In my experience the players who don't take IB are the ones who don't do a good job of keeping SB up or really doing anything outside of blasting with FS. It's a red flag.
Yes, cuz it's a kins job to make sure all team members have ID and SB up at ALL TIMES!!!

    *sarcasm off*

-res proc also fists in empty clips... pistols is not the only attack for it. Any DP/Kin can skip pistols and not have trouble with that decision in the future. It has the potential to be quite a proc hog, but not all that nessesary if you don't absolutely care to have it. On slot tight builds or power tight, I'd put it up on the block in a heartbeat... mostlikely in a respec....

Cryo rounds also work great with Kins... Siphon speed constantly applied to a target, with slow effects.... floor a bosses recharge and laugh.

As for chem rounds, FS, blah blah... neutering an AVs damage solo....

Anyone saying that has no clue what they are talking about... you think AVs don't resist such affects at a high rate?

As far as repel goes... I've been playing without it... and here is why... There is sooo much bouncing around as it is to line up Empty Clips, your a) generally not getting hit or b) don't need mobs screwing up what you already have planned out by being tossed by Repel sideways out of the cone... Repel and the heal? Not a good combo... Repel and Transference, FS??? Yeah, lets scatter the group I need to hit for optimal coverage...

But you say, "Turn it on and off when in combat when its needed and not needed!"

Yep, because there is more animation time that I need to include in an already stance heavy blasting set. Getting stuck in animations is easy enough to do already without Repel adding to it... I don't have it and honestly I don't miss it. It's gimmic crutch that people who don't know how to avoid mobs use, I don't need it and it's counterproductive to other things I should be doing...

Suppressive fire... if you leave this out of a build, your absolutely crazy. Let me help some of you out... 4 basalisk gaze set... damage type chance to hold proc, hold type chance to hold proc. occasional mag 6-7 hold? Yep, that would be a peice of crap tool to have in your hands....

But you say "chance for procs doesn't make that really a good plan"...

Awe, and relying on normal ammo for a KB affect isnt a good plan either, but occasionally it happens and when it does I bet youre happy it did... same logic here. Even 1 proc off IOs will hold a boss.... 2 procs means it happens twice as much with the occasional overlap.

It's a great set... it's also new, and as it goes on, you will see an evolution of posts that speak of how to play the set for newbs as well as builds and live server players...

It may take some time to adjust to, but the reality is... some of Kins powers were useless prior to the release... it sure doesn't make them useful now *cough Repel*

And I say this as a player who had a lvl 50 Kin first (see signature)out of all of them.
  2. Group TP you and yours right into the mobs!

No, srsly, that's what I do. Ninja/Storm.... I just use Group TP to get them right into the action. They open with their hardest attacks when they have the choice.
  3. And then you break out on blackheads, clogging up said pores without your knowing.... you go to use your exploding shuriken aura.... and......

    *poof*

Good news, you don't have to deal with the acne anymore...

Bad news, the medical reclaimators can't find enough of you to piece together...
  4. Everyone complains about ninjas being too eratic...

You can never get them where you want them and if you do you have to macro everything right...

Get group TP and the macroing issue is gone... your pets are where you want them. Heck, steamy mist and a stealth IO and your golden by jumping into crowds and not agroing any... just your pets...

Ninja/storm isnt hard by any strech of the imagination, people just need to expand their playstyles and learn new techniques. Not all the primaries have to play the same.
  5. After my bots/traps was 50, my ninja/storm was born. With Group TP, it's become my absolute favorite MM combo yet. I would put this as the most advanced combo avail (and I have pretty much all of em) and absolutely the most chaotic.... and ABSOLUTELY the greatest amount of fun.
  6. It is in the announcement several weeks ago...

I can only debate what I have read.

But that sounds like what I hoped. Just want the stupid item pack. Hate to purchase and miss out. *prestige power slide being my example*
  7. And if that is how its ment, will there be an option to buy the item pack seperately?
  8. My interpretation of the announcement could go either way actually.

The identifier word that is in question could refer to the bonus pack that comes with it being AVAIL, when going Rogue goes live.

Go read it, and put the identifier on the pack. Makes sense.

If you have an official word someplace other than the announcement that defines that, Id love to know where to find it.
  9. Im very happy the prepurchase has started!

My question is, because I like to be smart about things...

The current version is the standard version for $29.99. There is also the Complete Collection which will be on sale for $39.99. This will include an item pack and a month of game play for $10 more (a $25 value(ish)).

When can I expect to prepurchase the Complete Collection so I can get in on the prebuying playing with Pistols?

    Scythe Class!!!

Well, to take it out of real world context...

It can be anything it's programmed to look like. 1h 2h... dual... shoot flames out of the tip.. cause the wielder to shoot flames out his bum...

The point is, why are so many people stuck on what it is in reality when we arnt dealing in reality?

Aura heals are really the big gainer because you can heal yourself and all your minions.

All of this is working as intended though.
Yes, lots of things that were originally working as intended have received changes... It doesnt mean this praticular power will be immune always, just currently.

Then all you need is animations for poles. At which point a lot of people might be happy with skins for the poles that included a scythe. All of that sounds doable.
Tell you what, I'll beat you with a pole and then with a scythe, and you let me know if you STILL cant tell the difference.
  13. I have to agree. with 2 recharge your looking at 15 sec up, 15 sec down...

    Bodyguard+Regen?

The reason it's so great as it's basically 6x stronger because of BG. Damage split 7 ways, all 7 ways getting regen.

Not that I should say this... I fear what they should ever do about it.

    Bodyguard+Regen?

Thugs/Pain is a powerhouse for the game, newb or vet. BG and the regen buff just make you a monster for alphas that you can laugh off. I love love love mine.

I am a MM ***** thou... so I am bias.
  16. I usually give this testimony to any who want to try Ninja/Storm.. Group TP.

Every fight starts with Group TP and a freezing rain ready to be targeted at my feet the instant I jump. Im in bodyguard, pets agro instantly, hits are shared, mobs are scattering out of FR, caltrops have been dropped generally. Mobs run, die, I move on.

Elite or AV, does no one just kill everything else then toss up hurricane and hit (f)ollow anymore?

And yes to Thunderclap. Good times.
  17. I don't name my pets, after you name them you begin to care for them, and like a true mastermind, they are all but pawns to do my bidding, not to hang out and get a beer with after the mayhem!

If I was going to name them, I would call them all "Red Shirt".

I rock a nin/pain MM, he's at lvl 36 right now, first toon I ever made. Stil play him, still love him. World of pain is win.
Your Ninja fu is weak! Storm makes ninjas pretty unstoppable and its quite a rollercoaster of fun to play... toss in group TP and your ninjas are everywhere you want them to be, right with your world of storm debuffs.

Easiest MM to make is a Thugs/Pain. If you want to get into the AT and discover the ins n outs... I always suggest it to people wanting to try MMs.

    ?/Storm

Ninja/Storm with group teleport. Absolutely one of the funnest MMs I have ever played.

Let me explain... One of the biggest issues with ninjas is getting them into melee so they can do the most damage. group TP fixes this issue, as well as keeping minions within steamy mist and auras.

My usual lead off is hit group TP and Q freezing rain. Hurricane is also very useful in doing this for the -acc debuff that all the mobs will get nailed with.

It's absolutely the wildest ride of a MM I have ever played and loved it!
  21. Uhh....

Wow. Impressive to say the least.

Dual Pistols, you had me at tier 9. You had me at tier 9.\

welp, time to figure out what to pair it with. Or, I just make a DP/Kin corr.

I don't think I have a corr. It's been a while. No wait, yes I do. An Ice/Kin Corr. Forgot all about her. Way to many chars, I don't remember em once they hit 50 and the shelf.

Well, I can say, it would be a set I would play as a blaster and Corr.

And Demon Summoning, have to have the MMs. I love my MMs.

    I love them all.

Except Defenders. Defenders I don't. Useless creatures those defenders.

And don't get your panties in a bunch... yes you... you reading this right now with your panties wadding up as you're reading...

    I was just kidding. Sheesh.

    Energy Melee/?

I personally have an EM/Nin that I love. As far as I am concerned, WP can bite me, and bite me hard. Don't get me wrong, I love WP, on a scrapper, but for a stalker, Nin just is an all around nicer choice with more tools to use for greater havoc, esp for pvp (which is what I built this char specifically for). I scrap with the best of them on teams and pull off lots of fun tricks solo.

Em... My attack chains generally end up being ET, Barrage, TF, Bonesmasher.... and the occasional dark blast/vet attack. Usually start fights with AS though... as well as toss out a spare one here and there as placate is up; Shadow Meld makes for fun times to AS in the middle of combat.
