Hi,
Just want to check how does Elec/Dark Scrapper works out at end game?
The set seems to work pretty well together, esp Stacking Stun effects using Oppressive Gloom + Thunder Strike/Lightning Clap. -
Try this:
1) Static field a bunch of mob which has KB resist
2) Turn on Choking Cloud
3) Set Jolting Chain on auto-fire
4) Reset your Static field whenever it runs out.
Watching bunch of +2 mobs falling and standing up like Domino and not being able to do anything is comical. -
Yeah, well it is probably pretty similar to how you would play it with Oil Slick from TA. I guess the choice is between 1 Oil Slick vs 2 resist debuff (Sleet + Heat Loss) after you do the wormhole routine.
-
Is it possible to perma-energize for Electric Armor?
-
But I always wanted a Fluffy + Spectral Terror combo......
-
Fire armor/Fire vs Elec armor/Fire
Which 1 will make a better farming build? -
Spine/Elec vs Spine/Fire
Which 1 will be a better for farming? -
Actually, I was thinking of Dark/Ice/Dark setup.
To hit debuff + Resist debuff + double slow (tar patch + ice storm) to keep mob within AOE effect. If you have a Kin nearby for FS goodness = total pwnage. Only issue I have is that it will be harder to get higher recharge rate because I don't have Siphon Speed.
The whole idea is to have Ice Storm up for every pull. -
I was wondering if Kin/Ice combo would be as effective in terms of damage as compared to Kin/Arch
RoA is 100% Lethal with a good recharge rate, it recharges at around 15 seconds. For Ice, Ice Storm (50% lethal, 50% cold), it recharges at around 15 seconds as well if you have a good recharge rate. On top of that, you will have another Nuke on hand (Blizzard). With Transference, it is not hard to follow-up Blizzard with another Ice Storm to stack your damage over a 25 feet area. Hence, is it worth taking up Kin/Ice instead?
Anyway, just a side track, if I am using Ragnarok (KD proc), will the proc be calculated on at the start or the Ice Storm or would the chance to proc be calculated throughout the duration of the Ice Storm? -
So I could conclude that, during the cast time of Aid Self, as long as I dont get hit, I should be able to perform a Aid Self?
-
I am wondering which build to take assuming that I am just planning to do solo farm on level 52 Lts.
-
Hi,
I have a SD/SS tank. I have managed to work out some open slots for me to pick up Aid Self.
However, I am wondering how I should slot it, so that I could effectively use it. -
Well this is the other side of the story of some1 that gave up the set.
Until you get Lightning Storm, Storm/Elec is a really weak combo. Hurricane is fun and help you to survive, mastering it takes a lot of patience especially when you have to kill something on an open map where there is no corners for you to push your enemy into. Lightning Storm does KB. You can lessen the KB effect by taking hover which allows you to position your Lightning Storm higher but that also means that you will be constantly spending your time positioning your toon throughout the fight (grouped or no group).
Tornado is a lovely power to have. It works best when your soloing, esp bosses and EB. But in larger crowds, you end up chasing mobs most of the time. In groups, you usually wont find a use for it unless you have the enemy really well immb with -kb or as a panic button when your group is getting wiped and everything goes (tornado is amazing for knocking stuff around to give some reaction time for your teammates)
Personally, I only find Storm control useful as a secondary set for trollers. I would recommend either earth or plant control. -KB effects on holds and immb helps with deployment of your Lightning Storm + tornado, so as to maximise the dmg of both powers. My personal favourite is still plant/storm where creepers make an excellent positioning tool for Lightning Storm. You can just stay put with your creepers and lightning storm comfortably deployed while waiting for your tanks to bring in the mob. Hurricane + gale can be used to knock things back into your creepers if needed.
You will be amazed how much value you can add your team in such a setup. -
Hi, I am trying to figure out a build for my Kin/Arch fender.
I am considering getting the Elec EPP. I will probably be in melee range most of the time.
Please feel free to share you build. Any help is greatly appreciated. -
Quote:For me, I skipped both Grant Cover and OWtS.I went with Air Superiority and Flight over Combat Jumping & Super-jump, which hurts me a bit, defensively, but I can't recall the last time I died outside of some of those nutty AE missions. Of course, I did manage to luck into the +3% defense IO recipe early on.
But my SD/SS tanker is only 35, so I have a little more room to go. At this point, I really doubt I'm going to take Hand Clap, and I might skip Hurl as well, but I'll almost certainly get Foot Stomp, and One With the Shield. Of course, if I take OWtS, I'll have every SD power. (I took Grant Cover because even though I only group up rarely, it is very nice to have to help protect the squishies if I'm not holding everything's attention.)
I skipped Grant Cover becos when I am the first 1 to jump into a grp, I usually has no issue holding aggro. If I missed some, taunting will cover the rest.
As for OWtS, I just don't like having a skill which I can't put recharge enhancement in. Besides that, I have yet to find a need for the skill. Even when I am tanking level 54 bosses in AE, I rarely die. If you're properly IOed (not referring to those 3 billion dollar builds, of cos), it shldnt be hard for you to tank a grp of 54 bosses for around 3-4 mins by yourself (of cos, with the help of some blue and green insp for times which I keep with me most of the time).
The only time I see a need of this skill if you are tanking AVs but then again, usually you will not bring a PUG and you shld be covered in terms of heals + buffs in such situation.
Anyway, if you have weaving + tough running, as a SD tank, you should be able to survive long enough most situation even if you are not IOed. Unless you are tanking a map with lots of def debuff mob. In such a case, I usually drop really fast if not assisted. -
Footstomp is gooooooooood. I seriously dont know how people could live without it.
It is fast recharge (hasten + 3 recharge SO, u can have it up every 8 seconds. Can get it down to 6 sec with IOs).
Good dmg (i hit level 53 bosses for 100+ dmg).
Good dmg migration tool. (The more the enemy spend time on their butt, the less dmg u take.)
*****-proof skill to use. (As main tank, u will be surrounded by enemies ALL the time. All u need is to press 1 button, no need to target, no need to select position to attack)
I usually jump into a grp of mob, hit Footstomp to gain aggro, wait till I am surrounded then hit Shield Charge for max dmg. (Maximise dmg buff from AAO) The KB effect of Footstomp is negligible, esp on bosses.
I left out Hurl from my build because I used taunt as my main pulling skill (1 slot with accuracy) Plan to take it after I respec, being able to throw rocks at people just seems too cool to miss.
Weaving and tough is great for SO builds but I am currently saving up inf for IOs, so that I could drop them for something else. Also, tough and weaving drains quite a bit of your end. Rage crash is the main issue which I have so far with my SD/SS, so lesser toggle will help alot (so does conserve energy). -
Hum, what is the dmg cap for tanker by the way?
-
I have managed to work out some free skill slots on my SD/SS tanker. I am considering taking up Assault. I am wondering if it is worth it.
-
Was playing around Mid Builder last night and manage to find something interesting. If I skipped Haymaker and Combat jump, I could have enuff slots to put in First Aid and at the same time have space for Tough and Weaving and also my Fire Epic Powerset.
The only issue with that is, my ST attacks will be consist of Boxing, Jab and Knockout Blow.
I am currently still trying to work out the details of this new build. -
*Thread hijack alert*
I am wondering if it is possible to softcap all positional without tough and weaving?
I have tried various build but dont seems to get any working. I was planning to take out some of the skills to put in healing. -
Anyway, even thou Creeper can't stacked. It is still useful to have a fast recharge so that you can have it up for as many fights as possible.
-
Creeper cannot be stacked. When you summon the 2nd Creeper, the 1st Creeper dies as the 2nd Creeper is summoned.
