Ummm, about NCFail exhausting all efforts to sell CoH....I found this over on Facebook....

I read the message from NCFail and an old saying came to mind....Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.
I saw a video of Boobs and Sluts....er, Blade and Soul. So, we're losing CoH for this Asian crap??? Blade and Soul is targeted for the pre-pubesant teenaged boy and nothing I want to have anything to do with as I grew out of that phase of my life 40 years ago. -
I've also slotted the KB to KD IO in my Assault Bot....I've seen targets get knocked down from the DoT of the burn patches the Assault Bot puts down with his Incindiary Missiles...it's glorious when it happens.

Once I have the 800 points to pick up the power I grab Water Blasting. One question I have is how well does it work with /Ice as a secondary power set?

Sounds like fun...I'll try to be available this Sunday to join in on the fun with Unit 342, my Level 50+2 (or+3 not sure) Bots/FF MM.

I have a level 50 Fire/Eng blaster (my 1st toon) that I started back on May 1, 2004 and was thinking about bringing him out of retirement. What I need is a build that will bring him up to date with all of the new stuff that has come out since last I played him, which was before the invention system was implimented...still have just SO's slotted and the Fitness pool as one of the 4 secondary pools selected. As for the powers he has I couldn't begin to tell you in what order I took them in so I figured it would be best just to start from scratch.

One more thing you should do, and I'm surprised Sandolpan didn't mention it since it's his baby, is go to Sandolphan's Revised MM Numpad Pet Controls and set up your keyboard keypad to control your bots.
I've been using versions of this since CoV went live and love it for the ease of control it gives me over my minions. -

On further study of the respec, the IO sets you picked for Static Discharge will not work as Static Discharge is Targetted AoE damage, not PBAoE damage. -

What I want to know is why they changed the Thug minion looks when I upgrade them? Pre-I8 looked better than Post-I8...bring back the old look.

Four new badges in Faultline (hint - fly through the giant donut). As for the tentacles. These are the same as in the Abandoned Sewer and they are from the Kraken in the middle of said zone. They appear in New Faultline in the patches of oil and junk in the water near the dam.

My Thugs/Dark is currently 28 and has the first 2 attacks (Pistols and Dual Wield) and plan on picking up Empty Clips at 30. I find that I do quite a bit of damage, especially if the targets are in the Tar Patch. Before I had Stamina the attack powers were end heavy, but once I got Stamina I rarely run out of end. My fighting style puts me right in the middle of my shooters while my Bruiser is in the thick of it, meleeing to his hearts content. This puts me in perfect position to blaze away with my twin Desert Eagles and spam Twilight Grasp.

It's an exploration badge that's halfway up Recluse's tower in Grandville. Can't remember the coordinates off the top of my head, but if you go straight up from the base portal, you'll hit it no problem.
So yes, it seems to require some sort of flight, but I haven't searched too hard for another way up there, since my Superspeeder still has half an hour on her Sky Raider jetpack so I personally didn't have to worry about that.

Found it...coordinates for Master of the Airwaves badge are 2726.2, 734.3, 1045.2. Fly straight up from the door leading into the room with the statues of the villians. There is a ledge just below the top of the building on that side. That's where the badge is....Now to watch some television. -

You're kidding right? awesomely fun? not even close
Mayhem Missions dont differ much from a mindless shooter or a hack and slash, all they really are is a bank heist and a cape mission rolled into one except the only big change is now you can break things (which could be done for the entire game not just select missions).
Mayhem Missions are nothing more than a crumb being handed out to draw in a younger crowd (which seems to be working), older more mature gamers need more than mindless smashing.

Nice to know I'm considered young at 47. I enjoy Mayhem missions as a change of pace. Tell you what. You don't like Mayhem missions? Fine, then don't do them. Take them, activate them, then leave. Once the timer ends and you fail the mission, go back to your broker and get you next contact. Or, better yet, stop playing CoH/V altogether and try something that's more your speed, like WoW or SWG, and leave CoH/V to us young people. -

Please note all the above were on Villainous, all solo. This leads me to think that your mission difficulty setting means *nothing* when it comes to the level of the 'hero' after you, it's how much property damage, resisting arrest, and such that you do.

I tested this and your analysis seems to be true. The more damage you do, the higher the level of the hero. A few other bugs I noticed were (on the Founders Falls map):
1: The broker says I have 20 minutes to complete the mission but when I hit the map I have less than 15. It took me less than a minute to fly from the broker to the mission entrance so it should have been just under 19 minutes. I believe the timer should not start until you enter the mission. I also think that we should get 30 minutes instead of 20 to start.
2: Still not getting the extra time for destroying objects. The only thing I got was 30 seconds for resisting arrest, nothing at all for anything else.
3: After I raided the bank I went to the jail to bust out the villian there. Unfortunantly she wouldn't follow me out, denying me the time bonus for busting her out of jail.
4: Leaving the jail I fell through the map. I was able to fly up and get out via the /stuck command but this needs to be fixed ASAP.
5: Mastermind pets are taking too long to go through doors. I had to fly high and wait for 30 seconds for my pets to come out. This is unacceptable as my pets are my offence and defence. -
