Yeah, but you're just a controller newb. What do you know :P
  2. I believe Moonbeam will crit from hide. That doesn't make the 7+ second cast time any less forgivable, though.

When I went to try and solo the Clockwork King with my Earth/Storm, I expected it to be a cakewalk with Stoney taking no damage from his attacks. I can assure you that Stoney is /not/ invulnerable to Psi damage.

I have, um, quite a few. It's my favourite superhero trope.
  5. I did the Freaklympics are with a 6 man pug last night. About 2 hours, but we could have done it in 1:30 if not for a couple nasty mapserver issues.

it was 34 merits for everyone and a very enjoyable 'Task Force' (And the winner is: HERO! Wait no!). Too bad I DCed about 5 minutes before the merits and didn't get my reward...
  6. Thanksgiving was last month ya crazy foreigners!

Better to just lower the animation time.
  9. I know it's been said before, but I'd like to chime in on the redundancy of Lord Winter and Winter Lord. Surely the new big-bad can have a different name? King Frost? The Cold King? anything would be better, really.

Do it solo and I'll be impressed.

    Male Walk?

    Is this a rhetorical question?

Stoney definitely takes Psi damage, so I'm guessing the cap is 90% for all.
  14. I guess Ditzy's ban is over now...
  15. Just did Operative Renault's SF, and the two Death Rattle missions are still missing.

    The relevant missions are here.

  19. One other thing: Getting hit with the Hold gives you 10s of knockback protection.
  20. Placate the Singy, break LoS with the boss, and kill him as he runs around the corner.
  21. From my experience (and patching in some theory where experience ends) I would rate the sets thusly:

    Pure Mitigation, SO Potential:
    1 Stone Armour
    2 Willpower, Dark Armour
    3 SR, Invuln, Shield
    4 Fire, ElA
    ...
    5 EA

For Pure Mitigation, Max IO Potential:
    1 SR, Dark, WP
    2 Invuln, Shield, Fire, ElA
    3 Stone, EA

Now, there are obviously other factors in those rankings. Stone has fantastic survivability in Granite, but you have to deal with fairly large penalties. Dark can theoretically obtain the highest damage mitigation in the game, but Endurance is a major limiting factor. Fire and Elec trade off some durability for increased offensive options. Etc etc.

All things considered, 'Best' is highly subjective. Instead of asking what is 'best', define what you want out of your brute and then ask "What is best, for me?"

    Resistance resists resistable resistance debuffs.

It doesn't matter if it is Damage Res, Recharge Res, or Mez Res.
