Do you have hide turned on in mids? It can add some deceptive numbers. It's not as easy as one might think to softcap all three with ninjitsu.

I'm currently leveling a kin melee/fire scrap and it's a blast to play. not sure how it'll do in the late game though. katana/ dark, fire, or regen is great too as divine avalanche covers for a lot of the defense problems (parry in bs does too but katana is faster and imo more fun). soul mastery's shadow meld helps a lot too.

These aren't an exploit in the sense that they aren't taking advantage of an unintended glitch in the system such as the rikti communicators, level 10 GM mastermind farms or monkeys. This is no more exploitive than making a high fire resist fire/kin for the Praetorian Demon mish. Since AE farming in general is frowned upon though, the first 2 rules of any farm you like is DON'T TALK ABOUT IT ON THE FORUMS!
It also boggles the mind that you're going to make a toon to be PL'd just to 'help out' with PL'ing, presumably 'helping' by being an extra body to lower the exp per kill. This has Freedom Atlas Park AE baby written all over it.

Related question - I was gone for several months and missed the i19 launch. My first death with a level 50 after returning gave me debt. Am I remembering wrong that level 50's used to continue earning patrol exp? Could have sworn they did before but it wouldn't be the first thing I've 'misremembered' since my return.

Probably easier on a corr to go s/l softcap and close on nrg than ranged given scorpion shield. Should be fine on most things but take a ton of break frees for LGTF.

tough helps a lot on leveling with so's but makes your endurance problems worse. heal self might be a decent option, but you'll need an interrupt in there and with the subpar defense you'll still get interrupted a lot. shield really doesn't shine til it's io'd unfortunately. you should look into io's, a shield can be softcapped on a budget. the super expensive builds are the ones that go for softcap + global recharge.

I'd just settle for a cut to the interrupt time. Not sure if there's a logistical reason it needs to be that long but it's annoying to stand there 10 seconds only to have it interrupted by someone's ouro portal. At least it doesn't grey out when it gets interrupted like the dayjob porters - I often lose 3 charges on those to tp once.

Yep, and accolades take you to 1445, so not a big slotting priority.

I'm leveling a bs/regen now - he just hit 43. I've had achilles heal procs in both hack and slice for 15 levels or so and it makes a big difference.

Yeah Triumph is bad. The reason there's no widespread outcry is because the forum-only trolls would immediately turn the thread into a q and a on connection speeds and graphics cards despite protests that it's happening to everyone.

Edit: please, please do not slot Dark Oblit for -tohit if you take it. If you want to debuff stuff, use Darkest Night. It's much better and has a damage debuff as well. Dark Obliteration is a ranged AoE damage power, slot it as such.[/QUOTE]

Darkest night also uses a lot of endurance. I recently slotted dark obliteration for -to hit just for set bonuses. It now hits for -8 which is like free defense and a great opener on the way to a mob. Not recommended for every toon but nice if you're not dependent on your patron aoe for its damage. Admittedly though this was on a shield broot which i couldn't quite get to softcap after the botz changes, so i didn't need the -damage from darkest night thanks to against all odds.
