  1. As a highly casual player (hmm, let's see, somewhere around 40 months, no 50's, and only one even in the 40's and about 4 more in the 30's) I don't think the Incarnate system is going to do much for my enjoyment either way. I've still got oodles of content to explore before I run dry.

It's more perception than anything - there are so many things to do in CoX now that the population, even on servers like Virtue, is pretty spread out. With all the teleport options available you don't see nearly as many people street-sweeping or running to missions.

Not saying that CoX numbers aren't down - I think they are compared to two years ago, but what do you expect in a 6 year old game?

I've never seen this happen, as I always seem to end up soloing that mission. But since the storyline moves on whether she gets ganked or not, I wouldn't worry about it.

Ah, but that brings us to the crux of the matter...

Has anyone ever *seen* Manticore and Nemesis at the same time? <.< >.>

Don't - that little change has caught many many *many* folks off-guard. I think it took me a week to even notice it, so you're ahead of the curve if you ask me.
  8. The only time I can bring myself to do a respec is when they're about to give out a new one. Across 30-ish active characters I've probably used a half-dozen freespecs since about i7 or so, and I've never done the trial or used any of my vetspecs.

One nasty trick my SG's latest team has been using is "no endurance, no Moment of Glory".

( Read the text on small vs. medium vs. large yellows; you really CAN'T eat enough smalls to make a difference. )
Yeah, this particular mission was two Brutes against a base full of PPs and beaucoup other Crey. No holds to stack. Luckily that Zinger proc is Psi damage, which is the only one the PPs *don't* get uber-resistance on, or we might *still* be fighting them. Sounds like we're lucky it wasn't much worse.

I level pretty slow red-side - Tyrrano is, erm, I think he just dinged 32. And I agree, there's some great stuff in there. I liked Buzzsaw's dialogue, it just never made me fall on the ground.

I haven't played that arc yet, tho I did read thru the dialogue on Paragonwiki. I can't help but hear that bit in Dr. Doofenschmirtz's voice, which is *very* funny.

The whole TV arc looks like fun, too.

I'm actually an Architect by day. Those 'office building' interiors make /me/ crazy.

As for zoning, well, Paragon is better than Houston (but not by much!)

Ah yes. I've been playing for awhile now, but this is the first thing that literally made me fall outta my chair laughing.
  14. If you feel like you simply can't live without getting the stuff that's in the PvP zones, but you don't want to be 'griefed' (insert exaggerated quotes here a la Chris Farley) then I suggest you get a team together and include a few people who are good at PvP. Let them protect the PvE'ers and do your thing in relative safety.

As an aside, is it possible to eat enough yellows to hit those stinkin' Paragon Protectors? Never been so glad to have the Perfect Zinger proc in Knockout Blow, 'cause that was about the only damage I was doing...

This is all of the graphics information that you asked for. See if you can figure out what to do to make it stop crashing!
First off, that laptop isn't gonna run this game worth diddley. It's an 'integrated video' solution - it just doesn't have the graphics processing muscle this game requires.

Look, it's been said before, but you need to take this to the Technical Issues & Bugs forum. They may have some ideas to tweak down to the minimum settings and get it playable. But honestly, your laptop doesn't meet the minimum hardware requirements.

Turn them off? Those are both click powers, right? I wasn't aware you could 'turn off' a click power.

Although I suppose the new 'walk' power might turn them off? I should try that out...

Agree with this wholeheartedly. I love dropping into a PUG with a blaster and seeing 3 or 4 more on the team. Yeah, you get the occasional wipe, but it's sure fun.

I can tell you that Twilight Son's arc will give you an EB if you're solo and don't have your diff tweaked up.

    This.

Count me as a non-PVP type. If I were the OP, I might do something silly like say, "Oh, you go ahead and get your badge. I'll wait..." then gank them as soon as they're done. But I certainly wouldn't expect anyone else to do that.

Obviously I have no clue who did this 'testing' or how valid it is, so caveat emptor.

However I understand how it spoils the hard work that's often put into costumes.
I've never done a stoner myself. How hard would it be to do a pretty close approximation with a second costume slot, now that we can change size/gender with the Science pack?

Of course, switching costumes with power toggles means you'll want to macro in the change with the toggle, and then you end up getting your toggle out of sync with your costumes if you switch too much due to the costume switch timer, so...
