I don't think how many know about the event really matters. Most people who are unaware of Tanker Tuesdays would also be unaware of the plaque, so it wouldn't even effect them. -
The event takes place on Champion but it's not just a Champion event. Many players, myself included, have created a character there just for Tanker Tuesdays.

Anyone else having problems with costume colours?
Here's picture of my problem. The smaller picture on the left is my costume as it looks in the creator and "choose costume" window. On the right you can see how it actually looks, with the blue missing from the chest detail and wrong colour gloves. -

I was disappointed that I exhausted everything outside of the TF in less than an hour. You'd think with how much it was hyped this was the reconstruction of the Parthenon or something, but it turns out to be seriously underwhelming.

The zone is basically just a setting for the TF. It's much more immersive than just jumping into a portal or clicking on a crystal. I like it, and hope they add more "mini-zones" of different eras. -
I don't think anyone should get too excited about "custom farm maps", I think this feature will be more of a side-game, not for xp or drops or badges. Purely for fun, and fun it will be.
But I could be wrong. -
Great stuff, I'm loving the push to make the game more user-friendly, especially for new players. Lack of information leading to uninformed decisions has always been my number one gripe about the game.

Getting the info faster won't get Issue 12 live any quicker, so we might as well just relax and take the info as it comes.
I mean, they could give us info on Issue 13 and 14 as well, but all that would do is make the wait for those issues seem even longer. The same applies to I12. -
This is great news and a long-needed change. It will really improve the early game for new players who didn't realize they could skip the Hollows.

I'm loving all the nice improvements in this issue. The new content is just an extra bonus.

Count me in favour of re-working some of CoH's early content. I don't mind some other content getting pushed back if it makes the game friendlier to new players.
Overall, it's not a hard game, but some of the biggest challenges you will face are in the first ten levels, and that's a mistake. New players are immediately thrown against Vahzilok, given missions deep in the Hollows at level 5, or deep within a forest maze in Perez Park at level 7.
Veteran players know how to deal with this, but new players don't. -

That's no longer true. This is a paid expansion. A very small one, but it's still extra content for an extra price. -
Great to hear real numbers are coming. That will make the game infinitely more user-friendly, which will go a long way towards bringing in more players.

This is pretty interesting news, I'm not really sure what it means to the average player yet, if anything.
If they really are getting more people and resources working on the game, I have one big request: Before working on any major changes, assign a team to streamline the game. Better ingame documentation, more intuitive game systems.
So when the "big push" brings in all those new players, the game is ready for them!
