  1. I'll try to answer as best I can using my "crazed" logic and from what I've found to work best...for me.

    Regarding FS...I've been asked numerous times while teaming how its slotted and when I answer, I tend to get the same "WHAT?" reaction. In the beginning when I first reached 50, FS was fully slotted with 3 ACC and 3 RECH IOs. As I started to get the ACC and RECH bonuses from various sets, I found that I was able to remove those slots from FS and have it still be very effective. With 150% global rech (with hasten) and 102% global ACC, it really does perform great with only the 1 rech. Its almost seeing is believing. But again, it wasnt always slotted like that. It is true, I dont ALWAYS hit 10 targets in a group but since it stacks and recharges so quickly, I have no problems keeping myself and other melee teammates at the dmg cap most of the time....assuming we're moving fairly quickly from mob to mob.

    While I tend to agree that the 6% increase in heal doesnt make too much of a difference, every little bit does count. Most of the time, I only need to use my heal when absorbing the alpha. From there, I'm able to keep a group stunned or held using flashfire or cinders without much danger to myself or the rest of the team. My logic kinda goes....the better the heal, the better the regen, the less you'll have to use it. I'll look into the Call of Arms set. Thats a set I'm not too familiar with.

    Reactive Armor....just not a big fan of the set. The bonuses are so small that in my build, they just dont see to make that big of a difference. If I was built more for defense (maybe with the stone mastery), then maybe I would take a look at that set. But as it stands, 2-3% def just doesnt do much. Having the extra recovery and +end enables me to spam more things prior to having to use transference. Yeah, its not needed like you said, but the extra is nice to have. I think last I looked my recovery was around 4.05. That coupled with end of around 120 makes for a lot of attacking before needing transference.

    Hotfeet....I can't use another ARM piece there because of the rule of 5. I already have 50% rech from 5 other purple sets. I chose the Eradication piece mainly because it was something I had laying around the base at the time I was looking for something to slot. There might be something better, but it can't be a 5th ARM piece.

    Does any of that make sense? lol...i dunno. I can understand how the imp. armor set seems useless to a kin who has transference, but using that set enables you to go longer before having to use it.

    If said person is running Mac OS X, then he's as safe as one could get from viruses. Its probably THE most secure OS out there.

    I took my Soulbounds off last night and placed them on the market in hopes I could get something decent for them before their value totally goes through the floor. To my surprise, some are still going in the 20M range, but most have already dropped to really low values.

    Purple farm

    Farming the wall in Cim has always been the most lucarative way for me to find purples....

    Havent done it in awhile tho so I can't comment on the current drop rate. A few months ago...it was awesome. I would easily get 1-2 purples in a few hours spent.

  9. Hmmm...this is a farm build?

    First thought....ditch repel for cinders. You also should consider swapping out the Doc Wounds set for Touch of the Nictus. You want transfusion to hit and Doc Wounds offers no ACC in the set.

    I think I would take cinders, move the unbreakable set there and replace Char with Decimation (40s) if I recall correctly. I myself have the Apocs in there, but since you have Fireblast with those, I like the Decimations for ranged attacks as next best.

    Well once every 3-4 groups is better than not having it at all. And once you start getting your +rech up, you'll notice it coming back a lot faster. I think I can hit mine every other group or so. If you don't have siphon speed, that helps too. I know I see a lot of fire/kins without it and just shake my head wondering....why.

    I don't have the ability to plug in your build here at work, but if you have both super jump and superspeed, I would get rid of super jump. To me, both are not needed as long as you have hurdle.....especially in a farm build where you're not running up a bunch of stairs of moving up and down in caves.

    If you have superjump to get to acrobatics, then just slot a -KB IO in SS and you have your KB protection.

    Instead of just posting the code, can you post the build itself so we're able to look w/o having to plug it in mids?
  11. 1) Personally, I think siphon power + char + impage + fireball is more than enough to drop bosses. It might take a few seconds longer than if you had fireblast, but it works well enough. However, being as impatient as I am, I sometimes would like to have fireblast. Generally when I run farms, I'll be onto the next mob while the other team members drop the last boss so it makes no huge difference to me. I dont stick around waiting for every last crit in the mob to drop before moving on to the next.

    2) A fire/kin without cinders? I don't know how one would manage....to be honest.
  12. Is anyone able to stealth/TP on this team other than Cherry? If not, we might be fighting our way to the tree rather than tping. I dont think going to be able to make it to the tree w/o being killed in order to tp the entire team.

  14. No purple sets are "needed" for any build. I've seen some good fire/kins that have none what-so-ever. But....they sure do make a difference.

  15. I guess I should back up and explain a little. FS wasnt always slotted with just the 1 rech IO. My build has been respeced easily 4-5 times. When I was able to get the +15% acc and +10% rech from the purple sets, I was then able to take off slots from FS.

    So in the beginning, I did have FS slotted up similar to what the OP has in his build. But over time, I was able to remove slots as my global acc and rech improved. Its to the point now where only 1 rech IO is needed for it to be effective.

    Ewwww. As you load up on +rech and +acc bonuses, the need for extra slots in FS dimenishes.

    I have 1 rech IO in FS and it works great that way.
  20. Infact last night I was running a lvl 54 lt freakshow farm pretty easily. You dont really "need" defense as a kin. You need more +rech and +acc so your flashfire and cinders comes back quickly for each mob.

    You can do this without softcapping defense. Its more about knowing how to play your kin than having a certain amout of defense needed to get through the farm.

  22. Just used mids for the first time. Didnt care about where I put slots at what lvl since I've done pretty much everything under lvl 50 with this toon. For the most part, I only play him on the upper lvl TFs and to farm. I might even have some wrong pset pieces listed since I'm at work and can't remember off hand what EXACTLY is slotted. But for the most part, this is pretty damn close.
