Before we got Street Justice, Martial Arts got an animation update with punches instead of kicks.
GEEZ WHY EVEN BOTHER, WE COULD TOTALLY MAKE PUNCHING CHARACTERS WITH MA WHY WASTE RESOURCES MAKING SJ.
Just because we can "fudge" abilities using existing powersets doesn't mean that newer sets shouldn't be made. -

The logistics of how? Beats me, but it's pretty common in comics and animation.
I was thinking of something like that once. Kinda like, you would have three attacks and three toggles.
One toggle would turn your fists into large mallets, and that would cause all your attacks to do smashing damage.
Another toggle would turn your fists into giant blades, and that would cause all your attacks to do lethal damage.
etc. etc.
Hell, looking at the "flash step" power in the latest blaster secondary, maybe we could get a power in that lefts you jump between points, and turns you into a giant ball. -

Same. Although, weren't the shivans attacking Galaxy City connected to the Battalion too? I'm like..50/50 sure on that though. It could mean that the Battalion use a variety of species in their attack.

Green SS is nice. But SS without the glow altogether would be better.

The only thing bad about Martial Combat, is that now I really don't have a reason to pick anything else.
Gee, do I want a set with a large KB, a build up auto power, and Mez break, and a short range teleport (among other things)
or watered down versions of other melee sets with some aim or build up.
gee, I wonder.

People aren't simply complaining that they're being praised, they're complaining because instead of making your hero do deeds worth being praised, they made the signature heroes retards, and then praised you for being the least retarded of them.

Screw On Head is great. Really, I think most of the Mignola-verse would probably work just fine for this sorta thing. Maybe not Lobster Johnson, and probably not Baltimore, himself, but all the weird monsters he fights would do quite well.
And I love brainstorming and world/character building just as much as I love actually playing.
I just need to make a character now. Too many ideas, too little time. I've got it narrowed down though. I still have that fish character, although seeing as how this is partially Hellboy inspired, a fish character might be a little too on-the-nose. I was also thinking of a female frankenstein-esque creature named something like Shelly, with Electrical Melee. Or the Flat-woods Monsters.
Or mothman....hmmm now that the shoulder fur is being added to all the shoulder options I have an idea..... -

Exclusives are all fine and dandy on their own right, but costume exclusives are just not the right way to do it. You know, since pretty much the majority of the appeal of this game over other MMOs is its rampant customization.
If you want to make something exclusive, just make more pets, or redundant forms of travel powers. Dont hold valuable costume pieces back behind transparent gates. -
These seems right up my alley. Count me in! I do have a fish character I've been trying to get off the ground, with little luck on the name. But I love Hellboy, classic movie monsters, and interesting species.

It's like the difference between the Tanker top, and the Tank Top. They're both tops, and they're both suppose to represent cloth or plastic, but the Tanker top is painted on, and the tank top has raised edges where it meets the skin. Also, the tanker top doesn't work well with lighter tones (white being shaded with brown etc.) where the tank top is a solid color. -

Redside doesn't equal "grunge and spikes" all the time. I play primarily redside myself and not only do I see more villains in tights than not, I would KILL for more tights/masks. So don't even try to speak for "redside" -

-People still farm, although the "beginning level" farms have faded out and been replaced by the DFB trial. A low level trial that... you already appear to know about it.
It's like AE farming, but without being as lazy. Keyword as.
-Zones are still the same, you still go from Atlas Park to Kings Row to Steel Canyon etc. KR is usually skipped as once many people are done with the DFB they've already outleveled Kings Row.
-Teaming is generally the same. The new Group Finder doesn't really work so you're still going to be spamming broadcast.
But hey! There's a specific LFG channel now, so that helps.
-Some people still hang around Atlas, but since DFB its too spammy for much conversation. The "big" hangout place is still, regrettably, Pocket D.
-Also, Incarnate stuff is pretty easyish to get into, and theres some cool powers and costume/emotes to unlock, so its worth your time if you're bored. Forewarned though, you're either going to have Trial your eyes out, or spend months in Dark Astoria slowly slowly slowly doing missions there.
