I am asking this because I just got the Tier 4 version of this power (45% damage increase) -- I am looking at all my stats now and notice something interesting...
Powers that can do damage with 0 damage slots in it (IE Brawl, Boxing,) are now at 78% damage...
My regular attacks are at 149.6 %...
So is the power calculated twice? 45% + 30% or something? -
Still looking, will toss out a number -- 2.4 Billion.
Any takers? -
Does -Resistance make a -DMG debuff more effective?

Ok so lets toss some numbers out to see if I understand, lets say an AV has 50% resistance to all resistance.
His attack deals 1,000 damage. I have 50% resistance so that effectively makes the attack 500 damage.
A debuff for -DMG is 20%, this means with his resistance it now becomes 10%? So in other words, his attack now becomes 900 damage which I resist 450 due to having 50% resistance myself.
In this case, it translates into a 5% damage resistance? -
A search of Paragon Wiki revealed nothing. This question is probably directed at someone like Arcanaville but if someone knows please share.
So my title says it all, how does -DMG translate in terms of mitigation?
1) Lets say you put a 20% damage debuff on an arch villain, what is the equal to in terms of resistance?
2) How does level effect a damage debuff?
3) Do raid AV's resist these more?
4) Does it debuff special damage (IE Hamidon, Crystal Titan, etC) -
IE does a 51-54 minion have a better chance at Shard drops? Recipes? Salvage? Etc.

Can they be controlled? (Given commands)
Random question, should you save Empyrean Merits or is it ok to use them as threads? Just curious if you get a better conversion rate saving them ? -

and i agree with what you say, different pets can benefit your character differently
-longbow have massive -regen
-storm elementals have massive tohit debuff
-phantoms have adrenaline boost
-rikti have AM
-rularuu boss is ranged and the buff pet gives you hefty +dmg buff for short time, the offensive pet has a mez along with the boss so they can stack holds well too
-cimerorans are very high dmg, but as mentioned are basically entirely melee so they are harder to keep alive
the other have ups and downs too so you need to focus on something specific or work on multiple trees (i think my main has 5 tier 4 lore pets right now lol) -
What is the difference between all the pets? What does the most damage? Do any do -Regen? (Carnival Mistress maybe?)
Just seeking some overall information so I can make a choice of what one I want to slot up. -
Which side does more damage? 75% Chance for Fire 25% chance for -Res or vice versa?
I know the damage resistance stacks up to 4 times, does each time it stack refresh the duration? -

If I buy a level 50 Hamidon ACC/DMG enhancement, do I need to use the enhancement booster after I combine it? In other words, if I want to combine a level 50 Hamidon Enhancer making it a ++ (Combining with another enhancer) will it allow me to do this to a boosted enhancer that was boosted via the booster token?

Not sure if its lag on Freedom but the knockup from KO Blow is barely hitting an enemy up a foot. Did they changed it in the patch?
This was done on -1 Mobs that were NOT flying. -
People are saying the ambush nerd went live with today's patch. I read the patch notes and see no mention of this.
What exactly is the ambush nerf? -
Making a character around the new "Think Tank" and trying to figure out what fits best. Basically, a person's brain was implanted into this mechanical body. In terms of the game, what is the difference with science and technology? Trying to figure what would better fit.

Not seen this mentioned but Scrappers also have a MUCH higher Regen cap then brutes.
I believe its 2500 Brute vs 3500 Scrapper -
Wow Arcanaville's post makes me think differently now... Few other questions.
1) If confuse is that powerful, why even need to permahold an AV? You could perma confuse the Av even when solo and just beat him down since a confused opponent wont hit you.
2) I know its speculation on our parrs, but why haven't Doms gotten Illusion? Is it numerically imbalanced? (Arcanaville?) Would it be OP on Doms? -
Interesting, Confuse works through Purple Triangles? I know Sleep does...

How does mind solo LRSF? Does it need a certain secondary?
How much damage do creepers do? What about with procs?
How do pets hold out in incarnate trials? Dead fast?
Finally, I see you are saying Psionic is good damage now, I have 2 psionics and they still seem low. Also when comparing the attacks to the other secondaries they are low. Am I missing something? Yes I took the melee...

I really like the idea behind Dominators, but I just cannot seem to find one that I like. The closest 50 that I could relate is a Ill/Rad Controller which is pretty big shoes to fill.
With that being said, I have made a couple of Dominators that I've gotten into the 30's but lost interest. They were:
Plant/Energy -- Well, truthfully I haven't really played this character since the Domination changes where it boosted damage. Glancing at it now, seems they REALLY boosted the damage of the attacks, in fact Total Focus has a 22 second recharge use to be 20...
Mind/Psi -- I miss the pets in this one. Also I think what killed it is how little damage I do. I didn't realize that /Psi is such small damage...
Grav/Psi -- Pretty much the same reasoning as above.
My problem mostly stems from a lack of information I think (Ie If I had known Psionic was such small damage I'd have never made one)
So here is what I am looking for if someone is willing to help:
1) What exactly does power boost boost besides the controls? I know it effects heals (Aid Self) but what other powers? Def Powers? Resistance? At level 50 its a 97% boost so that means it double the effectiveness approximately? Does it effect Carrion Creepers? I am mostly just curious what it effects that Dominators get access to? (Stamina? Health? Etc)
2) Would anyone care to summarize the pets in the various primaries? IE, Fire Imps are known to do the most damage, how significant is it to the number 2 damage pet? (Whatever that may be) How survival is the pet (Meaning any of the pets) in the late game? IE, I'd make a choice on a more survivable pet over damage if the damage pet is usually a corpse.
3) What about summarizing the various control of the primaries?
4) Finally, could someone summarize the various secondaries? Basically, overall damage with a range / melee mix, damage with going pure range, and damage with melee.
I had looked at ice as I was thinking of going solely range but then I noticed how small the numbers are on the range attacks...
Anyways, I know this is a lot but we have a very helpful community so I thank you in advance.
Edit: Also could you include thoughts on the AOE capability? -
I noticed they recently changed the way the Dev and Community digest appear. Is it possible to still use the old view? I hate seeing the summary of the thread the post is in.
