Yup, hasten for energize and build momentum. Btw, I don't even notice the end crash for hasten.

As a tank I always take taunt as soon as it's available (ie lvl 10).
As a tank I always 6 slot taunt with Perfect Zinger by level 32 at the latest.
As a tank I always shake my head in disbelief at tanks that
1) haven't taken taunt,
2) don't want to take taunt,
3) say they don't "need" to take taunt,
4) don't "like" taunt, and/or
5) believe taunt is a waste of a power (for whatever reason they try to justify their belief with).
This is just my opinion, but the fact is, as a tank, I think less of you as a tank if you don't have taunt. It's the first power I check another tank for when teamed as it lets me know how much of their slack I'll need to pick up for the team/league. -
That is one crazy build. Unfortunately I don't have access to my Mids for another week as I'm out of town, but I have to say my 50's build does not look like that, and my elec/tw tank at tier 3 x 5 incarnate is already more uber than my tier 4 x 7 elec/ss. Off the top of my head, I can say I would drop that crappy elec field aura thing and take taunt, you're a tank, not a brute!
Second, I don't have crushing blow, found it unnecessary for chaining. Must have hasten, must have cj, I don't have leadership. All my AoE powers, (include spring attack) are 5 slotted with scirroco's, not 6. Toggle primaries are 4 slotted (end rdx, 3 res) I don't slot (wouldn't say never but darn close) any res sets, just generic IOs. Sorry, that's all I can recall off the top of my head. I'm sure others out there have their own uber builds, but WEI TAI TAN is a killing/tanking machine on Guardian.

Quote:I'd like to see that build please!?Most I could get my build up to was 3078 hp. Now while the build has absolutely abysmal accuracy it did manage 87 s/l res, 58.8 f/c res, 60.3 psi, 48.2 negative and obviously cap energy resistance with a 32.5 s/l def bonus and a regen of 40 hps. Would never spend the money to make this but it was a fun experiment. Thanks to the original poster for the idea. (also, I know this thread is a month old but still :P)

Can't speak for anyone else, but, honestly, never been an issue for me. Might be a timezone thing, dunno. I used to lead leagues myself all the time but my work schedule has snafu'd that of late, so I usually just join one of the many leagues that are run by Krag, or CM, or Neph, or Omega, or Tigur, or...you get the picture.
Only the UG trial, LOL I hate that freakin' Avatar. :P Don't fail at all for BAF, Lambda, or Keyes anymore. Only tried the TPN once and didn't know wtf I was doin LOL so failed that, but am looking forward to trying it again. It's a lot of fun. The skilled/vet players I mentioned above (and there are others I didn't mention, forgive me) run leagues extremely well with very few failures. New trials are a learning process, so those can result in several failures until all the strategies are worked out, but we, as a group who league together often, can run the 3 main trials BAF, Lambda and Keyes as (pardon my language) "smooth as whale sh*t in an iceflow."I also know that Krag has run nearly a couple dozen successful UG trials as well, so sooner or later, that trial will also fall under the smooth category (we hope LOL). As for TPN and MoM, they too will fall, oh yes, they will.
It's nice to see another player offering to organize/lead trials Vauluur, opens up more opportunity for everyone. Good on ya. -
So only the females get the gunslinger gloves with skulls? WTF?

Absolutely agree 1000-fold on the pre-tinting thing, although I would much prefer to have a check/uncheck box for the pre-tint option, especially so that it would/could coordinate those pre-tint colors across ALL costume pieces...now THAT would be hugely exciting. I already can spend hours in the costume creator designing/saving looks, can't imagine how much more time I would spend if I was able to select pre-set tints to match across all costume parts...ZOMG!
PS, here's a few pics to illustrate the difficulty in trying to match other costume pieces to the colors of the steampunk backpack - inevitably, I end up saying out loud to my computer, "Why can't there be a "texture options" button/drop down menu?"
I don't know how many times I've totally scrapped a design concept because all the costume parts couldn't be "rusted" or "metallic" or "battle-damaged", etc. Why can't I have metallic bird legs or tiger head? Why can't the celestial costume pieces be battle-damaged? Why can't I have a rusty robot?

Alrighty then...we'll see you in October! Stay safe Guardian, keep up the good fight!

Well I survived 3 weeks afk! I'm back for this week, so look forward to seeing you all in-game. I'll really need to get my CoH fix though, because next weekend I will be going afk again, but this time for possibly as long as 2 months. *sigh*

Hello Guardian gang! Just wanted to let everyone know that today will be my last day in-game for the next 3 weeks. Started a new job and am going out of town for training (will have very limited computer access). Afterwards, will be back for my week off, so hoping to get to pop in-game then, but will be very busy prepping for the move. Then will be AFK again for possibly 1 to 2 months while taking care of new business opening, and moving 2 provinces away.
Be safe, and we'll see ya (hopefully) in time for Issue 21: Convergence.

LOL nice. -

Excited?! Hellz yes! Can't wait.

I don't have vent - but if I'm available I'll try to be there.

Quote:Yeah, I agree the rchg on Energize can feel slow, but I carry 8 green insps for Keyes and have no worries.Well, depending on the set, an extra heal would be quite nice. I know I'm going for Rebirth on my Invuln Tanker. He may be soft-capped to S/L, but I know he's going to be hit by things even then, and it'll be nice to have against those hits that do get in, even with all his resists. The Keyes Trial has only re-emphasized this for me.
I'd be in the same boat for any set that did not have a reasonably fast recharge on its heal: even Energize for Electric Armor feels a little slow after my experience with Fiery Aura and Dark Armor, and I know I'd want it up faster for Keyes. I was using Healing Flames quite often on my one run on Grey Pilgrim. -
-
Just my opinion, but, if as an incarnate tanker I felt I needed or had to take Rebirth for my Destiny slot, then I'd call that "FAIL."
-
I have a lvl 38 MA/SR scrapper that I abandoned due to my overwhelming disappointment in the dps that is martial arts and went with claws instead. Add 2 cone dmg attacks, or one other PBAoE and martial arts will be more than just something cool to watch.
-
Very excited to roll a SR/MA tanker - very scared that tanker MA will be as disappointing as Kinetic Melee was.
