mission complete. I do my best to line up so I drive things into walls or at least don't toss them into holes but I am not going to refuse to use an attack to please 1 or 2 players and watch 4 or 5 other Blasters, Trollers and Defenders die (including me) because it's inconvenient for the scrapper to have to take 4 steps before delivering his new attack. I have chased plenty or villains across warehouses cursing the Blaster that made me but I realize the damage he or she just did may result in the whole team staying alive.

Face facts no matter what you do .. you can't please everyone. Now take that same scrapper that HATES KB so much and put him on a RITKI Invasion team while he's working on the badges for the accolade. Almost all KB attacks also damage multiple targets so I just bet if he's on yout team he'd be more than happy to see you scattering Rikti all over since he'll get partial credit for the defeat no matter who ends up taking them out and get closer to his badges sooner. Use it wisely, do your best to minimize the scattering but don't shelve some of your stronger attacks because 1 guy on an 8 man team is annoyed. If they are so lazy they can't move their character around a little to keep fighting maybe they need to solo their way to 50 once or twice.... after that I'm sure they'd be more than happy to have you do whatever you want as long as they are earning huge amounts of XP. lol
  3. Hmmmmm I like this one. Okay how about..

Nemesis dressed like one of the toys from the Nutcracker... hey he'd fit right in with the majority of his troops then right?

Jack in Irons in a full Santa suit with beard.. hey he's got the belly for the job.

Maybe we could go to Crey's Folly and convince Jurassic to replace that rusty old car at the end of the tree he uses as a club with a Santa Sleigh until after the 25th. Minus the reindeer of course.

Let's send someone to talk to Bile, or whoever is running the Freakshow these days, and see if they can string some twinkle lights from their cybornetic implants. Brickstown would actually twinkle at night!

Okay that's enough of that LOL
  4. My First 50 was Taxibot Sara2.0 An ILL/EMP Controller with a dual build using Fire on one build and Cold on the other as Epics. She's a Task Force Commander, Superior Invisibility and Recall Friend make finding a TF very easy, and has more than 400 badges (I don't have all the time travels or crafting badges.... haven't gotten to the Time Travels yet and I prefer have the rather large amount of influence I have accumulated to spending it buying a pile of recipes and salvage I don't need just to get another badge). Malta absolutely hate her since I can solo them and stealth in Confusing the Sappers and Gunslingers and then unleash my Phantom Army and Phatasm to help devastate the rest. I am STILL trying to find that one Pretorean AV I missed for Portal Jockey but I will figure out out eventually. LOL

In addition as a Taxibot on the Virtue Server she can usually be found hanging around Steel Canyon on Friday nights offering teleport to ICON, the Green Line, Yellow Line, Wentworths, or anywhere else in the zone. Along with the other Taxis we frequently form teams to battle fires in the zone (she has all three badges for that) and have helped countless heroes get badges needed for Rikti and Zombie Invasions. Hey over the Halloween Event we formed teams and took out Eochia 10 times in one night.

She is the Taxibot Base Designer/Archetect and has made several improvements including upgrading the plot and putting in the HUGE Teleport chamber than allows 9 telepoters in one room. A good many of the Merits she earns doing Task Forces have been converted to tier three Inspirartions which are available to all members in any of the 8 INSP Collactors at the base. And she is now building IO enhancements also in base for everyones use.

She may have reach the highest level available but she is far from retired and when she isn't on line she is working on one day job badge after another to gain accolade powers. In addition to another 18 50s I have managed to produce she now has a baby sister in the Taxibots.. Taxibot Tandar who is Plant/Rad Controller working toward level 41 and already has Task Force Commander behind her. Yeah I have Altitis but I do manage to get characters to the top on a regular basis and have fun along the way,
  5. Personally the luster sort of disappeared from the Vet Reward System in my opinion. I'm approaching the 48 month mark and kind of looking for ward to that but let's face it... I have older characters that have as many as 60 free costume token (in game) plus all the ones I get as a VET. That does come in handy occasionally when I design a Holiday outfit or whatever but just how many times do I need to keep changing outfits on a 50 level that I have tweeked the costume on numerous times already?

The Respecs are the same way.. I have been around long enough that between Paragon Wiki, Midi's Planner, and just a good knowledge of the game and power sets from teaming I can't recall the last time I did a Respec trial for any other reason than the badge and the merits I could earn plus most of my characters have one free one sitting in game as well.

Costume pieces?... Okay when wings and Trenchcoats first appeared I was thrilled like everyone else but I have over 40 characters on the Virtue server now, between 2 accounts, and not one wears a trenchcoat and all of two have wings. Wings in particular lost it's shine when they turned right around and started offering recipes for ones that looked cooler and even started selling them (The Valkyrie set).

Base Items ... are sort of cool but unless you are the base leader, or designer/archetect, how many players actually use them? Not to mention the players that don't even bother joining a Super Group making that whole "REWARD" pretty much useless.

Vet powers?... They come in handy at lower levels but with no ability to enhance them at some point they just become an End drain that misses as often as it hits and unless I am in a battle against an AV and nothing else has recharged (Yeah that happens a lot) I rarely even use them so they are just another all but worthless icon taking up room in my trays.

Don't get me wrong it's all nice and I can't recall the last time I ever had to PAY for a costume at the Tailors and the few times I have messed up a power selection it's been nice to just click a badge and fix but they are hardly anything I consider earth shatteringly important. It may be time to just end the system or, as one poster suggested, cut back to a yearly reward and make it something good.. like an accolade style power that ups my Hit Points, End, Recovery rate, Etc. Or how about added power slots so at say 72 month I get to pick another power, from any pool or my mains, and enhance it sort of like I was a 52 or 53 level. (No I am not suggesting adding any new powers to primary or secondary powers.. just giving a player the chance to say add a pool power and one or two sets of enhancements to make it worth using).

The Power Packs they sell offer up better rewards, in most cases, than what we get for being loyal to the game and a brand new player with zero vet badges can buy those their first day in game. Maybe it is time to just end the system or at least revamp it so it actually seems like a reward. And Devs if any of you actually read this.. try creating a vet reward and then not turning right around and offering it, or better, to a 1 week old player. The excuse that some younger players complained "But I want wings too and that seems so far off I will never get to have them" just doesn't hold water with me. My response to that would be.. "Well when I started I had to RUN everywhere until level 14 because there were no Newpaper/Radio missions and Raptor Pack available to anyone above level 5 or that wanted to buy one for 30 days. There was no Wentworths and I had players in their 30s still using Training Origin and Double Origin enhancements because it was all I could afford. If I wanted a particular BADGE from a contact in some cases I'd have to purposely let my self get defeated so I didn't outlevel the contact before they finally gave me that mission..since there was no Time Travel Portal that let me do them any time and even award merits for waiting and doing them after I outlevel that contact. I'm a VET and there are others even older in game than I am so if you want a bright shiny new power, or whatever.. Try playing the game a while and earning it instead of whining until someone gives or sells it to you!" LOL
  6. Yawns and stretch as a LOOOONNNNNNG nap and realizes there is a Puppeh in bed with her. Quickly hidining the puppeh under the covers as she tries to figure out how a "wabbit" hole ended up in her bedroom. Cap and Rook stumble in throught the hole.

"If you're looking for that bad puppy it went that way" Points to the east.

Fedor Drives through the wall of the bedroom.

"Fed! The puppeh went that way." Point to the west.

After several more interruptions All is quiet and She snuggles under the cover with the Puppeh.

"No one is going to hurt you now cutey. I sent them all off on wild goose chases... Why do people chase wild Geese?"

Puppeh and I share the bacon..

"Now do you think while they are all off running around you couls sneek downstairs and bring back a Really big cup of COFFEE?"

hehehehe Morning all :-D Despite the rumors... I do still exist. AND I LOVE PUPPYS! LOVE KITTIES TOO!
  7. I have 2 Ma/Regen Scrappers at level 50 and no they aren't as devastating as my Katan or my Dual Blades ... But they are effective. The latest just made 50 a few weeks ago running solo missions from Marie in PI and taking on the likes of Marauder, Mother Mayhem, Bob Cat, etc. Okay NO I am not completely insane they were Elite Bosses not AVs but still very powerful and put up a good fight. From what I have heard Claws and Spines are the two most powerful sets.. I am testing Claws now and at level 14 (Does seem to be very effective). I Have a Spines at level 17 but, LOL, I hate to admit it it Appearance is important to me and I just can't enjoy playing her when I run around half the time looking like someone super glued bananas to my costume. Dark Mellee is excellent and I have a DM/SD at 50 that also soloed a LOT of Preatoran EBS along the way. Broadsword also offers outstanding damage and I have a Valkyre BS/SD Shield Maiden I love in the 30s right now.

Will I ever make another MA? I doubt it but mainly because I have "Been There and Done That" not because I hated playing the two I have.
  8. I was on with a friend last night playing my Emp/AR Defender and while she was creating a new costume earned using the salvage from Trikc or Treating I found myself following a conversation in one of the Badge Hound Global channels I belong to here. The conversation revolved around how useless Empaths are and how they are not needed or wanted on teams these days. I decided to hold my tongue and just stay out of the small argument but the general feeling was that "ALL" Empaths do is spam heals and provide nothing of benefit to a team these days. Okay I admit there are "bad" Empaths out there running around with their Healing Aura on auto and thinking that's all they need to do to assist the team. That said and out of the way... Empathy, when used properly, is one of the best buffing sets out there. Clear Mind protects teammates from Holds, Immobs, Sleeps and between the Lost, The Rikti, Carnival, Circle of Thorn and even Arachnos Night Widows come in very handy all the way to level 50. Fortitude increases any players defense and ability to hit even a Arch Villain. The Regen and Recovery Auras allow every player on the team, including the Empath, to heal faster and regain edurance at an accelerated rate. Add a good secondary that debuffs like Rad and a Emp/? can be a very effective teammate.

I started playing Scrappers and moved to Defenders shortly afterwards and this attitude disturbs me a bit. Sure even I had seen Emp Defenders that were totally useless. I have also seen Tanks that didn't bother to take Taunt.. the excuse was it was a "concept" character and taunt didn't fit with the So-called Tanks vision for his character. A Tabk with no taunt while battling Malta didn't fit with the team leaders vision of survival either and he kicked the guy shortly after that statement came out of the Tank's mouth. I have played with Kins that.. 1) Didn't take SB because "It doesn't help my character so I skipped it" and 2) Have SB and seem to be under the impression that if a little speed burst is good 5 or 6 application had just got to be better! Nothing I enjoy more than barely nudging one of my Blasters to try and get into range and finding myself in the middle of a huge mob playing tank (for all of about 6 seconds until I dropped like a dead leaf). I have played with Illusion controller that didn't take Superior Invisibilty or had it but didn't bother taking Recall Friend... Nothing speeds up a Task Force like a good Ill/? that can stealth to the objective and transport the team past the tons of minions. lieutenants, and Bosses in the way. I cant still recall the Illusion Controller that stealthed to the objective, reported I found the boss, and then when the TF leader said "Okay TP us" the reply was "I don't have TP"! .... Okay then WHY did you bother? I could go on and on I play on Pick up groups a lot and have seen good and bad players using every ArchType there is but I think you see my point... HOPE you do anyway.

There is nothing wrong with Empathy the problem is a bunch of bad players using it. I play with, In My Opinion, on of the best herding Tankers in the game.... you don't see too many of those these days either becuase far too many players don't want to take the time to learn to actually PLAY thier character. I have Empath Defenders and Controllers and I gaurentee you I hit every member of a team with CM as we enter a mission, I use Fort on the Tanks and Scrappers... and YES I have it double slotted with Recharge reduction so I can Fortify more than one or two players over the course of a mission. My Regen and Recovery Auras fire off as fast as they are available and OMG I do actually heal and Rez when its necessary! In between I fire off every attack I have and yeah I know Defender damage sucks but any damage is good damage if it helps keep the team alive and the mission going smoothly.

Empathy- Does Not Suck! Players that think its a race to get to 50 as fast as possible and have no idea how their powers work does suck. Don't believe me? Okay come to Virtue and look up Taxibot Sara my 50 level Ill/Emp Troller (you know the one with TF Commander along with about 400 other badges... I don't have every single Crafting and Time Travel Badge known to man. Team with me for a while and then tell me EMPATHY Sucks. I solo Malta and Carnival not to mention COT and Rikti and I have finished missions without losing a single Hit Point of health. I have done most of the Task Forces and Trials, including the respecs, and have a dual build (one for solo and one for teaming). The majority of my enhancements are basic IOs that I got , at not cost, by actually running missions and getting the recipes and most of the salvage.. Not a single PURPLE in my entire build and I have gotten compliments from team leaders on my play. Am I perfect? Heck no just ask my friends I screw up just like anyone else but overall they rather have ANY of my characters on their teams to picking up someone desperately running around Screaming LFT!!!! I will stand side by side with a Tank healing and buffing until the team either wins the fight or I drop and that usuallly means the Tank stayed healthy long enough to defeat the AV and I just use an awake and way we go again. DON'T CONDEMN THE POWER SET OR THE AT.. CONDEMN THE GOOF UP THAT DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO USE IT. Empathy is not a BAD Powerset.... like so many others it just looks bad in the wrong hands.
  9. Sorry Herc but I agree with Memphis Bill. I enjoy the fact that I don't have to go on a "special quest or whatever to earn the "HOOD or Healing" to increase my Regen powers or whatever. I don't have to buy, barter, or beg for things to add to my outfit I just go play the game and earn inluence and buy my enhancements as slots become available. Basically its like as I run missions I am constantly training and honing my powers to make them better till level 50.

And if this idea of your's did occur then what? Back to the tailor to PAY to add it to your costume? I've siad it before here I am not even crazy about how I earn extra costume slots. I do the Tailor a HUGE favor and get a villain group to leave him/her alone so I can EARN the right to BUY an outfit? "Hey pal I just beat the snot of 30 Tsoo for you ... now you want to charge me for a new costume too?" Fortunately after almost 4 years in game I hav so many free custume rewards and tokens I could change about 10 times and still not have to pay but I think you see my point. Let's just keep my powers and my clothing seperate.

Then look at classic comic, which is what this game is based on, and you don't find a lot of Super Heroes that have that much junk attached to their spadex to help them battle evil. Superman? Nope Spiderman? Nope Wolverine? Nope Batman? Okay he's into gadgets but his utility belt aside his strength omes from constant training to hone his body... not a knee pad. There are a few that have bracelets of power or the Green Latern with his ring.. but those are solo items that grant a nomral person with all their super powers. The Green Latern doesn't wear ear rings of defense and a necklace of strength.. he has ONE Ring. This is not Dungeons and Dragons, It's not WOW, it is City of Heroes and the mechanics involved in giving us the abilities we have are fine. I don't need to start running around looking for clothin accessories.. I have the Rikti and Nemesis to deal with.
  10. Grins at Emmi and Opps Happy Birthday Pogo... kisses and hugs
  11. OMG I found the place ! wandering .. stumbling in from a LONG time away and wondering if the place has changed much. /e shrugs I can check that out later I smell Bacon!

Sorry all RL dragged me away from the forums and the game for a while Good to be back.

Munches some bacon while she looks around... still not sure she likes this NEW look ... took some doing just finding the place (giggles)
  12. Great time last night all..... I always like to get the Midnighter Club Arc out of the way so I'm not trying to do it at 35 just to gain access to Cimerora and it does offer up merits for a fairly short story arc. Faultline isn't as popular as it was right after the changes there but those arcs are nice an short and again give all of us merits.

Love the way the base is shaping up .. Oh and having a Taxibot on da team does have 1 huge advantage. I have done so many badge tours in so many zones I can find the majority of them in my sleep. As of now we have the beacons for Atlas Park Galaxy City, Kings Row, Steel Canyon, Skyway, Faultline, Perez Park, The Hollow and Pocket D. I haven't gotten to Boomtown yet mainly because that place depresses the heck out of me and I was tired and just figured I'd get it later. As we get a little higher in level I'll start to pick up Talos,Ind. Port and the rest ... I like to be at a high enough level where I'm not battling for my life with my squishy little Blaster to grab an exploration badge.

I started the night at 16 and I am 1 bar away from 20 so we are not only having fun we are moving up fast. Looking forward to next week. See ya then
  13. Least favorite for me is easy: Circle of Thorns at least until I reach the higher levels with a character. At low level they are just way too overpowering... Energy mages exploding in my face, Ruin mages encasing me in stone or tossing me everywhere and then the Spectral Followers and the rest that all tend to run off 3 seconds after you attack them and hide.. when the mission is a defeat all. YUCK In the 40 Death mages are a challenge but I have the powers to compensate and mostly you see Demons and they are just push overs.

Most favorite is a little more complicated since I have favorites at different levels. Not much in the real low ones ... Skulls and Hellions provide XP but aren't very exciting.

At level 20 I start seeing Freakshow and I LOVE them. I wish they didn't disappear once you hit 40s. They give you a reasonable challenge and REZ so I an get twice the XP, INF, for defeating them all over again.

In the 30s It has to be Rikti I always look forward to making it to level 35 and heading into the RWZ to run arc and earn Vanguard merits. They give you a good battle and have enough variety to make life interesting.

Above 40 level I am in PI and I love nothing better than a good AV team .. Preatorans all the way. Short of battling a GM nothing presents more of a challenge than fighting the counterparts of the Phalanx, etc.

Can we expand on this? Favoriite GM.. Jurassic First there is the whole look of him. Waving a giant tree trunk around with a car turning it into his hammer. Then he presents a good battle ... I have been on teams with a RAD/RAD that still had a good fight on their hands against him.

Least favorite would be Lusca It just takes too long to find enough players to attack him and offers too little reward. I get 2 merits in PP for taking down Kraken and the same 2 for defeating 8 tentacles and then that silly girl's head? I'm enough of a badger that I will join teams taking her on but I have walked away from a Lusca battle more than 100,000 in debt and that was at level 20 so I was paying it off, before patrol XP, for close to half a level.
  14. This one falls under the category of "How long did you say you have been playing this game?" 8 man team on an alt still in the early teens so no stamina yet and after a long hard fight I was out of end.. most of us were. I clicked rest and took knee when a friend sent me a tell and since one of the team was AFK for a few I started chatting. Team mate returned and everyone was re-buffed and ready to go. Well the buff pulled me up from my knee to a standing pose and when I tried to move .. Nothing.

Stood there pressing harder and harder on the arrow key trying to figure why I wasn't moving and someone finally said. "I think your still resting!" DUH LOL I'd been playing for over 2 years at the time and a noob without even a 3 month vet badge had to rescue me from myself. THAT was my funniest and goofiest moment
  15. 60 at that point you battle Mecha Godzilla and really do need that Japanese Army backing you up. LOL No seriously it depends on the AT, their power choices, and how you slotted but as mentioned any AT can solo on heroic to level 50. I have some Defenders that I designed as Team Support and they'd solo so slow I just don't do it. But I have taken Controllers, Tanks, Scrapper, and even Blasters to 50 level and was still soloing effctively the whole way. Can get more interesting and a little more challenging but develop the right strategies and you can take any AT to 50 and still solo along the way.
  16. Me three

Ohhh I am going to be an internet download queen? poses in a very sexy intoxicating manner and smiles seductively. Your getting my good side right? Oh wait they are all good sides.

    hehehe

Always has trouble with that darn alarm since hers seems to constantly be sounding .... Sack N Racks huh? Finally someone appreciates me for more than JUST my mind
  17. Ummm I only battled him once on Test with a 50 level WP/DB Tanker and stood pounding on him for an hour without dying once. The main problem then, an GOD I hope once the dang patch finally finishes downloading I can test, was his Unstoppable. I think we had him down to almost no hit points at least 5 or 6 times and then UNSTOPPABLE! No one could touch him for what seemed an eternity and by the time it dropped he was back at full strength and it was time to start all over again. I did go through a few greens and blues but nothing worse than any other AV I have faced .. we just didn't have the DPS to take him out. He's not a killing machine but unless they listened and changed his powers its one long hard battle trying to defeat him.
  18. Fedor!

Scoops up the adorable Sack man and gives big boobie hugs (okay NOT SO BIG boobie hugs)

Hi Cutie heheh Think Detra will smack me around for using her signature moves? Oh what the heck she gave me hugs Friday in Skyway and I hugged her back .. how mad can she get?

*stumbles down the stairs completely confused at the fact that neither emmi or wicked wendy noticed he was in that shower b4 either of them.*

Um good morning everyone. Emmi and Wendy we may need to talk.....

I would really like to know which one of you has my Machetty? It was there with me in the shower, then you two came in, left and it was gone. Is it payment of some sort for the shower show?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Innocently (yeah right) bats hers eyes and produces the machette from behind her back.

Oh was this your's I wondered where it came from. /e hand back the wicked looking blade. So that was YOU in the shower this morning? I swore it was Ramone so Ummm can we just keep all that stuff I said and did quiet?

FOR THE RECORD: (and cause I luvs Emmi and don't want her thinking she's not fabulous in any way) Ramone is Sara's Phantasm/Pool boy/Boytoi and yes he's very thin for a man but then he isn't really one now is he? No other discussions of the size or shape of Ramone and his features will be presented at this time.

    heheheh
  20. A strange looking wabbit wanders buy standing upright and munching on a carrot as Wendy feeds the yellow birdie crumbs from a day old cookie

"what up doc?" he smiles at her and she grins back wondering who the short bald man with the shot gun is that appears to be stalking da wabbit.

Is there something funny in the coffee today? Animals keep talking to me and there is small small kid named Cartman at the door selling day old cookies. Kids swears like a Marine an I swear he has shoes but no legs that I can see.

hehe Don't worry about it Emmi they were old ones and most of the time I let Ramone wear them anyway. Keep him from stretching out my good stuff.

Wait! what was the black flash I just saw? You know what? "I did, I did, I did see a Puddy Tat!"
  21. Been around here long? Bugs are unfortunately a fact of life and while they TRY fixing them half the time fixing one only leads to another. Your rant has been going on for as long as I have been playing and starting another thread about it will accomplish nothing.

Issue 15 and then 16 will release when ready and any bugs they can fix before that will be but asking them to fix every bug anyone experiences prior to that is not going to happen. We have no idea what the actual total amount of staff they have on hand at NC Soft is or how many are assigned to what tasks. For all you or I know 2 or 3 people may be doing absolutely nothing day in and day out but working to fix bugs while a completely different team is working on the release. We are still getting maintenance shut downs on servers twice a week so someone has to be doing that and thats when bug patches are loaded.

Programing knowledge aside.. since I admit to having none ... we are talking anout a company that produces games not a huge conglomerate with hundreds of thousands of employees. A certain number of their smaller staff is detailed to customer support including support to the forum and some of those may have only limited or even no programing abilities. Others are involved in financial issues, ect. To turn any profit at all I am sure the staffing is kept at a minimum so for all we know a handful of actual employees may be all that are working on the issue releases. Is COH buggy? laggy? sure but one post here demanding all of them are fixed ASAP doesn't do a thing except frustrate you more when it isn't met with a quick response.
  22. Slowly recovers from the shock of Emmi stumbling into the shower with her and never even noticing she was there and towels off, dries her hair and brushes it, applies sensible makeup and dresses quickly. Heads down for coffee and grins at Emmi waving and not saying a word.

Morning all Gosh what a week I barely spent much time on at all aside from the Static team on Tuesday. Did manage to get Zat my Ill/Emp to 50 but she was only 5 bars away and had a ton of Patrol XP to help. Looking forward to tomorrow night.

Hmmm I wonder if at some point today Emmi will notice she's wearing my undies not hers? Shrugs and stares out the window, sipping her coffee, at the small yellow birdie that keeps saying "I tot I taw a Puddy Tat"
    Giggles

Meh, just run content with foes that are 47+. No need to farm for them, as you'll have just as good a chance in a TF, mission, or on Cimerora's walls. You can't really farm purples... they just drop randomly. I have had ONE drop since they came out, and I play in the 47+ range quite often (though I do have severe altitis). It's all the luck of the draw.

That pretty much sums it up nicely. I had one character that got 2 purples in one weekend running 47+ missions . The first was on an AV team in PI the 2nd was doing the ITF in Cimerora. Sold both for an emormous amount of Influence. I have other 50s that have never had a single Purple drop. It's all random just keep attacking the right level villains and you MAY get lucky.
  24. I have to go with Ragin' Rebel my just turned 50 level SD/SS Tank. I mostly play Female characters since I am one but have a few males.. Reb is one of those. His Bio explains he mutated and now had the ability to fly and of course super human strength. I think what I love most about him is the last line of his bio... Its a quote from him during some interview "I fight for freedom and justice. and just maybe if I get famous enough I can meet Carey Underwood cause I think that girl is real purty" OH BTW did I mention Reb is from New Orleans? LOL and obviously into Country Music
  25. I have to agree and say LEAVE the AE buidling and learn the game. AE was, supposed to be, created for older players with multiple 50 levels that were tired and bored with original content they have seen dozens of times or more. It can be fun, it can lead to fast leveling but it does skip some added bonuses only found outside. Run the TFS.. Posi, Synapse, Sister P, Citadel, Manticore and Numina and you earn the TF Commander Accolade (you just 5% to your total hit points something you can never get on a farm). Do the Moonfire TF along with acquiring a couple Exploration badges, a History Badge and the Spelunker badge (from a contact) and with a little hunting on Striga Island for the rest of your war wolves and Vamprii you have the Atlas Badge and a 5% increase in endurance. You'd be amazed at the amount of temporary powers you can add doing certain mission in Striga and Croatoa, Founders Falls as well ... I have characters with an entire Icon tray full adding extra defenses and attacks I can use .. None of that exists in the AE building. Fight some Rikti during invasions and grab the accolade for that ..it gives you Elusive Mind a permanent Accolade power that provide Mez protection when facing villains like the Rikti, COT, Carnival of Shadow. etc.

At some point you'll meet and become friends with other players from those TFs or other teams you find and can actually team with them on a regular basis.

Want more costume options including some really cool looking weapons? Take out enough of the right Villain group and you can get them. The Katie Hannon TF gets you a witches hat. Take out an elite Zombie during one of their invasions and earn a Pumpkin head costume piece. There are a LOT of things out there beyond Atlas Park that make the game enjoyable and you've been here 3 days. Go find them.
