Also, just to address a common question that comes up when we do these exclusives, is why we put them out on MMORPG.com first. We do this to gain exposure for the game. We host articles such as this as an exclusive on a gaming website and then will host the same information here on our website shortly thereafter.
So, if you don't want to go to MMORPG.com to view the video or screenshots, you'll be able to find them on the CityofHeroes.com website by the end of the week.

I thought a Shield Bash was out? I saw it in the video. Was I mistaken?

That's probably Shield's version of Brawl so you don't have to redraw if you have a weapon.

Good point, didn't think about that. Though I would think they would have used the non-shield bearing hand...
Could just be an old animation from when they were considering bash instead of the shield charge.
Anyway, both shield and pain look good. I'm very excited to start my Shield/Mace tank, got the name and look already set and everything.

Nice. Pain domination seems to have the right kind of look. The elemental flame shield shown looks different than the one I saw in the character creator the last time. Smaller, more translucent and less solid looking. I'm thinking it's a different shield (or, lets hope a shileld with the "translucent flame" skin added).
I suspect the shield bash was a version of brawl.

It is much more in line with the fire swords, and I prefer the version we just saw by leaps and bounds. The "magma" shield is a unique look, but t one I wouldn't have actually used. I'm hoping both are versions we'll have, as I'm sure there are those that think the exact opposite.

I was really hoping that a shield bash would be the brawl. This would make me really happy if it were true.

Shields look ok. The amount of different shields BABs has put in make it a set I'll at least look at.
Pain Domination, meh. Don't misunderstand me, it looks fine and the powers I've seen in it sound pretty interesting to be on the receiving end of. It's just that it's villain side only so that's the biggest letdown, but even if it were hero side, I doubt I'd play it. I don't do well with click heavy buff/debuff sets.
The power sets themselves seem very well done, just not my cup of tea, though I may have to try a Shield tank at some point.
